“Melanie is fantastic. She did a great job with my two old grumpy bun buns. Followed instructions well and overall was great to work with. (Thanks Melanie! I’m sure the buns are going to miss you! 🐰)”

“Brandy took excellent care of our pets! We have two older animals both with medication schedules and unique challenges and Brandy provided excellent care throughout our entire absence. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a in-home sitter in this area.”

“Allison gets 10 stars out of 5!! This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier with Allison and the job she did with our 7 year old dog. She stopped by on two separate occasions prior to our trip to get acquainted with our dog. She was super diligent and on time for every visit. She communicated very well and provided ample updates and pictures. We’re lucky to have found her and will use her again.”

“First time using Rover and Liam isn’t used to strangers so we were both a bit nervous. Punctual; being right on time for the scheduled appointments, responsive with great communication and regular updates. The photos are a nice touch and helpful. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.”

“Catelyn was amazing with my two elderly cats. Even the antisocial one loved her! She sent me daily updates with pictures. Catelyn was wonderful and made my vacation stress-free.”

“Diane is awesome! I have an English Golden Retriever who loves everyone and a Border Collie mix that is timid around people and doesn't like other dogs. Diane has a soft, caring voice. She's been gradually earning Penelopes trust coming weekly in order to prepare for a long vacation where she will be staying at our home. She loves on my fur kids, gives them treats, back scratches, goes outside with them. I feel very comfortable that she'll do a great job taking care of our 2 fur kids while we're on vacation. I highly recommend her for all your pets needs!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for about 4 years now and I love all animals! I can do puppies all the way to senior pets and I have no problem with any breeds! I also love reptiles and rodents if you have any in addition to dogs or cats, i’d happily do anything you need me to do for them! I am a college student at siue but I still have a super flexible schedule and i have a lot of free time to hang out with pets! i’ve grown up with pets all my life and even worked at a doggy daycare in my hometown so i’d love to be there for pets who don’t like daycares and prefer to stay in their own space. Also, weather doesn’t bother me so i’ll walk your pet in rain or shine!
“Having a total care senior dog can be extremely stressful when planning a trip out of town. My dogs used to be road trip champs but unfortunately due to old age and one handicap, they have to stay behind. From the moment Mason came for a meet and greet both dogs greeted him and were calm and happy in their presence. Masons confidence and willingness to care for my total care senior dog was a relief. I was able to go out of town for 5 days with a peace of mind knowing that they were not only well taken care of but happy as well. I highly recommend him for all your doggie needs.”

About: I used to foster dogs. My yard is pretty big and I have a doggie door. My dogs do not mind visitors. I am off work during the summer and all major holidays. I am a teacher so I am off for the summers. When school is in session, I get off early and I am usually home before 4pm. I have a fenced in yard that can be accessed by a doggie door. I have 3 small dogs. I walk them and play with them on a regular basis. I also have 2 cats.
“Emily was great in coming to check-in on Leo a little short notice due to a trip I was on and some changes in plans in who was checking on him. As always Emily was super communicative and helpful 😊 I am so glad she was available to watch him.”

About: I have a 5 year old 100lb staffordshire terrier named Kaido that I raised and trained since he was 6 weeks old. I crate trained, house trained, recall trained, socialized, and lead trained him myself. I have also Kaido to help work with other dogs that are not well socialized or have anxiety issues. I am currently working two part time jobs as a research coordinator so I am typically able to be flexible with whatever schedule is requested. While my apartment does not have a fenced yard, I do have a large dog crate if needed and have knowledge of many dog parks and trails in the St Louis area.
“Abigail was able to come in and feed our cat last minute. She checked in and out through the app and took pics to let us know how Luna Tuna was doing, we were so grateful for her coming by and helping out while we were gone! She did a great job! :)”

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is the level of care, attentiveness, and protection I provide to every dog as if they were my own. I have experience working with young puppies who need patience, structure, and consistency with basic training and routines, as well as senior dogs who require gentle handling, medication management, and close monitoring. Safety is always my top priority I am highly observant on walks, mindful of surroundings, and proactive in preventing any potential risks. I understand canine body language, which helps me anticipate needs and avoid stressful situations. Whether it’s reinforcing positive behaviors, sticking to a detailed feeding schedule, or providing calm companionship for anxious pets, I create a secure and loving environment where dogs feel comfortable and protected. Owners can trust that their pets are not only cared for, but truly looked after with responsibility, awareness, and genuine affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially as an incoming medical student with a flexible study schedule. While my classes are structured, I have built-in breaks throughout the day that allow me to step away, reset, and give pets the attention they need. Studying also provides flexibility, since I can organize my time around walks, feeding schedules, play sessions, and check-ins. I value balance and know how important movement and fresh air are, so taking a dog out for a walk or spending time engaging with them fits seamlessly into my day. When I’m studying, pets stay in a safe, calm environment where they can relax comfortably nearby. Being in a rigorous academic program has strengthened my time management skills, responsibility, and attentiveness — qualities that directly translate into providing reliable, consistent, and safe care for every dog I look after. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm, and secure environment with constant supervision, scheduled walks, and plenty of attention. I maintain consistent routines for feeding, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all provided instructions, respect the space, and keep pets on their normal schedule to ensure stability. I’m attentive to behavior changes, mindful of surroundings on walks, and proactive about preventing any safety risks, so owners can feel confident their pets are protected and well cared for.
About: I've taken care of all kinds of animals since I was a child. From multiple pet households to livestock to exotic and unique animals, it would be easier to ask what I haven't cared for in my lifetime. Being a pet mother myself, I understand the concerns owners have when it comes to the care and comfort we desire for our fur-babies. Since working in the veterinary field, my skillset has only grown when it comes to providing care for our four-legged family members. With two fur-babies of my own and working full-time at a vet clinic at the end of the week, I'm available for half of the weekend and the beginning of the week for now. Since my own cats are rescues and highly sensitive to any changes in their daily routines, I'm currently unable to offer any hosting availability at my home. I am, however, able to stop by at any time to check on your fur-babies to make sure they have everything they need to be as comfortable as they can in your absence.

“Natalie was a life savor helping us in a last minute dog watching need! Our dog became sick just before a trip (unable to go to the boarders) and Natalie was able to help us with less than 24 hours notice! She took wonderful care of our dog and was great at giving updates!”

Merrimac cat parents share their Rover experiences
Absolute professionalism and top-notch care for our pets from Eric and Morgan! This lovely couple boarded our dog Rosie and made home visits to care for our cat and guinea pigs during our spring break vacation. They were very responsive to our messages and took care to learn all the instructions for feeding and care of our animals. We received photos and updates throughout the week. Morgan even watered my plant babies! We highly recommend Eric and Morgan and will definitely book them again.
