“Macy had a great day with Leslie and all her fur friends. This was Macy's first time away from home and Leslie did a great job with easing my mind and making Macy feel welcome. Leslie has great communication and sent videos throughout the day.”

“Andrew provided excellent care for our precious dogs. He kept them exercised, hydrated and rested. He sent pics and updates and made us feel so relaxed about our decision. Will definitely have Andrew watch our pups again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since i had my first dog in the first grade. A white Samoyed. When she was 3 she has 7 puppies! I was obsessed with them. We sold 6 and kept one. So we had 2 big white Samoyed’s that I had the responsibility of raising and attending to. They were my whole world. I’m always the first to be asked to watch someone’s dog because if there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s loving on dogs. I now have a mini dachshund who i love so much. I have experience with puppies, big dogs, little dogs, and senior dogs. I’m able to train puppies and care for senior dogs who would need more help in their day to day activities such as meds, frequent potty breaks, and patience. I also had an internship with the lake humane society in high school and have a special place in my heart for rescue dogs/cats who could use some extra love. I am currently a stay at home mom with my 8 year old who is in school and 1 year old who both love dogs I figured i could help out some dog momma or daddies who aren’t able to be home with them all day. I am able to let your dog out every couple hours. And even take them for brief walks. We have plenty of dog toys to share, bully sticks (while supervised), treats, and extra dog bowls if needed. My husband is a realtor so is home most of the time if i am not. I crate our dog at home when we leave. I also have a camera just in case to make sure she’s okay while we’re gone. We moved so we don’t have a fenced in yard anymore. But had leads if they want to stay outside for a longer period of time. I also live next to my parents who have a fenced in yard where i could take them if you feel more comfortable with that.
About: ✨ Personalized Cat Care ✨ Hello, friends and fur babies! I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have been a trusted Rover sitter since May 2023. While I grew up around dogs and volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, my professional pet-sitting journey has naturally led me to specialize in personalized, high-quality cat care. I’ve had the opportunity to care for cats of all personalities and needs, including multi-cat households, senior cats, and shy or anxious kitties. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, following detailed care routines, and providing patient, attentive support tailored to each cat’s temperament. My approach focuses on consistency, comfort, and enrichment. Each visit is intentional and unhurried, with thoughtful attention given to interactive play, mental stimulation, cozy companionship, and plenty of affection—always respecting your cat’s individual boundaries and preferences. If you’re traveling this holiday season and want peace of mind knowing your cat is receiving attentive, personalized care in the comfort of their own home, I’d love to connect. 🐾🤍 I am currently working full-time as a nanny and part-time as a bartender at a local restaurant. My schedule can be busy, but I am very flexible and will always do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs. Please feel free to message me to discuss your schedule—I’m happy to work with you to make sure your pet gets the care they deserve! I will care for your pet as if they were my own! I primarily offer drop-in visits and am highly detail-oriented and attentive when it comes to following instructions. My goal is always to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable and confident in the care I provide. For first-time bookings, a scheduled “meet and greet” is required. This helps prevent any miscommunication about expectations, ensures your pet is comfortable with me, and confirms that I’m a good fit for your family.
About: Hello! My name is Maria and I am very excited to meet your furry friend! I’ve raised 2 large dogs and 2 small dogs so I am comfortable with any size pet. I also worked at a doggie day care center where I worked with all size dogs for 8 plus hours at a time and facilitated friendly play so I am able to handle multiple dogs or cats at a time! I live in the mentor area but am willing to travel as well. Please let me know if this is the type of sitter you are looking for! I work as a nurse so my schedule is pretty flexible. I care for my own pets with walks, park visits, swimming, agility and lots of playing. I am always cautious when taking care of pets in my home or another persons home. I understand that allowing someone into your home can be nerve racking so I am always sure to communicate as much as I can with home owners and follow their specific instructions to ensure the visit goes as smooth as possible.
“Caymus thoroughly enjoys his time with Kyle. From his daily walk and outdoor playtime to snuggles on the couch. He feels extremely comfortable and looks forward to his daycare with Kyle!”

About: My passion for caring for animals began in childhood while growing up on a farm. From a young age, I helped clean stalls, collect fresh chicken eggs each morning, and care for a variety of animals. I was always the kid begging my parents for more pets, and animals quickly became my greatest source of comfort through a tough childhood. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working on a horse farm, where I learned the value of consistency, safety, and attentive care. In addition, I’ve fostered bottle-baby kittens, assisted my mom in breeding golden retrievers, and helped raise her litters many times. My love for animals has no boundaries — I’ve worked with everything from farm animals to dogs, cats, and even jumping spiders, which I currently breed. I have two dogs of my own — Meme, who is 6, and Pia, who is 3 — and they are my whole heart. They have a daily routine I take seriously: outside time at 6:00 a.m., treats before I head to work, a midday potty break, and an evening 30-minute walk at 5:30 p.m. On weekends, we enjoy adventures at the park or exploring new places. I understand how important structure and routine are for pets, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve provided a wide range of pet care — from weekend stays to week-long vacations — both in my home and in others’. Whether it’s an active pup needing exercise, a senior dog requiring gentle attention, or a young animal that needs extra patience, I’m flexible, attentive, and committed to giving each pet the love, safety, and care they deserve. My pups have an entire routine each day. In the morning they go outside at 6:00 am. I do have a fenced in back yard, so I leave my sliding glass door open so they may come in and out. The get treats in the morning before I go to work. I do return home for lunch to let them out to potty. I return home around 5:30 each day and we go for a 30 minute walk. They get their bedtime treat and we start again the next day. On weekends I do like to take them to the park or on adventures. My pups would love some friends, and sleep overs. I know how important my dogs routine and/or schedules are and I would take your pup’s routine just as seriously. The amount of care I offer for pets on a regular basis always fluctuates. I have had pups for a week long vacation, and I have also had just weekend stays. Various weekends I do stay at others homes and care for their pets. I’m very flexible.
About: I have been dog sitting for 10+ years, all shapes, ages & sizes. I helped train/walk my neighbors therapy dog while I was in high school and I was Involved in a club at The Ohio State University called Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I trained, walked and sat dogs of ages 2 months and up that then get assigned to someone in need of help. I have also worked at a vet hospital assisting/watching the doctor during procedures, check-ups and client visits. I love working with dogs/cats and always learning new training techniques. I love watching them grow and learn to become wonderful, well behaved dogs/cats. I love playing and being active with dogs and/or cats and giving them as much attention as they need/want. Your mind will be free of worry while you're away. Your cute furry family member will have the best care and the most attention you could possibly hope for. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs myself to approve of that! :) I work from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day to attend to your furry babies! Potty breaks, walks during lunch, etc! I have a fenced in yard and 3 dogs to keep your pup company! I also have a crate if needed. Can accommodate to any normal routines at home.

If I am boarding / house sitting I need to be set up by 8AM and my work day is done by 5pm. Each pet is different and will have different needs. I do my best to adhere to those needs. inside the home pets are free to roam around designated areas, which are kept clean and pet friendly. “My dog did well in Austin’s care. He enjoyed playing with their dogs and came home happy! He provided updates and was quick to respond. Austin came recommended by three different people. I will definitely use him again.”

About: I currently have a 4 year old mini Australian shepherd. My experience includes watching a puppy overnight, helping train a deaf dog, and taking neighbors dogs on walks. I am a teacher so I am available all of June-August to provide all day care for dogs or just walk dogs during the day. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home where dogs are treated like family. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of affection. I follow each dog’s routine and make sure they feel happy and relaxed while they’re away from home.
“Loved working with Brandon! I was a little nervous leaving my dog for the first time but Brandon let me tour the back yard, I felt like everything was secure and safe. Very responsive and I could tell my pup had a great day. She usually cries when I pick her up from grooming/vet/etc but she was super laid back today!”

“Pogo had his very first day at daycare with Flora, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! He seemed so at home there as he dove right into the fun activities Flora had planned. It was such a joy to see him having an amazing time! The warm welcome we received was simply amazing. Flora really took the time to understand Pogo’s schedule, which made everything go so smoothly. Knowing he was in such great hands was incredibly reassuring. Flora was just a quick call or text away if we had any questions. As a sweet touch, she left us a handwritten note about Pogo’s day with her, which really put our minds at ease and showed us how much fun he had and the care she took of him. We can’t wait to book with Flora again in the future!”

“Cheryl is our go to whenever we need a sitter for Kona. She is flexible with scheduling and treats Kona with the best of care. She provides regular walks and pictures/videos to put us at ease. Kona loves to watch for chipmunks, birds and deer from Cheryl’s windows. I have booked both daycare and overnight care for long trips and we always know we can count on Cheryl.”

About: I have found a love of dog care and enrichment while training my Cockalier pup in scent work, dock diving, and tricks! My dog and I love going on daily walks and playing frisbee in the yard, and it would be my pleasure to host your pup! Currently WFH with flexible morning, lunchtime, and evening schedule, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup and get them the exercise and enrichment they need! I have a pet-friendly home and a large yard (although it is not fenced) in a safe neighborhood. I am close to many metroparks and walking trails for daily walks.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
