“Donna was so caring for my cat Mochi while I was gone. He is still young at 10 months and quite social, and has not done well in the past with drop-in visits alone so I asked Donna if she could house-sit for me while I was gone. She did such a lovely job taking care of Mochi and sending me photo updates - I knew he was well taken care of while I was gone. Thanks Donna!”

“Lindsey was great to work with. She took very good care of my cat while I was gone for a week, sent daily updates with photos, and my cat who is sometimes particular with people loved her. Would book again!”

“Great communication, wonderful care of our 2 cats while we were out of town. Sidney even picked up some extra food because I had miscounted the number of cans we needed. Thanks so much!”

About: I will make sure your animals needs are met and that they will get lots of attention and playtime. I'll send you pictures and updates of our adventures! Weekends I am available mostly any time and do have some flexibility during the week. I look forward to being a part of your pet's playtime or walks. I'll follow any detailed instructions you have for your dog or cat so that they remain on a schedule/routine they are used to and comfortable with.
About: I walked many different kinds of dogs at the Humane Society when I was in high school. I have done drop in visits for friends with small dogs and large dogs, as well as cats. I have watched friend's and neighbor's dogs in my home for up to a week at a time. 9 years ago I got my 2 month old black lab puppy and trained him in classes and at home. I'm currently not working a full-time job, so my time is very flexible for accepting walks and drop ins. I am based out of Sauk City but am happy to drive to Madison or surrounding areas to accommodate your needs. When dropping in to care for your pets when you are away, I greet your fur baby as if they were my own. I check around to make sure there isn't any pet mess that needs to be cleaned up. I check water levels and refill food as required. Next, I play with and love on your pet, whether it be going for a nice walk, or playing with a ball in the backyard, or just some inside snuggles. When it is time for me to leave, I make sure to leave the house clean and tidy. Last goodbyes to your pet and or crate them back up and carefully lock the door back up behind me.
About: I love all animals but have a soft spot for older dogs and cats that might need a little extra love and attention. I grew up with dogs but currently have a 5 year old cat who i adopted. I am a teacher who has much more free time in the summers. I am looking for afternoon/evening weekday jobs and anytime on the weekends. I will come to your home and make your fur baby feel comfortable in their own space. I can also take them for walks and/or play with them in your home.
About: I've taken care of animals all my life, and often prefer spending time with my dog over human company. I am available weekends and weekdays after 4 pm. I specialize in elderly dogs, and I am familiar with medication administration. Weekends are best. I am available to house-sit and care for pets at your home on the weekends. I also have availability on weekdays after 4 pm. If I care for your pet in my home, which is an apartment, we have plenty of walking trails and a dog park on our property.
“Evan did a great job with my two cats. Everything went smoothly, he arrived consistently at the same time. I enjoyed the photos of my cats and the updates on how they were doing. They definitely seemed to like him. Would book again!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life, and I can't imaging existing without them. Animals should be cherished, and I'm excited to share that love with your animals. In high school, I started working at an animal shelter, and it was one of my favorite jobs. I worked with cats, dogs, small animals (rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc), reptiles -- even a pig! Many of them came in angry or scared and I quickly learned the patience and gentleness needed to bond with this vulnerable group. I cultivated other skills as well, including providing enrichment, cleaning their spaces (including animals dealing with various illnesses), meeting dietary needs, grooming, and ensuring safety (animal-animal interactions, animal-person interactions, general safety). I've since moved on from that job, but I have been looking for ways to integrate animal care back into my life. I'd love to do drop in visits, whether thats because you work long hours or are out of town for work or vacation. I adore playing and snuggling with cats (or even just being in the same room as them - especially if theyre shy or a little fiesty with strangers). I'm comfortable walking dogs or letting them out in the yard to run around and play, cleaning up after pets, basic grooming, or just spending a few hours with them and providing enrichment. I am also comfortable with most animals and any age! If there are specific needs your (fur)baby has, I'm more than happy to accommodate. I work two jobs in mental health care, both with flexible hours that change week-to-week. I often have time between client visits or jobs, and am available on weekends. Overall availability ranges from 7am - 8pm. I can't do overnight stays or have other animals in my home, as it would be too stressful on my own cat. Between Oct. 1st and Nov. 15 or so, I will have more availability, since my jobs will be virtual while I recover from shoulder surgery. I dont anticipate having many issues with being able to care for animals during this recovery, and I can discuss this further with folks if need be.
