“Lasya was incredible with my guy Rocky! He loved hanging out with her two pups and came home happy and tired from a busy day! He had such a great time and was looking back with longing when we picked him up! Rocky is looking forward to see them again :)”

“We are from Ohio, and recently had Lizbeth watch our dog, Oreo, for about 4 hours. We couldn’t be happier with the experience. Oreo had such a great time—not only was he well cared for, but he also got to play with another dog. One great thing about Lizabeth is that she knows how to make dog feel comfortable. We highly recommend her and will book again if we are in that area.”

“Asheley did a fantastic job looking after our Jack Russell terrier Stella. It has been a long time since Stella had been with a dog sitter, but she felt really comfortable with Asheley, and already on the second day was looking forward to going back. Drop off and pickup were super easy, and Stella got plenthy of exercise and stimulation during the day, so she was easy to deal with after a long day at work.”

“Very happy with the service.”

About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and passion for pet care comes from learning pet care from my dad who is police dog trainer. I currently work from home it's a flexible job so l would have plenty time for the pet. Also I would love to go out on walks. I have fenced yard where we can go out play, I have play toys, yummy treats for the fur babies. Also would love to go on walks. I do not take many pets in one service so I can provide more personalized services.

“Great sitter, quick communications, sent pictures, accommodated late pick up, pup is pooped and napping, grey job, highly recommended.”

About: I've owned dogs for the past 20 years, first an Australian Shephard, then a yellow Lab. I've also cared for the dogs of friends and family. After the death of my most recent guy, Petey, I decided that I want the companionship of dogs without the vet bills$ I'm now retired from teaching and have all the time in the world to sit, walk, transport and care for dogs. I can accept dogs during the day or night, 7 days a week. Your dogs will be in an open setting in my home. I have a fenced yard so they can play. I live near a park and a riverfront, so long walks can be taken through natural settings. I accept only one or two dogs at a time, depending on the personality and behaviour of the dogs. I have a van that can transport dog to wherever they need to go.

About: I’m currently a student and working from from home and love dogs to my core. I have a 5 year old toy poodle named Mason. He’s so sweet & playful and he’s always looking for another puppy to play with. I have had experience with dogs my entire life, but in college I decided to get one of my own and I have no regrets yet! I will make sure your pet receives endless love and affection, long walks, loads of fun and trips to the dog park to mix and mingle. Safety of your pet is my priority so there’s no need to worry while they’re under my watch. I understand how stressful it can be to find someone you trust with your baby, so I will be sure to keep you updated throughout our day. I enjoy taking photos of my dog and nature so expect pictures updates as well. I am super flexible so for whatever you need, don’t hesitate to ask! I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! I’m available for daily walks, drop in visits and boarding. I work from home so I have the time and flexibility to care for your pet and give them the attention they need throughout the day. I am very respectful of your space and your dog and their’s. Making sure only do what I am advised to and anything outside of that I’d check with the owner prior.

“Karen was a great help with Luna when I unexpectedly had to leave the dog home alone for a VERY long day. She came over to give her cuddle and pee breaks and a trip to Barkside, Luna’s home away from home. 💕 Even went the extra mile to clean up a little dog mess. Thanks!!!!!”

About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, my parents raised seeing eye dogs, and I helped with training and daily care from a young age. In my teens, I helped my mom run a small dog-boarding business out of our home, so I'm used to dogs with all kinds of temperaments and routines. Over the years, I've often been the go-to friend for dogs that need a little extra patience or understanding, whether that's a shy senior or a high-energy handful. I recently lost my own pup, and while l'm not ready for another full-time, I miss having a dog around and love being able to offer that care and attention to someone else's. I'm currently working on fixing up my very old duplex so I'm home, tinkering around most of the time, and my schedule is flexible. If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past and I have access to a dog bathing suite for $15 for the use and $25 per dog. Blow drying those furry friends coats out! :) I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

“Awesome! He really helped me out when I was in a bind. Great with communication, following care instructions, and just being patient with my puppy. I will be sending Otis back to him when I need his help.”

“Raeshawn was amazing. I came to Detroit for NCAA game and she took Vella in for day care and was amazing with her. Walks and lots of interaction.”

“Lauren was great, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole experience. Lauren was so nice and professional, always punctual. Her rate is incredibly fair, too. And my dog, Fern, got two of her fave things while there: to sit with a human and to watch the neighborhood from a window. I now like Rover a lot more than transitional dog day care places, and most of that has to do with Lauren. Will definitely be back.”

About: Need a house sitter, plant sitter, or pet sitter you can count on? Hi, I’m Madrona — a remote marketing professional with a flexible schedule, years of experience, and a serious soft spot for furry companions. Since my family (and their pets) no longer live nearby, I’m looking to spend more quality time with animals — whether that’s a quick walk, a drop-by visit, or a longer stay in your home while you’re away. I’m available for: • Overnight house and pet sitting (I’ll stay in your home and care for pets + plants) • Drop-ins and walks • Short-term or occasional care I’ve worked with pets who are reactive, anxious, on meds, or just need a little extra patience. I’ve also been the go-to sitter for everything from cats with attitude to senior dogs with complex routines. I treat every home and animal like my own — with care, consistency, and respect. Tabor, my sweet family dog, won’t be tagging along unless invited, but he’s why I do this. He taught me how much love and attention animals really need — and deserve. Let’s chat if you’re looking for someone kind, experienced, and reliable. Because I work remotely and make my own schedule, I have the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my day. Whether it’s morning walks, mid-day visits, or overnight stays, I can be fully present and consistent — no rushing between commitments or leaving pets alone for long stretches. I genuinely enjoy the quiet companionship animals bring, so spending time with them is never a chore — it’s something I look forward to. Whether I’m staying in your home or stopping by throughout the day, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and cared for the entire time you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping things as close to their usual routine as possible. That means sticking to feeding schedules, walk times, medication if needed, and any specific instructions you provide — all while giving them plenty of love, attention, and calm energy. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and communicative, so you’ll always know how things are going while you’re away. For drop-ins or walks, I make sure each visit is intentional — not rushed. I give pets time to settle, play, get their energy out (or just relax), and always check on their water, food, and general well-being. If I’m doing overnight care, I work remotely from your home, so your pets get lots of company and consistency throughout the day — not just in the mornings and evenings. No matter the service, your pet’s comfort and safety come first.

Medical Center dog parents share their Rover experiences
Amazing! Raven is so sweet and flexible. She sent over great pictures at the end of the visit. Definitely will use her again!

We needed some help with our pup so we could go to a Tigers game. Lauren was fantastic … shared pictures throughout visit and we came back to a happy dog. Oh, and she’s in a great location. 10 out of 10.

Liz was absolutely fantastic! So communicative and kind. She took the best care of my dog, Tilly, when I was visiting from out of town. I would 100% book with Liz again.

Karen was absolutely AMAZING!! I’ll have to admit I am very picky about who I trust to watch our dogs but when we found ourselves in need of a day sitter while on a trip we found Karen. I had never used Rover before and I was quite nervous to leave them with a stranger. Within minutes Karen had eased all of my concerns. Upon arrival she knew the girls names and commented on things she had read on their profiles. She was very observant while watching our dogs explore her apartment to see how they were going to do when we left. She also provided feedback and photos during their time with her. She was also very welcoming of my husband and I and very flexible working around our day. We would absolutely book again with Karen without hesitation.

Rafael was amazing with my dog. He took care of him with ease. Rafael also took my dog for walks which was great exercise. Right before picking my dog up. Rafael made sure to take Columbus out so that he can be comfortable on the drive back home. Rafael would constantly update me with what's going on and would also snap pics of my dog enjoying. Thanks again hermano! Gracias para todos

Allesha is awesome. She is reliable and an excellent communicator, consistently sharing pictures and videos, even when she had our dog for only one day. He loves going to her house!

I needed someone who could watch my dog on very short notice, and Whitney and Samuel were super flexible and helpful! Malcolm left happy and ready for a nap (which is always how you know they had a great time!). Would definitely recommend.

He was flexible and understanding. Took great care of Digger. I would definitely recommend him and use his services again.

Joe was a fantastic sitter! We appreciated his flexibility, kindness, and care for our pup. We look forward to booking with him again.

My pet Ira (10-month-old Vizsla) is a repeat customer through rover. and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, Diana was incredibly responsive and attentive to my pet's needs. Ira took the time to understand my dog's routine and preferences, ensuring Ira felt comfortable and secure. During every stay, Diana provided regular updates and adorable photos, which put my mind at ease. My dog came back happy and well-exercised, clearly enjoying the time spent with Diana I highly recommend Diana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet caregiver. I will definitely continue booking with Diana in the future!.
