“Michelle was incredible! She went above and beyond what we asked when she checked on our cat, Pounce. We came home to a happy and fed cat! Will absolutely look to use Michelle again in the future.”

“***FIRST TIME ROVER USER**** When my normal sitter became unavailable, unexpectantly, I had no idea what to do. I was at the point of not going away on my vacation because it was about a week away from leaving. This was my first time using Rover, and my anxiety was through the roof about the entire process and the idea of a stranger coming into my home. I chose Marybeth primarily based upon location, her photos of her and her pets and her age/experience. Upon meeting Marybeth, her overall kindness and genuine, sweet, friendly personality put me at ease immediately. She listened attentively to what my needs were and my animals routines, without trying to change or judge anything. She was promptly responsive to all of my communication prior to leaving for my trip and the duration as well. When meeting (2) of my (3) fur babies kitties (only because 1 is a scaredy cat and won't come out for anyone really), you could tell immediately that she has a love of cats and taking care of them appropriately and lovingly. I left instructions for her and she followed all of my requests (even non animal related, like bringing in my mail and checking on my refrigerator door that pops open). She was even kind enough to check on my hamster even though that was not part of the animals requested to watch. Every day while I was gone, she was on time, left me a happy little note about the status of everything and pictures of all my babies. Personally, the fear/worry/anxiety about leaving my babies as well as just someone coming in my home was enormous, and Marybeth really put that to ease for me. (I know I already mentioned that, but I figured for anyone reading this, who is on the fence about hiring through Rover). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, sweet person to take care of your precious family members while you are away. She even returned my key promptly upon my return. Thank you to her again. I am forever grateful for her.”

“Hailey watched our very velcro and very muscular staffy mix and followed all directions well. Hailey was prompt and friendly. Zale felt safe and is tired out! Will rebook!”

“Kailey was great with our dogs during the drop in visit. One of our dogs is protective and weary of new people, but he was calm and comfortable with her. We’d definitely hire her again!”

About: Hi there! I'm a 34-year-old professional living in Red Hook. While I have not yet adopted a dog of my own, I have house-sat, walked dogs for over 50 miles through apps like Rover, and cared for the dogs of my friends. My clients consistently rate me "Extra Caring" and going "Above and Beyond". ♻️ I use compostable waste bags that are environmentally friendly ❇️ I place an AirTag on the collars of dogs for the duration of walks for added safety 💚 I provide lots of care and affection for your furry family members --- I work from home, which makes it easy for me to pet sit. Dog and cat owners here on Rover are some of the friendliest people I've met. Which is why I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member soon; especially dogs whose breeds rhyme with "boudin' beaver" and "musky", not that I'm playing favorites! I currently have availability on weekends from Friday evening to Sunday evening. I am available for drop-ins, walks, and house stays in the Albany area. I am a quiet and respectful person. I am happy to take care of your dog or cat in your home with any instructions you provide. I have previously house sat for friends who had two adult huskies and we all had a great time together.

About: I've been involved in dog rescue for over 20 years and often board former foster pups. I give a lot of attention and soft play to minimize the stress of their owners being away. I recently completed a 220 hour veterinary assistant certification. I have a flexible work schedule Monday-Friday which allows me to leave midday for walks, feedings, etc. Weekends are typically wide open. I am available for sunrise and sunset walks at the local golf course or in your neighborhood. I am off for the summers and all school holidays. Pets in my home enjoy lots of exercise and soft play--fetch, tug of war, etc. Dogs that prefer to stay home will have a minimum of 3 visits per day for feeding, exercise and play. About: I've had dogs in my family for over 30 years and cats for over 10 years! Animals should be treated with kindness and love because that's what they give us. I understand the time and attention that new pets require as well as the gentle and caring touch that all pets deserve. I've always been my friend's dog sitter and own two cats of my own. I'm a teacher so I will be free for most of the summer during the week. I enjoy the outdoors so would love to take your dog for a walk and also care for your cat or dog indoors. I've never had a fish but would happily check in on those water babies as well! At this time, I am not able to board your cat or dog in my apartment as I have two cats of my own. Thanks.

About: I have had dogs since the day I was born and wouldn't want it any other way! Family and friends have relied on me to care for their pets for years, and they have been confident in my abilities as a former employee at a 24-hour emergency animal hospital. I'm experienced working with a variety of breeds and temperaments, including reactive dogs with behavioral challenges. I am well versed in force-free positive reinforcement methods. Professionally I work as an epidemiologist, so you can also be sure I am taking all health and safety precautions! I am also available most afternoons/evenings and on weekends. I can drop in for walks and to spend time with pups in your home during these times too! I do everything I can to keep your pet comfortable and stress-free! Being the owner of a reactive dog I understand how important it is to mantain a schedule, enforce training, and take safety precautions. I have a firm understanding of animal body language and knowledge of how to behave around dogs of all temperaments!

“Theresa looked after my dog a few years ago and I can genuinely say she is one of the most dedicated and caring people I know! She came to my house and kept my dog company while I was out because she was a hyperactive rescue pup. Theresa takes the best care of dogs and knows how to keep them happy and healthy. I wish we still lived closer so she could still take care of my dogs!”

Elena R.

“Elena was very kind and flexible with our schedule. She even came over for a meet and greet before the actual day we set up. Would highly recommend.”

Emer G.
“Emer the dog whisperer! She has fostered hundreds of dogs over the years with care and compassion and thoughtfulness for their well-being. She has managed dogs with every personality imaginable. She has real systems in place and uses research based training. Emer is extremely conscious of the safety of the dogs she provides care for. Emer makes sure the dogs are properly exercised and socialized. There have been countless puppies that Emer has fostered that still go absolutely bananas when they see her. I think that says everything you need to know about the care that she gives.”

Leah B.
“Leah is an animal lover, and has two cats of her own who she loves to spoil! She is gentle, kind, and has a calm demeanor that helps animals feel safe. Perfect fit for Rover!”

Angela L.

“Angela was excellent, my cat Nene was well cared for, and I would highly reccomend her for anyone looking for a cat sitter. Thank you for taking care of Nene!”

Stephanie H.
“I highly recommend Stephanie as your pet-sitter! She has taken care of my two cats on multiple occasions, both for short and long durations, and has done a wonderful job every time! Stephanie is very reliable, and even watched my cats for over a week, never missing a visit. Not only did she stop in every day, but she made sure to spend time playing with my cats and giving them some love instead of just quickly popping in and out. She is also a great communicator and would reach out to me regularly to share a picture or to let me know about any concerns that came up. If you're looking for someone who will actually provide your pets with some comfort and love while you're gone, Stephanie is definitely your girl!”

Andrea A.

“Andrea was great with my cat! Made me feel much better leaving her alone for the weekend. Spend awhile playing with her and sent plenty of pictures.”

Anna J.
“Anna loves, loves, loves all animals but especially little doggies. She loves them like they are her children.
