Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”

She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. About: I lived in California for 4 years and while I was there I was apart of a dog rescue. Many dogs lived at my house. I also had a couple of cats , so I am comfortable around both! I am working part time at the moment so my schedule is pretty open for the most part. You can just ask me a time and I can see if I can work around it! I watch a family friends dog a lot at my house. He just wanders around the house. He is usually stuck to me like glue so he doesn’t go far lol . When he stays at my house he just lays in bed with me. He is a Maltese and Chihuahua mix! When he goes outside to use the bathroom he doesn’t go far and he listens to me when I tell him to come. I do not have fencing or anything around my house.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life! Recently started boarding and at home visits within the past two years and I love it! I’ve worked with puppies-elderly dogs, helped train from bite work to bathroom breaks. I try to do it and love it all! I am a teacher and I have summer home free with my daughter. We don’t have any pets of our own and love to love the pets you love! I like to follow the requests of the client, wherever, however, and whenever i’m needed! I have a fenced in yard and no other pets.

Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

“Barbara is downright awesome. Leaving a pet for the first time is always tough, but Barbara made it as easy as could be. It doesn't hurt that our pooches both absolutely adore her! Beyond that, she was very communicative from the time we first messaged all the way up through the visit and beyond. We had a somewhat last minute family emergency that meant we had to cancel one visit and shift another, and Barbara was very understanding and flexible. Our pups can really be handful together (or by themselves sometimes, if we're being honest), but Barbara followed our instructions for how to play with them without it getting out of hand and by all accounts everyone had a blast. We got lots of wonderful pictures and updates from Barbara of our pups with their happiest faces on, playing with each other and by themselves. As I write this, the morning after coming home, our pooches are happy and playful but rested and not overly insane, just like I'd expect after day of good fun. I (and really, my dogs Tina & Russell) would absolutely recommend giving your dogs the opportunity to hang out with Barbara next time you need to get away.”
About: I grew up in a home that always had multiple animals. Whether it was cats, dogs, fish, snakes and plenty more I was always taking care of different animals. Now as I’ve grown older the love for animals has not stopped. Dogs are really the best companions and can understand you more than some humans. The love I have for animals is truly the same love I have for family members. I’ll always make sure they are being well taken care of, fed, running freely or on walks, playing and always loved! Your dog will be treated like my own! My work schedule varies quite a bit, I may need to go into work sometimes & in that case my mother is typically home anyway. I have a large house with a one acre yard and an and an overhead trolley cable. There are multiple rooms where the dogs can rest and a large crate where the doggies can be if they feel safe there.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child, and neighbors, family members, and clients have relied on me to walk, feed, and supervise their pets. I have dogwalked and petsit for many different households and love caring for animals and keeping them company. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time for dogwalking and other pet caretaking needs. I can also pet and housesit on weekends if needed. For dogs, I love to take them on a stroll through the park. If you’d like, I can run with them and provide exercise activities. I can also drop by and feed your pets if need be, and I’m flexible according to your needs!
About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking since my very early ages. I am in expert in care for dogs, cats, reptiles, and rodents. I have four years of professional dog walking/pet sitting experience, but a decades worth of experience in general animal care. I worked for a high-end dog walking service in DC and have been on Rover for around 2-3 years now. I have also worked at a vet, and am familiar with the health needs of most animals. I am currently in school at SUNY New Paltz, but if I can manage to fit dog walking or pet care in my schedule, I will always put in the effort to do so! About: I've loved dogs since I was a little kid, I always wanted to go and play with every dog we saw growing up. For years, I had asked my parents for a dog, and they finally said yes a few years ago. Since getting my dogs, a 12 year old Shitzu and a 12 year old Maltese Yorkie, my love for them only grew, and I love taking care of them. I've always known that I wanted to work with dogs once I got older. I've watched and currently watch over many dogs, whether they stay at my house or I go to theirs. I'm more familiar with smaller/medium sized dogs, but I am very comfortable with all sizes. I give every dog I work with my constant attention and care. I walk, feed, clean up after, give medicine to them, and of course, lots of cuddles and pets. Every pup is different, and I will do my absolute best to work with you and listen to instructions about how to give yours the best experience they could wish for! I am currently in school but have a very flexible and open schedule. I have off on Wednesdays and Friday-Sunday. I have a car so I am able to go back and forth as needed. I live in a house, and have a fenced in yard that contains a driveway, a deck, and large patch of grass for your puppy to do their business and have fun in! I have two 12 year old pups of my own, a Shitzu and a Maltese Yorkie. They'll greet your dog at arrival, but for the most part they mind their own business. I live with my mom, dad, and my two sisters. We all love dogs and will give your puppy all the attention they need. The dogs are allowed on most of the furniture and will be able to sleep anywhere on the first floor, or with me in my bed. I will follow any rules you have at your home and will treat your pup as similar to the way you do!

Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”
“Andrea is a beautiful, intelligent and compassionate professional. She cares about the animals she looks after while 'pet parents' are away. She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. All in all, I would recommend Andrea to work with anyone who has pets they love and want to broaden the scope of their pet's world by allowing Andrea to work with them and care for them. About: I lived in California for 4 years and while I was there I was apart of a dog rescue. Many dogs lived at my house. I also had a couple of cats , so I am comfortable around both! I am working part time at the moment so my schedule is pretty open for the most part. You can just ask me a time and I can see if I can work around it! I watch a family friends dog a lot at my house. He just wanders around the house. He is usually stuck to me like glue so he doesn’t go far lol . When he stays at my house he just lays in bed with me. He is a Maltese and Chihuahua mix! When he goes outside to use the bathroom he doesn’t go far and he listens to me when I tell him to come. I do not have fencing or anything around my house.

“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”
