“I wanted to wait to review after a few visits with Gracie, but she is great with my puppy! She always greets her with excited energy! You can really tell she loves dogs! I most importantly love how great she’s been with my last minute requests! She’s amazingly helpful! Thank you!! Will be requesting Gracie from now on!”

About: I have been a dog mama for over 15 years to 2 of the best girls. Both have passed now and while we would love to add another fur baby to our family, we are taking a break while raising our two tiny humans! Our most recent fur baby just passed 2 months ago, and we are looking to love on your sweet babies to bring some of that joy back into our home! We are very familiar with special skin care, medication, special diet needs, and separation anxiety! I'm a stay at home mom, so they will have lots of play and attention, walks around the neighborhood, especially to the local duck pond, as well as plenty of potty breaks in our big backyard! I'm a stay at home mom, so I'm available all day to take your fur babies for walks, let out for potty breaks, and get lots of play and attention! I have two kiddos who love dogs and love to play! I also have a good sized fenced in yard for running and potty breaks! I can provide a kennel if needed! My home is peaceful, and fully outfitted with security!
About: I have my own dog Zoe who I currently care for. She was potty trained, crate trained, and house trained starting at 8 weeks. I’m free all day for your pets needs. I have open availability through the week. I’m free to care for and entertain your pet through out the day. My dog Zoe would love to have a play date with your dog. I have a fenced in yard and a big neighborhood that will allow your dog to get fresh air and nice walks. My neighborhood dog park is also just right down the street from my house. I have a medium sized crate that is available for your pets use while staying.
About: We both grew up with dogs of various sizes and love all animals. We have over 13 years of experience with caring for our own dogs, one of which has allergies and anxiety and requires routine medications. We will treat and love your dog as our own! Because of my WFH schedule, I have lots of flexibility to provide potty breaks, play with, and walk your pup throughout the day! I will stick to their routine and provide pictures and updates during their stay. We have a spacious home with a fenced backyard and a sweet 8 year-old dog, Rylee, who loves other dogs. We have used Rover for over four years, so we understand how important it is to find a sitter you can trust to love and care for your fur baby like you do. We are responsible pet parents who prioritize their comfort, safety, and needs. **Please note: we require a meet and greet prior to all new client bookings to ensure the dogs get along and to answer any questions you may have.
About: Hi, My name is Mia. I have about ten years of experience working with animals from animal shelters to vet clinics. I have experience fostering over fifty pets, including bottle babies and pets with special needs. I currently work as a legal assistant. M-F 10:00-5:00. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BOOK WITH ENOUGH TIME FOR A MEET & GREET TO BE SCHEDULED PRIOR TO MY FIRST VISIT. This is for my safety and the safety of your pets. I am always open to negotiation, but please keep in mind this helps pay my bills. I do have my own dog, but if your dog needs to stay overnight in my home, they will be kept separate. I am very responsible and would love to meet you and your fur babies. If you have any questions, please ask me :) Can’t wait to meet you. I work 10-5, but I work from home. Visits before and after are easy when in Elgin or nearby. If I pet sit at home, I will keep separate from my pet. It depends on what is needed, per the pets needs. I am happy to stop by, clean up, let them out and feed during visits.
“Some of the best doggie sitters out there! Our older little Paco has had a wonderful experience staying with Radha and Bart. Very professional and super attentive! Lovely people who sincerely look after our dog, and send lots of pictures and updates, which we appreciate so much. Highly recommended!!”

“Chadwick was great with Bella! Bella can be a little nervous in new situations but Chadwick got her to be comfortable and settled in. He was very communicative and took lots of pictures which made us comfortable as well. We’ve had 1 play date so far and are looking forward to many more!”

About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since college and have had my dog Bambi for 4 years now! I’ve taken care of puppies and old age bubs and am happy to follow whatever routine you have for your dog. I work from home full time so am always around and my pup loves the company of other dogs :) my apartment has a dog park that we frequent! Please feel free to reach out with any other questions, I’m happy to answer and willing to do meet and greets! I work from home full time and don’t step out of the home for more that 4 hours at a time to make sure I can walk my dog. I have a very friendly dog at home who likes to play sometimes but can also take a hint if your dog wants to be left alone! I have space for a crate if needed and also have an extra small crate at home.
“Baguette has only been with Linda a couple of days but I can already tell how much she loves it there. I’ve never seen her come home so happy and relaxed! Linda gives her so much love, attention, and playtime and I feel 100% at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. It means the world to know my lil baby is safe, cared for, and having fun while I’m at work. We’re so lucky to have found her! 💕🐾”

“Stephanie was awesome. Sent pictures which meant so much with great comments. We will definitely call upon her again. Her dog Bailey and ours got along great. Bailey is such a sweet dog. Highly recommend Stephanie! ??”

“I was very happy and satisfied with the service I received from Alonso and his wife Eva. They treated my dog Charlie with compassion and affection and truly cared for him like he was part of their family. It gave me great peace of mind knowing Charlie was in such kind and attentive hands. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you both so much! If I ever need doggie daycare again, I will definitely use your services.”

“I have an energetic puppy dog and Brenda has been great in helping him learn to stay calm around and older, smaller dog. Everyday that I come to pick him up, he's in a great mood and she even sends me pictures of him throughout the day of him playing and having a good time in the backyard and sleeping in his puppy bed. I couldn't ask for a more responsible individual to care for my puppy. 10 out of 10, would book again!”

About: I just lost my cat and I would love to have some company without the commitment! I've pet sat professionally for years back in NJ with Kate's Canine Care. I'm a homebody and have nothing much going on this summer. I currently am a sales manager at SEV Laser downtown and this is a great way for me to make some extra income. I have an incredibly flexible schedule and work my own hours. I'm available for boarding or house sitting. Short weekends away or long vacations I'm your girl! My apartment complex has a lovely dog park right outside my building. I love when pets sleep with me (if that's okay with their owners) and cuddle with me. I'm very calm and organized. I will follow specific directions with ease

Kerri and the family were amazing! She took in my Chloe and embraced her with so much love. Chloe is not as ginormous as Vegas, but Chloe warmed up and was good! Thank you so much Kerri for being kind and gentle with Chloe! I definitely recommend….hands down! God bless!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Littig commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
