“Kissie was AMAZING with our dear sweet Bianca. She took her to an incredible dog park, gave her tons of TLC, and got her nice and pooped (tired) for long ride in car after her stay. Our only concern was that we didn’t think Bianca would want to come back with us 😂”

“I am so happy I found Tara! I have felt totally comfortable leaving my forever baby with her. He’s very temperamental and moody with so many people. But he seemed calm when I picked him up. She sent many photos and updates throughout the day which put my mind at ease. I definitely plan on using Tara again when I come to Memphis again”

“Derek was so friendly and loved on our puppies from the minute we dropped them off. We were driving through Memphis and wanted to visit Graceland so his help was greatly appreciated.”

“Dennis and his wife Sue are so great! I left my French bulldog with them for daycare, and she usually has some separation anxiety but she did great :) You can tell that they both love dogs and are just sweet people in general.”

“Kelly was very communicative during the scheduling the meet and greet. Her other dogs were quite excited to meet my pup, and while they startled me, my pup didn’t seem to be too scared. Kelly made sure to keep the dogs separate with strong gates and an organized system for rotating backyard bathroom breaks. I highly recommend Kelly for boarding and sitting.”

“Kaylen truly cares for my dog as if she were her own, and it shows in every interaction. Lulu gets so excited the moment we pull up to her house, which tells me everything I need to know. I have complete peace of mind whenever she's in her care and never worry for a second. It's such a comfort knowing my dog is loved, safe, and happy while I'm away. I can't recommend her enough!”

About: I've grown up with all kinds of animals, cats and dogs. I have two dogs of my own currently, with the oldest being 11 and I've had him since he was 6weeks old. I dog and cat sit frequently for friends, in their home or they come to me if they want to. I always treat each animal as their own individual with their own personality and take time to pay attention and learn what they need, like, don't like, etc. Your animals will always be safe with me. I work from home so am able to be flexible. Your animals can always come stay with me if you need them to or I can stay with them if they are more comfortable in their own space. In my home, I have a fenced in yard and two dog-friendly dogs for play dates. In client/friends home, I will follow whatever rules or needs you have for your pets. I'm comfortable giving all kinds of care, medicine, etc.
“Jenny was great! They took such great care of Camper and sent us pictures and updates throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her to anyone nervous about leaving their pets with a new person for the first time! We will be booking her again in the future.”

“Very communicative - I loved all the photos and updates given! I definitely felt that Nova was in good hands. Her two dogs were very friendly and got along well with mine! Would definitely book again.”

“Mark is really friendly and you can tell he really loves animals. My 10lb Shih Tzu Callie got along with his dog Lucky and I was not worried about my little baby being alone with his German Shepherd mix. I'm also really thankful about how flexible he was with my crazy, changing schedule about drop-off and pick-up times. I'm glad to have dropped Callie off with Mark. Thanks again! I appreciate you watching my little baby over the weekend!”
“Amber is so very sweet to my dog (Honey), I thought I would have to call off work because I couldn't find anyone to watch my sweet girl. Amber truly is a lifesaver thank you so much 😊”

“Gage was very responsive and accommodating to my dogs stay at his house. He sent pics daily, kept me informed, and they had a great time. He was flexible with drop off and pick up, and always responded in a timely manner. I will definitely use again in the future. Thanks!”

“Sammy had a great day care day! We had a quick reservation and Melissa and Dustin were amazing to accommodate and schedule a day care visit before boarding! All the photos and videos sent showed a happy dog settling in well with the other dogs in the home. The home is lovely and very dog friendly! Such a sweet couple who really love and understand dogs! Great communication and sharing of information! Will use M and D again and again!”

“This was a most excellent choice for Stella. Friendly people, friendly dogs, they had treats, they played in the back yard together. We'll do this again. Thank you Shoshana !! Stella said woof woof. !!”

“Vicki is an absolute sweetheart. My coco is very timid of new people and just needs patience and space to allow him to open up and trust a new friend. Vicki did just that today, was patient and gave him space. I picked him up and he was relaxed and happy, which makes my dog mama heart so happy! He’s staying with her next month and I feel so comfortable leaving him with her.”

“Our dog had a great time at Dalton’s. He has a nice backyard. Glad my dog also got to meet a cat. We may use him again so that she can really learn about cats.”

About: I’ve taken care of both doggos and cats since I was 13. My family used to rescue dogs and rehome them, so I have experience with a wide range of breeds from Great Danes to Yorkies to all kinds of kitties as well as a range of ages from newborns to seniors. I can bottle feed and administer medicine if needed. I just love being around animals, so I can assure you that your babies will receive the best treatment imaginable with me. All the love you would normally give them will be felt with my care :) I work from home full time and have the flexibility to step away from my computer whenever I need to. This means I am able to provide constant supervision and care to your fur babies. I care for at most one doggo or cat at a time so I can ensure your fur baby is safe and being cared for properly. I have lots of fenced land to play and walk them while they are here. For non-boarding services, you can trust that I will care for your babies as if they were receiving the care directly from you. I am willing to travel to your home to check on your babies, play with them, and take care of their needs.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Memphis
Okeemah was a delight & my dog was happy in her care while we were visiting Memphis. She is the closest sitter to Graceland & Beale Street. Though we had a confirmed 2-day booking for day care, there was a last minute emergency at work (she was on call) she had to attend to. She tried to offer some options but they just didn't work, so the Saturday sit was cancelled/refunded. Honestly, this put us in a bind but we adjusted our plans as best we could. She was available Sunday & gave my dog the kindness & attention he needed. She send photos of their walks & relaxing on the couch - loved that! Overall, I recommend her & would look her up again if in Memphis.

Kissie was amazing! She was able to accommodate my last-minute daycare request, which I really appreciated. Communication was great, and it was clear my dogs were well cared for and having a wonderful time. I would absolutely book with Kissie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.

Thank you for being a great sitter for uno and I’m glad he has other dogs to play with . Will definitely use you again while my other sitter is off rover for the next month . Also just make sure that uno food is wrapped back up with the aluminum foil but other than that , thank you .

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Memphis commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
