“Nihcole was excellent, easy to contact, very responsive to messaging and excellent with my two pups. Nihcole was easy to talk to and she took notes on the feeding routine. She was also very flexible when I needed to change a few things last minute. I throughly recommend Nihcole, we will definitely use her again when back in the area!”

“Leah and Edward were great treating walking my two senior pups. One gets very fearful and is partially blind and they were gentle and able to get her going on a walk. They communicated with me every step and sent photos. We Will definitely recommend and use them again!”

About: My soul dog lived until he was 15. Recently passed but I loved and cared for him for all those years. I am a teacher on summer vacation looking to make extra income while spending time with pet dogs. Available all day various times of the day No pets currently in my home as my 15 year old recently passed. My yard is fenced and safe. Large grassy area and have many local parks to go on walks or hikes
“Kayla was so great with our fur babies. She was so caring and loving with them. She sent us pics and a great little report every single visit. We would definitely use her again and recommend her to our friends. We were so comfortable on vacation knowing our fur babies were in great hands!”

About: I’ve retired from my role as Director of Student Housing at CSU, Bakersfield. I’m an active CrossFit coach with lots of flexible time - and I love dogs! I’ve cared for the animals of loved ones for over 20 years. I’ve also helped care for difficult to handle dogs (seniors, aggressive large breeds, small ornery breeds) and loved every minute of it❤️. I had my Maltese/yorkie boy Yanni 20 years before he passed a few years ago. I’ve also assisted in training rescued, often aggressive bully breeds. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats. So, I do not work with any cats or households that have a cat. I am a personal trainer and CrossFit coach for people over 50. I have a 17 year old daughter who loves all animals. I have flexibility, transportation, and time to give. We don’t have dogs of our own at this time. I have a fenced patio area, but I love to walk dogs. I am an attentive, responsible, loving caretaker who will happily take care of all your lovie’s need as you instruct. I can give medication and maintain any schedule or rules that you have at home. We don’t let dogs jump up on our furniture and we’ve found as long as they have a comfy spot they generally don’t protest.
About: I was born and raised from a dog lover household. I can’t remember a singular day we didn’t own a dog in our family. I currently have two dog sons, Oakley and Dez both pitbull mixed but I’ve owned from Rottweilers, yorkies, corgis and labradors! I can walk, feed, cuddle and play however you prefer. I know how important it is to keep them occupied while their owner is away and I’ll do absolute best to provide the same care! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. Whether you need a mid day stop by or a morning and night walk I can provide you with whatever you and your companion need. I can watch your pooches in the comfortable of their own environment. Or stop by whenever you need. Open to providing whatever you feel most comfortable with.
About: I have several years of experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether it’s walking energetic dogs, providing enrichment for curious cats, or giving gentle attention to senior pets, I focus on safety, consistency, and genuine affection. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, basic training, administering medications, and tailoring care to each pet’s unique personality — treating every animal as if they were my own Even with a busy school schedule, I plan pet care into my day to make sure no routine is ever missed. I’m reliable, punctual, and always confirm availability in advance. I treat every pet as if they’re my own, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and loved. I keep their space tidy, watch them closely, and stick to their familiar routines so they feel right at home.
About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. Cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you! Fear Free Leader in Animal Wellbeing graduate. *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.
About: There has never been a time in my life that I wasn’t taking care of dogs (and even a few wolves growing up)! My chihuahua-minpin mix Lo was an unplanned rescue (she was thrown out of a moving car in front of me) when she was about 6 weeks old. She’s 14 now and still a thriving terror in the absolute best way. I’m well-acquainted with the needs of different breeds, sizes, and ages, and fluent in canine behavior. Can’t wait to become besties with your beastie! I work remotely mostly over email so I’m very flexible in my availability. Visit times would largely be determined by already established feeding schedules and traffic. I’m happy to pop in for exercise/playtime, feeding, and cleanup! I’m detail-oriented and love a routine so I start with feeding (if medication is involved, it’ll be administered along with food unless otherwise specified) then change their water. Any necessary cleanup comes next, followed by exercise and grooming time.
About: I’m a dependable and attentive pet caregiver with experience caring for dogs and cats of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I’ve handled daily walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, playtime, and overnight care while making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m especially good at adapting to each pet’s personality — whether that means keeping up with high-energy dogs or being patient with anxious or senior pets. My goal is always to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring and responsible hands. I’m currently a student and have a very flexible schedule and will be happy to accommodate you. Please feel free to reach out to me. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment with lots of supervision, exercise, and interaction throughout the day. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and energy level to make sure they feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I've taken care of many pets in my life. I have watched my mom use Rover for many years and have helped with many stays and walks. During this time, I have gained experience working with pets who have specialized needs and require more attention than others. Energetic or not, all pets are different and require a good sitter who knows what to expect and handle many situations, and that's me! I can take your pet on walks or watch over them, making sure they're safe and sound. Updates every couple of hours will allow owners to feel peace of mind knowing their pet is in good hands. I am available most days of the week and can help through early mornings or later in the evening. Pet care fits into my schedule and I will respond to any inquiries immediately! During walks, I can avoid other animals if that is required for your pet. We will spend quality time together and a good environment and trust can make your pet feel even happier during the walk. At home I am able to crate pets if necessary and give any medication that is required for them. Those pets with accessibility needs, I am able to carry them downstairs or upstairs if necessary and provide all other senior related care.

About: Dear prospective client, I have been caring for dogs and cats for over 30 years. Professionally, I have worked as a walker for Mobile Mutts in Brooklyn, NY; a doggy daycare associate at NYC's Biscuits and Bath, and took care of pugs at a rescue called Pug Nation in Los Angeles, where I currently reside. In my personal life, I've been a devoted parent to 5 kitties and 2 pups. I've administered diabetes and other medication to cats; I've volunteered at multiple cat and dog rescues, where I was responsible for feeding, cleaning, playing and walking. I am passionate about animals and their well-being. I am an expert snuggler but also cognizant of a pet's boundaries and their special needs. I am a freelancer and have a flexible schedule that allows me to take on last-minute appointments. On most days, I am available as early as 7 a.m., and as late as 11p.m. I have a spacious and totally private, fenced-in backyard with grass that's a great space for some doggy playing and exercise. I live in a peaceful, safe community that's a dream for dog-walking. If pet-setting at your place, I will greet your pup with joy and love and make sure they feel loved. If crating is necessary, I am happy to do that as well. For kitties, I will play and snuggle and make them feel completely adored and engaged. Litterbox cleaning, medication administering, whatever your pet needs, they will be covered.
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 14 years old for neighbors, family, etc. I've always had several pups in my home at a time because they're my little babies. All of my dogs have been very well trained and follow directions extremely well! I'm currently a full time student but all my classes are scheduled for Tue/Thurs, and I work part time from home on my off days as a lash tech. I make my own schedule so I have PLENTY of free time to care for your pups! Because I am home all week for the most part I hang out with the dogs all day everyday so no need to worry about your fur baby getting lonely! We'll cuddle and watch tv. Regular potty breaks are taken, my two dogs are on a bathroom schedule, they go first thing in the morning, once or twice in the afternoon, and once before bed. Other pups that I have taken care of seem to catch on to our schedule very quickly and have no problems with it! If there is a time where I do need to leave to go do a grocery pick up or anything like that I let the dogs sleep on the couch while I'm gone, but I do have a crate present just in case I do need to put the pup up if they don't do well being left out of the crate with no supervision.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Martins. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Martins.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
