“Miryam is truly an angel with my babies. From our very first meet and greet, I instantly had a good feeling about her especially when my girl cat immediately gravitated toward her. She has an amazing ability to care for all three of my cats, balancing their different personalities. She's playful and engaging while also knowing when to give them their space. As we all know, cats can be particular, but Miryam has always been gentle, attentive, patient, and welcoming with my babies ever since our very first meeting. I will always have complete peace of mind knowing my babies are in her care, and I couldn't recommend her more highly ◡̈”

“Chelsea was a great choice for watching over my cat while I was out of town. Chelsea kept frequent contact and assured me throughout the process that my Angel was doing well. I recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Great communication! She was quick to respond to any message or question we had. Very professional and our dog had no issue warming up to her. Would highly recommend! Plan to use her again in the future.”

“Makayla has been a lifesaver. She has been great with all my fur babies. Even my most fearful cat has warmed up to her. She also has great communication. I’ve already utilized her services multiple times and will continue to.”

“Thank you for taking such great care of our cats and home. We appreciate the directions being adhered to and respected as well as updates and pics of them while we were gone.”

About: I've been around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always played an active role in caring for our family dogs, from daily walks and feeding to playtime and giving them plenty of love and attention. Today, I regularly pet sit and dog walk for friends and family, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, or just relaxing with company, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I work a full-time schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, but I am available to provide attentive pet care during evenings, overnight stays, and weekends. I'll make sure your dog receives plenty of exercise, affection, and consistent care while following their normal routine so they feel comfortable and well cared for in your home. I provide attentive, personalized care in your home so your dog can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I'll follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has different needs and energy levels, so I always adapt my care to match their routine and personality. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away, while also treating your home with the same respect I would my own.

She made sure their litter was clean, bowls were full, fresh water was always available, and that they had plenty of play and socialization time. She was communicative and sent great photos and videos as updates. We are so grateful for her for all the hard work and would absolutely recommend! Thank you Keana!!”

“Ivy has been absolutely amazing over the past month. She was able to hop right in two days after our little pup came home, and has been a godsend on my in-office days. Gilly loves her and enjoys playing and snuggles. I would definitely recommend her for her excellent communication, demeanor, and professionalism, and even as our pup moves to Puppy Preschool, we will still be working with Ivy whenever we need a sitter or a drop-in.”

“Yvonne was amazing. My cat Ares absolutely loved her. Even when he first met her, he ran up to her and rubbed on her!! Lol She sent me photos daily of them playing together, which I totally loved. She feed him and changed his little box while I away. She even switched up his food because he dislikes eating the same food everyday. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. She deserves 100 stars!! I will definitely book her again!!”
“My dogs love her, including my chihuahua who takes a long time to warm up to new people! Such a huge help having her let my little guys out in the middle of the day. Highly recommended! 👍🏽”
“Shelly was great with my 2 year old Pitbull Dalmatian mix, I highly recommend! Shelly came for a meet & greet on very short notice & impressed me immediately. She was very gentle & comforting to my timid, reactive, & nervous momma from the 1st moment they met! Shelly is punctual, trustworthy, & very good with communicating (even checked how many treats she should be giving?) to owners! I will 100% sure have Shelly sit for my baby again! Thank You Shelly!!”

Kelly was amazing with my 2 kitties. She went above and beyond by opening and closing blinds, to make it look like I was home, cleaning up an accident that Bruce had and making sure my cats had their play time. She always kept in contact by sending pictures of cats playing, eating and just lounging around. I definitely recommend Kelly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Melvindale. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
