About: I have been pet-sitting since I was a little kid, and grew up with a mom as a vet, so a love of animals and concern for their well-being is deep in my bones. I was a volunteer at an animal shelter for three years, fostered cats and dogs for four, years, and currently have two cats of my own (and a menagerie of frogs and toads). I love caring for cats, dogs, rodents, fish, and exotics of all ages. :) I work full time, so I can drop in early in the morning or evenings. Weekends are typically open and more flexible. I have a car and can come to you. I am happy to care for your fur friend in your home. I like to meet them ahead to build trust and will go all-in on playtime. Let m know if you need plants watered too!

About: I’ve been tasked with caring for family dogs including walks since I was 10, ranging in size from little chihuahuas to large golden doodles. I have ample experience with pets that have specific dietary needs and medications. I know how to handle reactive dogs on walks, keeping them and others safe even in high stress moments. I live in Jefferson Chalmers and work part time, so I can accommodate your schedule. I’m in north Detroit and South Oakland & Macomb county frequently as well. I am happy to follow access instructions and care for your pets from the comfort of their home. Upon the first meeting, I make myself quiet and comfortable in a pet’s home so they are in charge of our meet and interaction. Between shy cats and reactive dogs, I’ve learned how to foster safe environments for all kind of pets. I hope to build relationships with pets so you can have more peace of mind leaving them in my care!

“Our dogs love Dana! We knew our dogs were in great hands while we were out. Dana was right on time and sent us updates and pictures. We were a little nervous leaving because our one pup doesn’t like thunder and storms were in the area, but Dana was great and made sure Cento wasn’t scared. 😊”

About: I'm a young professional that works from home and have some extra free time and LOVE caring for dogs. So this is the perfect opportunity for me and I have 10+ years of experience caring for dogs on Rover, after graduating from undergrad I took up dog sitting and I have watched homes and pets while family is out of town since then. I am very flexible and reliable and would have a great time with your pet! Why I love dog sitting: I had a dog who I was extremely close with and since his passing I miss a dog's companionship. Because of school and work I'm not able to take care of a dog full time so in the meantime I would love to keep yours company! I’m currently working from home and on my own schedule so I have plenty of time to take your pup on walks and give them lots of attention! How I care for pets varies on the individual pup or cat. Every one of them have their own special needs so I will be sure to be informed and have notes on the stay before booking.

About: With 15+ years of pet care experience you can be sure your four legged friends are in capable hands! I am available to walk dogs and do drop-in visits for cats and/or dogs. I'm happy to get some exercise and face time with your buddy as well as to administer any medication or special food they need. They'll be treated how I would want someone to treat my fur buddies Candi (my 7 y.o. rescue staffy with anxiety) and Barbara (my 5 y.o. rescue cat with FIV). I recently took a severance at my full time job and am looking to have a flexible schedule until after the birth of my firstborn in the fall. I will provide good, long walks for your buddy. If you need drop-in services I can feed them, give them medication and spend some hang time according to their needs and your preferences.

About: I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats and horses, so animals have always been a part of my life! Besides helping out with our own animals, I worked at a dressage barn throughout high school and showed horses throughout college. I have also taken care of family and friend's dogs and cats for extended periods of time. Pets have influenced my entire life and I understand the importance of every pet's health, safety and happiness. Besides caring for my own cat, I have an open schedule to give your pet the care and attention they deserve! My calendar is flexible to meet your pet-sitting needs. I currently do not offer pet sitting services at my home, but I am excited for the opportunity to take care of pets at a client's home. I prefer to meet the pet and go over the pet's needs with an owner prior to the owner being gone, so that I'm aware of the pet's environment and how I can best take care of the pet while their owner is away.

About: Grew up on a hobby farm with dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Since embarking on my career, I adopted several cats that travel with me :) Looking forward to giving your pet the attention it deserves. I am a work from home consultant who can take key breaks throughout the day. Though I do travel occasionally for work, stopping by your house or having them visit my house would add to the day! Trudeau is my sweet kitty who rules the house. He typically avoids other animals when they visit. My house also has a small, enclosed yard for quick pet needs

About: My family has always had dogs and from the age of about 8 I helped to potty train, crate train and care for 3 dogs. I've given many baths, administered lots of medication, clipped many nails and cleaned up many accidents. I've cared for senior dogs, puppies and everything in between. Now I have a dog all to my own and she thrives everyday! She's potty trained and crate trained and knows her basic manners and how to shake paws. I really just love dogs and would love the opportunity to make someone's pet feel special and cared for in their absence! I work from home, so I'm always at home with my own pet. I'm very flexible and free just about any time. I have reliable transportation and am always timely. I carefully follow all instructions left by pet parents and if I feel uncomfortable or unclear, I will always reach out to ask for guidance. I personally never walk my own dog off leash, as I worry about her safety and the safety of others, so I would always keep your dog on a leash. I love the dog park but if that is not your dog's speed, I love leisurely on leash strolls as well. I walk my own dog about an hour everyday so I'm always free to help get your puppy some exercise! I always carry water on walks and know when dogs get overwhelmed and/or tired.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities — from playful puppies to older dogs who need a slower, more gentle pace. I take pride in creating a calm, structured experience that helps dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m especially good with shy or anxious pups and those who need a little extra patience. I’ve also given dogs medication before and feel confident following specific care instructions — whether it’s pills, supplements, or special feeding routines. Every walk or visit is personalized to fit the dog’s needs, whether that means getting energy out on a long walk or offering a calm, reassuring presence for senior dogs or more sensitive pups. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. I’m an active person who enjoys walks, playtime, and getting outside with pets. I’d love to have a dog of my own, but for financial reasons, I’m not in a place to give one the full-time care it deserves. That’s why I love being on Rover — it gives me the chance to live vicariously through pet owners and spend time with amazing dogs without needing one of my own (for now!). I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits during the week after 5 PM, perfect for evening walks, potty breaks, or feeding visits. On weekends, I’m more flexible and offer both boarding at my home and overnight stays at your home for dogs who prefer to stay in their own space. Whether it’s a short visit, a long walk, or a weekend stay, I bring calm, consistent energy that helps pups feel right at home. Whether I’m caring for your dog in your home or mine, their safety and comfort always come first. I take the time to learn your dog’s routine, personality, and needs — from feeding schedules and medication to walking preferences and quirks — and I follow your instructions carefully to make sure they feel at ease. At my home, dogs are always walked on a leash, and I provide a calm, structured space where they can feel safe and relaxed. I live in a spacious, multi-level home with plenty of room for dogs to move around comfortably — including crate-friendly setups if that’s part of their routine. I also have a nice-sized yard for fresh air and outdoor time, though it’s not fenced, so all outdoor time is supervised and leashed for safety. If I’m staying in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect I give my own — keeping things clean, consistent, and comfortable for your pup.

About: I’ve taken care of people’s pets for over 15 years. Dog sitting, long-term pet sitting, walking, bathing, swimming. Love to take spoil pets and take them on adventures or simply walk them in the neighborhood. I am currently taking all times and dates. Little notice required if I am available. Any time any date I am here to care for your pet when you can’t. I unfortunately can’t take pets in my home due to my cat who doesn’t share my love for dogs. In your home I will care for your dog as you do. Clients have told me their dog is depressed after leaving me! Bittersweet.

“Cassidy is high on the list of people I trust to take care of my rescue dog. He is a fickle, affectionate, needy pup and Cassidy treats him with patience and lots of love. When she watches my dog, I know he's not only getting walked and fed, but that he is getting cuddled on the couch and scratched in all the right spots. Makes for a guilt-free day knowing how happy my dog is to see Cassidy!”

Overall i highly recommend Chauna as a pet sitter as I always have a great experience with her!”

Evan C.
“I would highly recommend Evan for taking care of your pets! He's been a great help walking my pit bull when I don't have time. She's a bit high strung and can be reactive to other animals and Evan handles all that very well. It's reassuring to know I can rely on him to be responsible and proactive in managing my dog's needs and personality... plus she absolutely adores him!”

Mary Grace S.
“Mary Grace has taken care of cats, dogs, and horses for our family many times throughout the years. She is very responsible and detail-oriented about following care instructions for all animals. She handles animals very well, even in difficult situations, and has a lot of love and compassion for all pets under her care. Mary Grace also is a great communicator and will send you pictures and updates about your pets before you even have to ask. I would highly recommend her for any petsitting job!”

“Katie watched my dog for a few days in fall 2023. She was very responsive to messages and sent some cute pictures while I was away. Would highly recommend her as a dogwalker!”

Justine I.
“Justine is such a responsible pet caregiver. She truly tends to your pet's every need, from taking your pet to different parks to walking long routes to ensure the dog gets the absolute best pleasure out of being walked. She is truly one of the best people to have watch your pet. My dogs love when she assists with anything.”

Rondy G.
“He been dog sitting for me over 12 yrs. He is patient, caring and size does not matter. He cared for our two dogs at the same time repeatedly and he is active with them in all weather seasons. We only have one now, Ivy gets so excited and happy when driving up to his house and when she see him the love pours. He is very responsible and will make sure if any special care is needed, they are followed accordingly - from food restrictions, giving medication, type or level of activity, you name it. I have no doubt Rondy will provide great customer service to pets and humans!”
