“What can I say!!!!! What an INCREDIBLE experience!!! This was our first time using Rover and we were so lucky to have found Tracey! An incredible woman with a loving family and an amazing way with our furbabies! This was our biggest concern, our dogs are like family to us, they live, sleep, eat, inside the house. They are used to apartment life although we recently moved into a large house with a yard and after only being here for a few months we leave for a planned vacation, I know they were probably thinking... WTH!!! Tracey quickly remedied any concerns we may have had, our two large dogs seemed to fit right in with her crew. Ranger is pretty easy going for an old man, but we often refer to Roxie as "Anxious Agnes" her anxiety levels are through the roof sometimes. They both seemed to adjust to Tracey and her home like they had lived there forever! While onboard the ship we received updates and pictures when possible and when we arrived back home, I'm not sure they wanted to leave! LOL Thank you so much Tracey for inviting us into your home and including our family as part of yours! I'm sure this is only the first of many vacations these two troublemakers will get to look forward to spending with you and yours!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

“This was my first time I used Rover. I had to go out of town for a few days. Prior to leaving my Dog Dusty with Min, I took him over so she could meet him. When I first met Min, she was warm and friendly. When I was leaving, she immediately got acquainted with my dog and took him outside and walked him. I felt comfortable and knew my dog would be in good hands. While I was away, Min kept me informed several times a day about his eating and potty time. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Merit home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Merit.

You and your Merit sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
