“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. I have a part time internship at UW Madison, so I have partially and completely free days every week. That being said, I will have plenty of time to make house visits around this schedule. I have experience training dogs and love hanging out with any breed of dog. I believe dogs need both mental and physical stimulation in order to be fulfilled.

About: For the past 8 years, I have been pet sitting for various friends, families, and neighbors. This has included taking care of dogs and cats, making sure their well-being is taken care of. I have experience walking dogs and making sure they are mentally stimulated throughout the day. I have also had experience with cleaning up any potential messes the pet might have made in absence of me or the owner. Currently, I work as a server while on summer break from college. My schedule at work is pretty flexible and I don't typically work whole days, so for the most part I am free on days I work except for 4-5 hours at the max. Whenever I watch an animal in another home, I always make a short sweep through the house wherever the animal has access to in order to ensure no messes were made.
