“Lauren is awesome with my dogs. Shes always very sweet to them and notifies me if their tummies are upset. She even helped clean up a mess so I wouldn't step in it when I got home. Her and her family have been such a great help. I can't say enough positive things.”

About: I am a dog and cat person. Mine are always spoiled and treated like they’re my children. I would treat yours with love and kindness too. I currently don’t have any dogs but have had different breeds over the years. I am a special education teacher, so special needs dogs I have a soft spot for and do have experience with. I have a 11 year old cat but he is gated off in his own section of the house. If your dog likes the couch, bed, music, tv, I can accommodate. I can also work with other special needs. So far this has been a blast getting to know your dogs. My repeat customers have become furry family members. They become very comfortable in my home very quickly. Please read the reviews. I am your dog's home away from home. Give me a call and let's see what I can do for you. Thank you. Starting August 12, 2024 I will be going back to school teaching. At that time I do not wish to take on new clients. My regular clients can still use me, but know that no one will be home from 8-3 during the week. I do not have a fenced yard at this time but will walk your dog leashed in my yard or neighborhood. Will provide playtime and comfort.
“Always super grateful for Letty. She is wonderfully attentive to Peaches and gives great updates about the walks. Peaches is always super happy when she comes over. Thank you thank you! 100% recommend”

“Sally is a life saver. I had a last minute function and she was able to take Yeti for a walk in below freezing temperatures!!! I have used her before and will continue to as needed.”

“Gemma was terrific. She arrived right on time as we had arranged. She interacted with my dog in a positive friendly manner so I felt comfortable letting him go with her. She sent a picture while on the walk and let me know when she was heading back. Toby got a good walk with plenty of sniffing. I would definitely recommend Gemma to other pet owners. I believe she is reliable and capable.”

“Maggie and Travis are AMAZING! I’m a brand new dog owner and they have been great at helping me with Cooper. They walk him 4 days a week and provide details about his walk. I highly recommend them!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Krystal, and I’ve been providing in-home pet care for over 13 years. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and multi-pet households, including senior pets and those requiring medication or more structured routines. After caring for my own senior dogs, I understand how important it is to know your pets are in safe, capable hands while you’re away. I aim to provide dependable, in-home care that keeps your pets comfortable, calm, and cared for in their own environment. I’m also available for recurring weekday drop-ins for pets who benefit from consistency while their owners are at work. Pet care is my full-time focus, and I structure my days around the needs and routines of the pets in my care. I maintain a consistent daytime schedule for client visits, errands, and recurring drop-ins, similar to a standard workday. For house sitting, this means your pet may be alone for short periods during the day while I attend to other scheduled visits, but I plan my time to ensure they receive regular care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I also offer complimentary meet and greets in advance so we can connect, review your pet’s routine, and make sure it’s a good fit before your booking begins! I do not board pets in my own home at this time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine and environment to help reduce stress while you're away. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter care, playtime, and any preferences that help your pet feel comfortable. I also make sure they have access to their favorite toys, treats, and familiar comfort items throughout my visits or stay. For dogs, I’m happy to reinforce any training commands or routines owners are currently working on to help maintain consistency. My goal is to provide attentive, in-home care that helps your pet feel safe and secure in their own space until you return, whether through house sitting or drop-in visits!
About: I'm available to walk your dog, care for your cat, and simply provide love. I have cared for my personal animals for over 20 years and know how important our animals are to our daily lives. They provide people with the daily love and support needed and they are the face that greets you when you walk through the door each day. I'm currently working full time, but have the ability to walk after 4 each day, weekends multiple times per day, off on holidays, and flexible summers. I walk every day, so why not walk your dog or stop in to visit your cat! I raised a dog for 18 years who recently passed. In her late years, I was caring for all her needs. I also had two cats and managed the feeding and changing of the box
About: Hi! My name is Autumn and I currently go to UT. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats of my own and I grew up caring for many animals. My mom owned a dog kennel so I am comfortable with any breed, size, and temperament! I also can give medicine if that’s something that is needed. My friends and family rely on me to watch their animals when they go on vacation. I also know how to groom dogs since my mom was a professional dog groomer! I currently am a full time student hoping to go to Med School next year! I do have 2 other jobs as well as school so I will not be able to stay all day long as I do have to leave for work and school. My work hours can range from 4-8 hours per day. If your dog cannot be left alone for up to 8 hours, unfortunately, I am not sure that I will be the right fit for your needs. I am all about safety when it comes to watching other people’s animals. If we are going on a walk I will make sure their harness/collar is good so that they can not slip out. I would rather keep your pets in your home so they are more comfortable! I have endless cuddles to give! I do not let dogs meet other dogs on leash due to not knowing how they could react. If your dog does not seem happy to be around someone I will remove them from the situation.
“Jess was wonderful! Our dog is nervous with new people, but she took the time to get to know him and he is very comfortable with her. He was happy and relaxed after spending time with her and looked happy as a clam in all his walk photos:) She was very friendly, responsive, and great to talk to. We loved getting pics and updates from his walks. Jess will be our top choice next time and every time we are in Toledo!”

About: I was in my 40’s before I owned my own dogs. I fell in love 💕. I always had cats and still do. Now that I’m not working full time I want to help those with fur babies. I’m currently working part time after close to 30 years in banking. I want to keep active and what better way than helping others with their fur babies I’m flexible with the dogs needs. I do not have space in my home. I offer pet sitting and dog walking. I’m available overnight depending on week.

“I have a broken foot and cannot walk my senior dog Dusty. I was leery to hire someone I didn't know. Mark was amazing with Dusty !. He got right down on the floor to greet and play with him. He even coaxed Dusty to take a longer walk. I highly recommend him for his positive and eager approach to dogs.”

About: I would say what sets me apart is I’ve had special training incase of any type of emergency or mishap. I am a very forgiving person also. My schedule is fairy open so I have time to fit most a lot of things in. One of which is taking care of animals I most walk them at the park or play with animals in my house. My home can fit 1-2 dogs or 3 cats at a time

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
