About: Although I am relatively new to dogs compared to cats, I loved their companionship when I was volunteering during college and while pet-sitting for friends. I'm an owner of a XL breed, but have a history of caring for dogs as small as Pomerians and Chihauhaus. I am used to miles of walks (but also in handling medicine, poop scooping, and basic training as I've been doing pet care). I am more than comfortable with walks, check ins, and outings! Whatever is needed! I'm a teacher and have a typical school schedule. My schedule has plenty of downtime in the early mornings and after 3PM to allow for walks and check-ins. I am used to a 5 or 6am walk, but that means I get the late-night zoomies out about 8PM on weekdays. My weekends are dedicateded to my animals anyways, so there is always room for more on hikes or time to be given to check-ins. I would not feel comfortable using my home in most circumstances. Although I have a dog who is crate-trained and loves for animals to join her in our backyard, I have a cat that can be stressed with new additions. I do not want your pet to feel uncomfortable through that, so I will not be offering those services unless I have a better relationship with the animal(s). As for clients' homes, I have been trustworthy with keycodes and keys at the owner's discretion. Updates and pictures are no brainers, as is walks up to 2.5 miles. I have experience giving medicine orally and topically, but not through shots if your pet requires it. I am open to learning though! All in all, I want to keep your pet(s) on a schedule as much as possible, so I'll match whatever is needed.
