“Our two dogs had a great time over our 3 days of daycare. Joe and Madeleine are great people and obvious dog lovers! Romeo and Sadie can’t wait to go back next time we’re in town!”

“Pallavi was fantastic! She took great care of our puppy. She understood the needs of the puppy by discussing the requirements ahead of time, clearly explained the plan on how she plans to handle the puppy and provided regular updates on the status. I would recommend her anyone looking for a pet loving, professional pet caretaker.”

“Deepika took very good care of Chili. She was lovely and calm in her interactions with Chili and myself. I was very appreciative of Deepika’s very timely response to my last minute request for an initial booking. She provided updates and pics and responded promptly to my queries throughout the day. Chili obviously had a great day with Deepika and her King Charles Spaniel. She expressed how much she liked Chili and that she would like to host her again. Chili will definitely be visiting Deepika again. Thank you Deepika!”

“Jessica is amazing with our new puppy! She was able to accommodate us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She walked him, fed him, played with him, and even introduced him to other little puppies so he could socialize. She greeted me warmly and treated both of us with such kindness. Our pup came home happy and tired from all the fun. We will definitely be coming back!”

About: I've owned dogs for the past 20 years, first an Australian Shephard, then a yellow Lab. I've also cared for the dogs of friends and family. After the death of my most recent guy, Petey, I decided that I want the companionship of dogs without the vet bills$ I'm now retired from teaching and have all the time in the world to sit, transport and care for dogs. I can accept dogs during the day or night, 7 days a week. Your dogs will be in an open setting in my home. I have a fenced yard so they can play. I live near a park and a riverfront, so long walks can be taken through natural settings, depending on my own ability to walk. I accept only one or two dogs at a time, depending on the personality and behaviour of the dogs. I have a van that can transport dog to wherever they need to go.

“Karen was a great help with Luna when I unexpectedly had to leave the dog home alone for a VERY long day. She came over to give her cuddle and pee breaks and a trip to Barkside, Luna’s home away from home. 💕 Even went the extra mile to clean up a little dog mess. Thanks!!!!!”

About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.

About: Back again and ready to care for your pups like family! 🐾 I’ve had my own dog for 9 years—he’s off-leash trained, never needed a crate, and truly part of our home. I’m a lifelong dog lover, and now my 3-year-old daughter is following in my footsteps—she’s gentle, kind, and absolutely obsessed with dogs! At 29, I run my own business and keep a calm, organized home, perfect for pups who need love, attention, and a safe space to relax or play. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, or playtime, your dog will be treated like one of our own. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Dog care fits perfectly into my weekly routine! I work from home and run my own business, which means I have the flexibility to create my schedule around your pup’s needs—especially during the day. I’m a single mom, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, my daughter is with her dad, giving me extra time and quiet space to dedicate to dog care. While I’m usually busier on evenings and weekends, I’m super organized and manage my time well—so there’s always room for a four-legged guest! Whether it’s midweek cuddles, walks, or daytime hangs, I’ve got the time, love, and energy to give your dog a cozy home away from home. Safety and comfort are top priorities in my home. I have a fully fenced-in yard, giving dogs a secure space to play and explore freely. For pups who need a little extra caution, I also have an extended leash option—so they can still enjoy the outdoors without worry. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and attentiveness I give my own. Whether they’re energetic or more reserved, I know how to tune in to their needs and make them feel safe, seen, and cared for. My home is a calm, dog-friendly space where your pup will feel right at home. 🐾

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life and truly see it as second nature. Whether it’s a wiggly puppy with endless energy or a senior pup who needs gentle love and patience, I’ve been there for it all. Rover allows me to step into my favorite role—the fun, reliable auntie—who makes sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m very active and love including pups on walks, park trips, and light adventures if they’re up for it. At the same time, I know the value of slowing down, snuggling, and giving extra attentive care when they just want comfort. From the tiniest 10-pound lap dogs to big 100-pound gentle giants, I adapt my care to fit each unique personality. Above all, I’m nurturing, responsible, and attentive—so you can feel at ease knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I’m an early riser, so morning walks and breakfast snuggles are part of my natural rhythm. Working from home in the heart of Detroit allows me to give consistent attention and plenty of potty breaks throughout the day. With the Riverwalk and several dog parks just steps away, daily exercise and fresh air fit seamlessly into my schedule. Whether your pup thrives on playful park trips or prefers cozy cuddle breaks, caring for dogs blends beautifully into my routine—I truly enjoy making them part of my day. I go above standard care by creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where pups feel endlessly loved. Whether I’m in your home or welcoming your dog into mine, I’m attentive, responsible, and tuned into their unique needs—because every furry friend deserves to feel safe, happy, and right at home.

About: Hello! My name is Annie. I love animals so much, especially dogs. I travel for work as a flight attendant so I am unable to care for an animal full time by myself unfortunately. That being said, I would love to help you take care of your animals when needed! Throughout my life I have had many cats, dogs, and other animals. I've been walking and helping take care of dogs as a paid service for a few months now and I absolutely love it! I'm typically available most weekdays. However, occasionally on a Thursday or Friday I have to work my other job flying around the world. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I am looking forward to helping you out with your fur children :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 18 years old. I’m a dog lover with a dog myself so I think I’m perfect for the job! I’m available all the time. I do work part time and I sometimes go out of town but otherwise I am free when you need me! I live in an apartment with a lot of grass area and multiple dog parks! I also have a dog bed for the puppies that stay!

About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past and I have access to a dog bathing suite for $15 for the use and $25 per dog. Blow drying those furry friends coats out! :) I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

“Awesome! He really helped me out when I was in a bind. Great with communication, following care instructions, and just being patient with my puppy. I will be sending Otis back to him when I need his help.”

Alyssa L.
“We had to travel for a few nights some time ago and were nervous leaving our two pups—one senior & one still in his puppy stage at 2. She stayed at our home, kept everything spotless, and cared for them like they were her own. Our house felt exactly as we left it, and our dogs barely noticed we were gone! We’ve welcomed Alyssa to watch our two boys several times since & she has become our go-to & we recommend her to anyone looking for a trusting & reliable person to provide a peace of mind with our pups when we're away!”

Annie J.
“Annie is a dedicated and responsible pet-owner. She has always taken very good care of her animals and clearly has a lot of love for them, as they do for her. Annie has spent a lot of time with dogs in particular, and I have no doubt that any dogs left in her care would be happy and well cared for.”

Medical Center dog parents share their Rover experiences
It was my first time using the app. I was in Detroit and was nervous about leaving my furry baby with someone I didn't know, but I'm so happy it was Michael. He replied to my messages to check on her and was super nice. He took her for a long walk, which I'm sure she loved, and when I went to get her, I could tell she was well taken care of because she was calm and worn out. Thanks a lot, Michael.

Deepika took very good care of Chili. Thank you Deepika!

Karen was absolutely AMAZING!! I’ll have to admit I am very picky about who I trust to watch our dogs but when we found ourselves in need of a day sitter while on a trip we found Karen. I had never used Rover before and I was quite nervous to leave them with a stranger. Within minutes Karen had eased all of my concerns. Upon arrival she knew the girls names and commented on things she had read on their profiles. She was very observant while watching our dogs explore her apartment to see how they were going to do when we left. She also provided feedback and photos during their time with her. She was also very welcoming of my husband and I and very flexible working around our day. We would absolutely book again with Karen without hesitation.

Rafael was amazing with my dog. He took care of him with ease. Rafael also took my dog for walks which was great exercise. Right before picking my dog up. Rafael made sure to take Columbus out so that he can be comfortable on the drive back home. Rafael would constantly update me with what's going on and would also snap pics of my dog enjoying. Thanks again hermano! Gracias para todos
