About: Back in 2014, I attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology, graduated early with my diploma in Assistance Animal Laboratory Technicians, also with a certification in Purina Mills Animal Care Course. I have done an internship with North Shelby Animal Shelter as well as Bartlett Animal Shelte, where I took stray dogs/ abandoned out for walks and to play. Most of the dogs I encountered with at the shelter were sweet and loving dogs that just need a friend and time to spend with a person. I treated those dogs as my own. I have also intern at University of Tennessee Health and Science Center taking care of rodents, pigs, and other animals. I am someone who is mature, candid and who has integrity. Everyday I work to improve myself and my skills which is part of maturing and becoming better at what I do, this is why I want clients to choose me. I will treat your pets as my own pets. I will love and care for them, as if they where my own.

“She took great care of our cat on check ins and was flexible in our requests to also check on our chicken. Great communication and very loving and kind to our pets, would recommend.”

“Shelby took great care of my cat Lola. We needed her to stop by and give her a specific kind of food, and to let her play for a little while. She followed our instructions for the whole stay, and we got back to a happy/healthy cat.”

About: Hey everyone! My name is Joya I’m a college student from Memphis Tn! I'm a passionate animal lover with 3 years of caring for my own pup! Dogs aren't just pets to me - they're family. My deep love for animals and the excellent care I've provided my dog has been very much appreciated by others. I have extensive hands-on experience with feeding, walking, grooming, and providing engaging playtime. I even trained my own dog! I was the go-to pet sitter for family, even helping my brother rescue a stray once. You can trust me to treat your furry friend like one of my own! For scheduling, I have pretty flexible availability .My schedule is open to ensure your furry friends receive the attentive care they deserve during this time. If I'm caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner's instructions closely. This includes feeding them according to their regular schedule, taking them for walks, and giving them plenty of attention and love. I also make sure to keep their living area clean and tidy. Every pet is unique, so I always adapt my care to their specific needs and preferences. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I strive to provide the best care possible.
“Emma was great with our cat and clearly gave her lots of love! She sent a nice photo or two every day and made sure to check all the boxes of little things we asked her to do as well! Highly recommend!”

About: We are a married couple in our 40s interested in house/pet-sitting together. We have pet-sat for a few NC and TN families for the past several years, and both of us had pet-sat before we met as well. Zachary works from home and so will be around the house much of the day if dogs need a mid-day walk or meal. Denny wakes up early and can feed and walk dogs in the early morning. Between us, we have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, livestock, reptiles, and amphibians. We are willing to work with other animals as well. We prefer to sleep at the pet-owner's home when needed, as this means that we’re around and available for the pets at various times throughout the day. Denny also does drop-in care and dog-walking. Zachary has experience training dogs and volunteering with cats as well. Looking forward to meeting you! Zachary has a flexible work schedule and works from home. Denny is available to care for pets in the mornings, sometimes late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We both enjoy walking and hiking and would love to take your dogs for walks. We don’t bring pets into our home but prefer overnight care in the pets’ home and are also open to drop-in care and walks. We are both very gentle with dogs and cats and enjoy lots of cuddles with pets, and we also make sure to take them for walks if desired.
About: I’ve taken care of many pets, from blind dogs to low maintenance cats. I’m very patient and responsible. I’ll make sure that your pets’ every needs are taken care of! I’ve changed litters, and made sure that the floors and trashed around the litters are clean. I’ve walked dogs, and I always make sure to clean up after them. I’ll make sure that the basic needs are met, like food, water, and cleanups, but I’ll also make sure your pets have the attention they need. I’m also very communicative!
“bryan was super responsive and communicative and did everything i asked of him! i have 2 cats, both of which have different needs, and he was able to accommodate them perfectly. would definitely recommend him!”

“I will definitely use Bailey again. I felt confident leaving my pup with her and she kept me well informed on how he was doing. Hoping to have Bailey as a regular!”

“This was our first time for Bjarka to drop in on our two dogs. She did a great job on a cold, rainy day and followed our instructions perfectly to keep the muddiness to a minimum. Our dogs really liked her, and we will definitely have her on our list to have over again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of pets as long as I can remember. Aside from having two of my own, I also worked for 3 summers as a veterinary technician so I have significant experience caring for all animals including those with medical needs. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. For house sitting, I can work from your home during the day if you have reliable wifi. I am available to care for your pet at your home to minimize the distribution to their schedule. Your pets safety and comfort is my top priority.
“Lacey was a perfect fit for my dog! She was very attentive, caring and motivated everyday she cared for my pup, I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely be using her services again!”

About: My experience is extensive. Growing up as the oldest sibling of four, in a pet loving household, we’ve had just about every animal under the sun! I’ve taken care of puppies to geriatric cuties (my home pup being 18) and I know all the love and care they need. I’m very responsible and have often been told I go above and beyond in my care! I am currently a dental student at the UT and am there at the most from 8-12, 1-5. A day that long isn’t necessarily typical, but it shows the longest range which I thought may be helpful! Often times I’m home in the morning or afternoon. I also study at home, that being the bulk of my time. I have a fenced in yard and no other animals, perfect for a pet that is used to being by themselves. I do not have a crate, but can do whatever you’re used to!
About: I've taken care of pets since I was 12- my own cats, extended family and friends' dogs, even a friend-of-a-friends 8 guinea pigs! I've got extended experience with a variety of pets and environments, and I am dependable and flexible for all needs. I work and study basically full time, but this gives me lots of "free time" dedicated to working from home. This lets my schedule be quite variable and flexible at times. Pet safety is very important- keeping track of pets especially outside, making sure they aren't in unsafe conditions in the house (for pet and house), ample walking time, and making sure doors are closed and locked.

“Erica was a great cat sitter. She was available last minute over the holidays. She texted photos and went the extra mile to clean up and keep my cars happy. Would recommend.”

“Jourdan was wonderful at getting Whopper used to her. She updated progress and sent photos every visit. Whopper is definitely better off with Jourdan than boarding him at a veterinary office. I’m hoping this also helps him socialize with strangers.”

“Valerie has taken excellent care of my Bengal cats. Not only are their needs met, but she takes time to play with them and sends cute pics to show they love her being there”

Amy is incredible. She takes great care of my dog, and I can rest at ease knowing that I can trust her both with my dog and in my home. She is kind, patient, understanding, and shows great love to my dog. I am so grateful to have found her and cannot say enough good things about Amy.

Davis was a fantastic drop-in pet sitter. I always felt confident and comfortable knowing my pet was in his care. He was quick to respond, very flexible with scheduling, and easy to communicate with. I really appreciated how reliable and accommodating he was, and I would absolutely book with him again.

I’m so thankful to have found Jess! My dogs are so much happier with her coming to visit them during the day. Her communication is outstanding, and she sends the best photos during her visit! She has made this experience incredibly easy and put any worries I had to rest. Thank you, Jess!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
