“Lyla did a great job: she was willing to come meet the pups beforehand, showed up on time to house/dog sit, sent photos and updates, and left the house and dogs clean and happy. We hope to use Lyla for future dog care needs and highly recommend her to others.”

“This is the third or fourth time Paul has sat for our dog and we always know she’s in great hands with him. Jan sends frequent video and photo updates so we feel connected. The house is immaculate when we return and even the house plants look like they’re in better shape after a week with Paul 😄”

“Nancy is the perfect person to care for my Sophie when I am out of town. Sophie is able to stay in her own environment and presents as a dog who has been well lived in my absence. Nancy is my number one go to when I have a need.”

“Chase did a great job sitting for us while we were out of town. We got plenty of updates and pictures throughout his stay with her, and she enjoyed her time. Definitely appreciate the after visit summary he provided.”

“Shelby was fantastic! We have booked with her before and will book with her again. She took great care of Minka (our old kitty) who has some health issues and needs medication. Minka usually gets stressed when we leave and Shelby was able to keep her happy, healthy, loved, and entertained. She sent us great pictures and kept our house clean and our garden watered. She was exactly what we needed, communicated well and understood all our instructions.”

“Salem took great care of all three of our animals over the holidays and kept us super up to date with how they were doing. He kept up with medication and training and left the house super tidy.”

“Anthea is the best! If you can book her, do it! She takes good care of the animals and house. This time she had to give meds to my senior kitty which isn’t easy or fun. She provides updates and always makes me know the kitties are safe and cared for!”

“Kaitlyn put my mind at ease while I was out for the day! I will definitely hire her again. I especially love that she sent me update pictures of the pups! We’ll see you next time, Kaitlyn! 🐶🐾🖤”

“Extremely appreciative and pleased with Ingrid's house sitting! She promptly responded to all messages, provided reassuring check-ins, and carefully looked after our neurotic (reactive) Mini Aussie.”

“Jessica is a true animal lover who puts so much care and attention into her work, treating your pets as if they were her own. She took care of my dog and two cats for almost a week while I was out of town and I got frequent updates and came home to very happy animals! It’s also clear in talking with her that she has a wide range of animal experience, not just dogs and cats. Highly recommend and grateful to have found someone who I know will take excellent care of my pets.”

“Caitlin stayed for an extended weekend with our 4 month old kitten and was absolutely amazing! I was nervous about leaving our boy for the first time and Caitlin made the whole process so comfortable and reassuring-she met him before we left, and provided a ton of detail about what to expect. It’s very clear that Caitlin is passionate about animals and is incredibly knowledgeable, she went out of her way to provide really helpful new food and litter recommendations and was willing to test things out for us under her care. She was very responsive and respectful of our requests and care for our home as well. 10/10, would absolutely recommend and rebook with Caitlin any time!”

“Amy was wonderful! She was attentive and made sure to give Bruno his medicine as scheduled. She sent photos and responded quickly to my inquiries. The house was immaculate when we returned home as well. Definitely recommend Amy.”

“Kylie did an amazing job watching my girls!! She took good care of them and provided me with updates whenever I wanted and checked in with me on her own (including sending photos). She left my house immaculate (especially being here 2 weeks) and she is incredibly kind and thoughtful! I highly recommend her for others looking for a pet sitter and will definitely request her when I need a pet sitter in the future!”

“We have worked with Francisca a few times and every time we were happy with the service we got. She comes at an EXCELLENT rate compared to other sitters, she responds with updates and isn't afraid to ask questions so she does it how we want it, and she respects our home/privacy/security/etc. We feel safe leaving our pups and our home in her care. The most recent sitting job we hired her for was suuuper last minute, too! She was very generous and moved things around to accommodate us. Definitely gonna ask her to pup sit for us again in the future.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for different families for about two years and have really enjoyed it. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are away, so I do my best to keep their routines consistent and give them plenty of attention, care, and affection. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after them, or just spending time with them, I treat every dog as if they were my own. Families have trusted me to care for their dogs, and I take that responsibility seriously. I do work part time, I work full 8 hour days on Thursdays and sometimes Fridays. The other days I work 5-6 hours. I’m usually off around 4:30 or 5 but my start times vary. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. I follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and any special care requirements. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while also respecting the client’s home and keeping it clean and secure. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they’re apart
“Roree was amazing! We have an epileptic dog who needs meds twice a day at specific times. Roree was on top of everything! She was with him almost 24/7 and gave him the best of care! She sent lots of photos daily and kept us up to date. Roree also took care of our house and everything was perfect when we returned. Highly recommended!!!”

“Sierra was perfect for my high-energy puppy. She completely understood how demanding a young dog can be, making sure he got plenty of exercise and playtime. The photo updates she sent were fantastic and so fun to receive. I came home to a spotless house and a very tired, happy dog. Highly, highly recommend her to anyone!”

This was our first time with Janeva and we couldn’t be any happier! She sent pics every day which made me feel like I was more “in touch”. We came home to happy dogs, a clean house and a sense of peace that all went well. We highly recommend Janeva for your home! We have an elderly dog who needed special attention to foods and a nervous one who seemed to settle in well. Thank you. Janeva!!

Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of our dogs! It was such a relief and peace of mind to know that they were in Sarah‘s excellent hands. It’s clear every time that she comes in the door to take care of them that they absolutely adore her. Nothing can make us happier! Thank you again.

Theresa took great care of our pups, and provided photos and update's during the stay. We appreciate that she made sure each dog was comfortable, while making sure all their needs were met. We will be using Theresa again for any future pet sitting needs.

She left my house immaculate (especially being here 2 weeks) and she is incredibly kind and thoughtful! Overall, it was a good experience with Leah and using Rover. Both animals were taken care of and had no issues when we returned. Some minor things that we noticed: Dog food was spilled on the floor in the closet we keep the food bin in that wasn't cleaned up and not enough attention was paid to which supplement treat was being given as Mac got more probiotics and not any joint supplement at some point due to opening and feeding from the wrong bag.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Meadow Glade walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Meadow Glade maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Meadow Glade choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meadow Glade. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
