“Kristin and her family did a wonderful job with our dog. He is often unsure of other animals but acclimated well to the household from what she said. He was very happy when we picked him up”

“We have used Gail for the past couple of years for all of our trips. She does great with my dog and keeps me updated through out the week. And she has never canceled on us which makes me feel confident when I book her so far in advance. Thanks for taking great care of Tiko!”

“Thank you Deanna and Maui for letting Remy hang out with you guys!! It’s so nice to not have to worry about how Remy is doing when we’re out of town! Deanna takes such good care of Remy and he has a blast playing with her dog too!”

“My senior pup just got home from a wonderful weekend with Patti! He had the best care and we received regular updates and photos. My dog has vision issues among other senior ailments and needs medication at meals. Patti was so patient and helped him navigate the new space, always making sure he was safe. We felt so comfortable with Igor in Patti’s care and look forward to him visiting her again!”

“Aricka and her husband were absolutely lovely! They took such incredible care of my dog and kept me informed on how she was doing. Highly recommend them and I know Bella will be excited to go back! ❤️”
“Doug was so thoughtful and kind with Milo — he truly enjoyed his stay at Doug’s home. I highly recommend him with my eyes closed! Very friendly and attentive, he always kept me updated about my puppy. Always willing to walk him and take care of him — thank you!!! Without a doubt, I’ll be reaching out again to leave my furry one with him!”

“Vicki is beyond amazing as a dog sitter. My lab has so much energy and the day he came home after a week with Vicki and her other dogs, he did nothing but sleep! While at the sitters he took great advantage of the dog friendly swimming pool and large yard. Vicki sent me pictures everyday and let me know what adventures my dog was experiencing. I highly recommend Vicki - she loves dogs!!! We will be a repeat customer ?”

About: I come from an animal-loving family and have either owned or looked after any personality a dog could possibly have! Big ones, small ones, needy ones, naughty ones, nervous ones, old ones, lazy ones, you name it! I pride myself on being “that person” that dogs naturally gravitate towards (it runs in the family). My family recently lost the last of our 3 dogs (our 15 year old Puggle), so I am equipped for even the old guys & gals too! Your dog will not just be cared for, they will be spoiled and loved on as my own. I know how hard it is to trust a stranger with your baby, and Ive got you! I'll do anything your dog (or YOU) requires to be more comfortable. Even if you want to FaceTime your dog while you’re away...I won’t judge :). I know boarding places can be scary and stressful for a lot of dogs, and my goal is to provide a reliable, safe, peaceful, fun, and loving environment while you are away. PLEASE READ :) Due to the fact that I have 2 small children, I cannot under any circumstances accept: -Dogs that have never been around children -Dogs that have any specific aggression (towards food, toys, other dogs, etc.) -Pit Bulls/Rottweilers. I realize this is controversial and maybe even unfair, and If I didn’t have small children this would not be an issue, but my kids come first and I have to be selective to protect them. Being that we are caring for dogs we have never met, I cannot take the risk for breeds that could possibly do extensively harmful damage to them in a worst case scenario situation. Again, I love all dogs/breeds and realize these breeds are normally the sweetest dogs, I am just mitigating any and all risk as a protective Mama. I am currently a stay-at-home Mom! I am home every day with the occasional runs to drop my son off at preschool, or attend my own appointments that come up/occasional errands. Although I am home most of the day, I cannot accept dogs that have separation anxiety, as I do have weekly errands/school drop offs/grocery pickups etc. that take me away from the home for a small amount of time. I live in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. I have a partially fenced in yard, but I would not be taking any dogs out without a leash. My back yard is hidden away from the main street and is great for taking dogs out. Rest assured they will have lots of potty breaks and sniffing outside breaks. We are pretty chill here! Once the weather warms up, walks are definitely in the daily schedule if wanted/needed... or just some sunbathing outside for the dogs who love a nap in the sunshine.
“This was our Winnie’s 2nd time staying with Rikki and her lovely family. Winnie is a very pampered pup, Rikki goes above and beyond to make Winnie comfortable, even letting her sleep with them 🥰. Thank you, Rikki!”

“Athena is so kind and so compassionate, my dogs loved their time wither her & her family. They loved their new friend Rufus❤️ communication was outstanding, lots of pictures. It was such a comfort knowing how well cared for and loved my boys were while I was away. They were part of her family ❤️❤️❤️”

“Our dogs have stayed with Melissa a few times now and they always have a wonderful time. They are very well cared for and Melissa does a great job of communicating with us daily to let us know how our babies are doing!”

“Alicia is wonderful with our dog. He loves going there. I am totally comfortable with him being there. Alicia was careful to make sure he was safe and felt good during the fireworks nearby. She is quick to reply and communicates with me daily. We definitely will continue to use her for dog sitting.”

Niah hasn't stayed with too many strangers but Theresa and her husband did such a great job making her feel comfortable and making sure she adjusted and keeping me updated! “Sherri was great!! Lots of communication and pictures while we were away, and from the looks of the pictures they had a great time. We will definitely book her again.”

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
