About: I have been a dog owner for nearly my entire adult life. I have also cared for my friends dogs for all of those years, often for 1-2 weeks at a time so they can go away on holiday and know that their fur babies are cared for as they would care for them. I have worked all these years with lots of training into my dogs, from basic to advanced as well as separation anxiety. I currently have a senior dog and a 1.5yr old pup so my home is equipped for tiring out a younger dog as well as enrichment or special needs (ramps stairs etc for the older generation). It is super important to me that your dog keeps their routine to the best of my ability. I want to meet them where they are at! I also really focus on body language so as to try and best connect with your pup!! I work from home and have occasional meetings but I try not to be out of the home for more than 2hrs at most and that is a rarity. I am an early riser to ensure pups get quality time before work, also have a side yard to allow for lots of potty breaks during the day between walks and work. Even with my own pups, that know each other well, they are fed in separate areas so they can eat with confidence, so I would ensure your pup is also in their own space. I respect their boundaries and have baby gates that allow for separation if someone just needs their own downtime.
