“We had the BEST experience with Daniela and her family! 🥰 She sent us plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We really appreciated the friendly vibes, great communication, and most of all, how loved and well cared for our baby was. ❤️ Definitely the best experience we’ve had on Rover! We would absolutely book with Daniela again! 🐾✨”

About: Hi, My name is Mia. I have about ten years of experience working with animals from animal shelters to vet clinics. I have experience fostering over fifty pets, including bottle babies and pets with special needs. I currently work as a legal assistant. M-F 10:00-5:00. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BOOK WITH ENOUGH TIME FOR A MEET & GREET TO BE SCHEDULED PRIOR TO MY FIRST VISIT. This is for my safety and the safety of your pets. I am always open to negotiation, but please keep in mind this helps pay my bills. I do have my own dog, but if your dog needs to stay overnight in my home, they will be kept separate. I am very responsible and would love to meet you and your fur babies. If you have any questions, please ask me :) Can’t wait to meet you. I work 10-5, but I work from home. Visits before and after are easy when in Elgin or nearby. If I pet sit at home, I will keep separate from my pet. It depends on what is needed, per the pets needs. I am happy to stop by, clean up, let them out and feed during visits.
“Raquel was the perfect pet sitter! She was very friendly and accommodating. I received plenty of photo and video updates during my puppy’s stay and she looked like she was having a great time. I especially appreciated her sending many pictures of her interacting with my puppy, I know she received plenty of attention during her stay. I would highly recommend this pet sitter!”
“Amanda is an amazing dog sitter that I highly, highly recommend. She is not only responsive, prompt and flexible, but she is also kind and loving. Truly authentic and has a heart of gold. My husky/german sheppard mix Ghost has not only been taken care of while at her house, but he has been truly loved and cared for. I can’t recommend Amanda enough for any pet service you may be looking for.”

About: Hi, I’m Gracie, a devoted dog mom and passionate animal lover who believes pets deserve the same love and attention as humans. Although I didn’t grow up with animals, my love for them has grown immensely over the past few years. My journey began when I adopted my Yorkie, Mocha—a energetic, sweet little companion who changed everything. Caring for Mocha over the last year and a half has taught me responsibility, patience, and the daily joy that pets bring. My love for animals didn’t stop at home. I started volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering dogs and cats of all kinds. Through fostering, I’ve cared for animals ranging from 1-day emergency placements to 2-week stays, providing love, structure, and comfort while they wait for their forever homes. This experience has helped me build confidence with different breeds and personalities—shy pets, energetic ones, and everything in between.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through both owning my own dogs and providing boarding for other families’ pets. Caring for dogs has been a meaningful part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I have experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with feeding, daily walks, playtime, crate routines, basic grooming, administering oral medication, and caring for senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. Because I care for only one to three dogs at a time, I can provide personalized attention in a calm, low-stress environment. My home has a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, exercise, and relax under close supervision. I understand that every owner wants to know their pet is happy and safe. That’s why I provide regular photo and video updates throughout each stay and follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible to help them feel at home. My goal is to give every dog a safe, loving, and comfortable experience while giving their family complete peace of mind. Welcome! I’m a dedicated dog lover who provides a safe, comfortable, and loving home where your dog will be treated like family. I live in a single-family home with a fully fenced backyard, giving dogs plenty of room to play, explore, and enjoy fresh air in a secure environment. Because I spend most of my time at home, your dog will receive lots of attention, supervision, companionship, and affection throughout the day. I intentionally accept only one to three dogs at a time so every guest receives personalized care instead of being part of a large group. I understand that every dog has different needs. Whether your pup is energetic, shy, a senior dog, or requires medication, I’ll carefully follow your instructions and maintain their regular routine. My goal is to make your dog feel relaxed, happy, and loved while you’re away. You’ll never have to wonder how your dog is doing. I’ll send multiple photo and video updates every day so you can enjoy your trip with complete peace of mind, knowing your best friend is having a wonderful time. For your convenience, I also offer pick-up and drop-off services. I speak both English and Mandarin Chinese, making communication easy for both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking families. Your dog’s safety always comes first. I provide a clean, calm, smoke-free, pet-friendly home where every dog is cared for with patience, kindness, and respect. I truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their families, and I look forward to welcoming your furry friend into my home. Thank you for considering me. I can’t wait to meet you and your beloved companion! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my highest priorities. I live in a clean, smoke-free single-family home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play under my supervision. I never leave dogs unattended outside, and I make sure they have a secure, comfortable indoor space to rest and relax. I only accept a small number of dogs at a time so I can provide each pet with plenty of individual attention and closely monitor their behavior. I carefully follow each owner’s feeding schedule, exercise routine, medication instructions, and any special care requests to help pets feel comfortable and maintain their normal routine. Before introducing dogs to one another, I consider their personalities and comfort levels to ensure a safe and positive experience. If needed, I can keep dogs separated to reduce stress and provide one-on-one care. Throughout your pet’s stay, I’ll send regular photo and video updates so you always know how they’re doing. If I notice any changes in your pet’s behavior or health, I’ll contact you immediately and follow your instructions. If an emergency ever occurs, I will seek veterinary care right away and keep you informed every step of the way. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where every pet feels at home and every owner feels confident and reassured.
“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Hope! Booking last-minute was stressful, but she was so understanding and flexible with our schedule. Not only did she accommodate our late pick-up, but she also went above and beyond by sending us regular updates and adorable photos, which truly put our minds at ease. Her communication was exceptional, and it was clear that our dog was in the best hands. Whiskey came back happy and relaxed, and we couldn’t ask for more. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible dog sitter!”

“Some of the best doggie sitters out there! Our older little Paco has had a wonderful experience staying with Radha and Bart. Very professional and super attentive! Lovely people who sincerely look after our dog, and send lots of pictures and updates, which we appreciate so much. Highly recommended!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,908 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across McDade. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your McDade commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,908 sitters in McDade, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
