“Samantha & her family cared for Rosie so well, like she was part of the family! Rosie has a lot of energy and their family and their own dog have Rosie so much attention and opportunity to play! They were so kind and great with communication and flexibility. Rosie will miss her puppy friend Jetta and their family! Would definitely recommend:)”

“They took great care of our dogs. We got updates and pictures regularly. Overall, this family was really nice and seemed to enjoy our dogs being around.”

“Our pup had a great time with Molly! She was warm and inviting from the first meetup. Very quick to respond and easy to schedule. Flexible with our travel schedule. Her place was neat with lots of space for doggies. We would book with her again.”

“Gail took care of my baby like it was her own. She sent pictures and added comments to make me feel close to my dog while I was away. Gail is very professional and adept in her care and love of pets. Paws 🐾 up!!”

About: Dogs have been part of my household since childhood both as a member of our family and as a responsibility. I am familiar with puppy energy, older dog needs, and the social interaction that your furry fam requires and their individual personalities that require a unique individual approach. I am experienced with dog walking, pet sitting, visitations and transport and social time/outtings. I have traveled with pets, and know how important routines and frequent checkups are for their social and mental well-being! I have currently full availability. Dog sitting for an extended period? Absolutely not a problem. I am able to do check-ins during certain times, or if you just want them to have a bathroom break every few hours or so I’m fine with that. I am alright to do some travel for small to mid/large dogs, if they need some park time, or even if you are looking to have them taken somewhere and can’t swing by home to grab them! Currently have no pets (they had to stay back home with parents 😢) and willing to take a small animal for a weekender stay in my apartment if they have a kennel. In the event that I do I can only take them for a weekend due to apartment style living not being as suitable for a dog. However while they are here, I am able to walk them quite a bit in this area; Heights has great walkability. Most of my care would be for you at your home, walking, sitting, pickup, etc. If they like to grab treats, interact with people, etc. I can find an arrangement either you that works best for your pet. I have friends nearby who have had rescues, elderly pets, and love animals, so they would love to meet and greet and give your animal some love and plenty of attention
About: I've cared for animals since I was a preteen, having my own dog since 2013—well versed in all things dog, and I live less than five minutes from the nearest 24-hour emergency vet clinic. My pets are my life! I have a cat (10 lbs, female) and a dog (small terrier, 15 lbs, female) who are both spayed and socialized with other animals. The dog, Chanel, is especially fond of other dogs who are friendly, regardless of size. My cat's name is Ellie, a domestic shorthair, and she mostly stays away when there's another dog over. I have fostered dogs and kittens with local rescue groups as well as Little Rock Animal Village (LRAV). I am also a registered volunteer with LRAV. I'm currently working from home for the most part, other than going to a client meeting sometimes. I have cameras throughout the downstairs, where the animals will stay if I am gone. However, I spend quite a lot of time at home, which places me in a great position to be available to care for my pets and any guests I'm caring for, be it a foster, overnight or a board. I have a fenced-in yard, can go outside with the dogs, and I have a neighborhood that's walkable if that's a needed service. If I'm caring in a client's home, I go by their instructions and do not mind being flexible and keeping lines of communication open. I know pet anxiety, and sometimes we just want a little pic of our babies before bed. :)
“Rebecca and her family were very welcoming, friendly and keep me updated with pictures of my dog's stay. Rebecca made me feel really comfortable and I would definitely book another stay. Thank you so much! 😁”

“Super sweet, communicative and caring! Azalea was so good at keeping up with messaging update photos while I was in my trip. And super understanding when I didn’t have exact dates for my trip! Definitely recommend”

“This woman was a absolute gem of a sitter! Went above and beyond for my two huskies ! A much needed vacation was on the horizon, and I had no one to watch my beautiful pups. And she came through and gave them a awesome experience, I strongly suggest booking Joanne for your sitting needs!”

“Ruth enjoyed her time with Courtney and Shadow. They all got along very well, and Ruth’s stay allowed her to socialize and take a break from her normal routine. Courtney helped me to not worry about Ruth or how things were going by sharing videos and keeping me updated on how she was getting along.”

“Thomas took care of our 10 month old pup who was in need of socialization for Labor Day weekend. He and his family have great energy and their house is full of love. Thomas was attentive and communicative, gave Mo a great environment to meet other dogs, and sent a ton of videos and pics. A great experience.”

“Mandy took care of our mini Goldendoodle over the weekend and she was amazing! She offered to set up a meet and greet, and then during the stay she sent lots of updates and pictures that made us feel so much better! You can just tell how much she loves pets and how much attention and love they get while staying with her! We will for sure be using her again.”

“Dominique was a fabulous and very responsive host! We can definitely tell our baby enjoyed his time and was well cared for! We will definitely trust Dominique again when we’re in town!”

“I was so happy to meet Joe and his girl Ace. Ginger seem at home. What was an even bigger relief was that Newt wasn't in hiding. We received a picture of Newt and Ace very casually in each other presence. Thank you Joe for taking care of our babies.”

“I had never gotten anyone to watch our dog, Bonni, before (other than family) & so I was a little worried, but she did great with Scout and her family! Scout let us come out to her place ahead of time so Bonni could meet her and see where she would stay. Overall, communication was great, she kept me updated on how Bonni was doing with pictures, and I would 100% feel comfortable having her watch Bonni again!”

“Could not wish for a better sitter for my babies!!!! This is our second time with Hannah and I can’t say enough great things about the experiences. She takes care of my dogs as if they were her own. She’s amazing to send pics and videos as well. Highly, highly recommend!!!!!!”

“Once again Leisha & Elijah and the family took excellent care of our dogs while we were away! We came home to two very content pups. I even had to convince one to come to the car with me! Highly recommend!”

About: Not only have I volunteered with local rescue groups, but I also hold a Master's in Applied Psychology. I have studied animal behaviorism and can provide basic training based on force-free techniques using the principles of Classical and Operant Conditioning. I have a very flexible schedule and can work around your pets' needs, 7 days a week. In hotter months, I can walk dogs during the coolest time of day. I prefer caring for larger dogs in the client's home. Smaller dogs can be brought to my home. I have a large, securely fenced backyard, with a doggie door to access the yard as often as wanted. Your dogs can be crated if that's what they're used to or have free roam in the house. I'm flexible and want to do whatever makes your pets most comfortable.
“Angela and Amber were great!! Honey had the best time at the Poodle Palace! They were so welcoming during the meet and greet and made sure all of my questions about the stay were answered. Throughout the stay, they kept me updated with how Honey was doing with pics and videos. They’ll make sure your pup feels right at home. I highly recommend the poodle palace for your boarding needs! Thank you sm y’all!! :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
