“Tanita has been so great with my little Spyke during her drop in visits during the 2 weeks I’ve been out of town. He is a timid little guy and can be shy around new people, and he has certainly warmed up quickly to her kindness and gentleness with him. I’ve been so grateful for Tanita’s great care for Spyke while I’ve been gone, it made my being away from him a little easier. I’d definitely trust my little guy in her care again and hope she’ll be open to visits or stays with him in the future if I need. If he’s comfortable, I’m 💯 comfortable as well. Thank you so much Tanita! ❤️ You’ve made my first experience with Rover fantastic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 recommended!”

“Madison was awesome, especially with Jazzy. Jazzy is very protective and at the meet and greet was nervous with Madison, but Madison gave her the space she needed and the time she needed to be okay! By Madison’s second drop in visit they were best friends! It was awesome having Madison come to the house for drop in visit while I was gone so the girls were comfortable in their setting! Having a senior dog this was important! Would highly recommend Madison and I will be using her in the future!”

“Marci was incredibly flexible and patient with me while I was trying to get everything set up even though I was sick, and still trying to do everything. I'm so grateful I was able to leave my precious fur babies in their care, they did an excellent job with zero judgement despite being welcomed to a disaster zone created in the whirlwind of trying to deal with the week + plans for our trip. The updates were thoughtful and sweet, filled with the like of details that a dedicated pet parent like myself would be looking for, I had zero questions due to the clear information given. Thank you again for doing such an amazing job Marci!!”

“Kendra was wonderful! I would highly recommend her. She did drop in visits and let me know my babies were doing well and being taken care with comments and pictures while I was away. Thanks Kendra!😇”

“Stephanie is so caring, reliable, and communicative! I'm usually uneasy when I leave town, but not this time. I knew how each of my pets was doing and I was never worried about their well-being. She sent me cute pictures and videos that helped me feel like I was always connected to them. That peace of mind is invaluable. I appreciate her help and I would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been a huge animal person my whole life. I’ve always loved helping and taking care of pets and even sometimes wild animals. My family always comes to me when they need help or have questions about their pets. I took a vet assisting class and know a little about wounds and health in pets. I am home most of the time, so I will be able to spend plenty of time with your pets. I am available mainly on week days and sometimes weekends. About: I have had all sorts of animals since I was born. I currently have 3 dogs(a german shepherd, giant schnauzer, and mini schnauzer), 1 cat(russian blue) and 2 ducks. I know how to give medicine if needed. No animal is too big or too small. I have been pet sitting for family friends for about a few years now. I have always wanted to work with animals since I was in 5th grade so being able to work with your animals will help me fulfill my dream. I will love and care for your pet like they are my own. Sometime in the future, I want to further my education in Veterinary Science and hopefully get my degree one day. Being able to work with your animals will help a ton! I am currently working 4-5 days a week for Lululemon in Salt Lake and I always have Sundays off no matter what the month is. I keep pets comfortable and happy in my home by sticking to their routine for meals, walks, playtime, and rest. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
