“Cindy is AMAZING and super responsive. Our one dog who is afraid of everyone bonded so fast with her! Even bringing his favorite toys to great her when she came to feed or walk them! Thank you Cindy you are the best and thank you for taking care of our babies!”

“Priscilla has been great! She made a good first impression with my two doggos (including my new puppy!) at our meet and greet and has been a blessing since. She is always on time and has provided great care for my dogs when she checks in on them. It’s such a relief to not have to stress when I’m gone!”

“We had such a great experience with Leah! She was incredibly quick to respond, super easy to communicate with, and kept us updated the entire time with lots of adorable pictures. Bayley clearly loved her, will absolutely be booking again, highly recommend!”

“I got stuck at work and wasn’t able to make it home to feed my kitties their lunch. I reached out to Joana last minute and she was so quick to respond. She made it to my home in time and my kitties loved her. She was so sweet with them and very gentle. Will definitely be reaching out in the future. Thank you Joana you are a life saver.”

About: I absolutely love dogs-they bring so much joy and energy into everyday life. That’s why I turned my passion into a business: dog walking. Whether it’s a quick stroll or a long adventure I’m dedicated to making sure every pup gets the exercise and attention and they deserve. I am pretty flexible. I can walk, visit your home or have sleep overs in my home. Ask me any questions you have. Thank you I have a fenced yard. Happy to walk your pet as well. I want you to feel comfortable, so care will be determined by you.
About: My family dog Jake lives in Philadelphia, and we’re very very close. Whenever I’m home, I feed him home cooked meals, take him on walks often, spend time outside with him, and if I’m inside he follows me from room to room all day. We’ve built a special friendship even though I’m only able to see him for a few months of the year. I work online as a holistic health coach, which gives me a lot of flexibility to be home and give your dog the attention and love they deserve. I don’t see this as simply “pet watching”. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and would love to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while you’re away. I also love to cook, so I’m more than happy to prepare fresh, home cooked meals for your pets if that’s part of their routine. I love being outside too, so walks, park/beach trips, and plenty of time outdoors are things I’d genuinely look forward to. More than anything, I’d love to have dogs in my life more often. If I’m taking care of your dog, I want them to feel at home with me. I’m available any day of the week with at least 48 hours notice! I work online, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m able to spend a lot of time at home with your pets. Most of my work consists of independent work and client calls, all of which I can comfortably do while your pets are around. That way your pets can have plenty of company and care throughout the day without me needing to leave them alone for long periods of time. I’m happy to follow whatever routine works best for them. Whether that means playing outside in the yard, getting some exercise indoors, or simply relaxing and keeping them company. I’ll make sure they always have fresh + filtered water, are fed according to their normal routine, and get plenty of walks / attention throughout the day. I’m also a holistic health coach, so if your pets eat home cooked meals, I’d be more than happy to prepare their food as well. I spend most of my day outside and walk a lot, so frequent walks can easily fit into my routine. Finallh, if there’s any way you'd like me to curate the environment to support them then I’d be more than happy to do that!
“Tamesha took wonderful care of our puppies. We appreciate how she kept us updated and sent videos. We will definitely call on her to watch Asher and Summer whenever we are away from home.”

About: I’ve grown up in a house full of dogs and cats my entire life. I’m patient and loving and if your dog or cat needs a comforting place to stay, I’m your girl. I allow pets on furniture and to cuddle in bed. I have two Cavalier King Charles who are friendly and playful to keep them company. Accidents happen and if they do I will handle it with a gentle approach if your dog is a puppy or a senior. I am not working during the summer so my days consist mostly of cuddling in the couch with my pets, home workouts and walks with my dogs. I walk my dogs on leashes on the sidewalk and occasionally take them to the dog park. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I am careful when I open my doors and ensure that each dog is leashed before opening the door to go outside for a walk.
“We are so lucky to have found Cathy! She and Mike immediately hit it off with our dog, Finnie. It was such a relief to see how comfortable and happy he was with them right away. They clearly love dogs and treat them like family. We couldn’t ask for better sitters and we also made new friends! Whenever we’re in Marco Island, we’ll definitely be checking in with Cathy and Mike again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have extensive experience growing up taking care of dogs, puppies and cats. I also have experience working in an animal hospital and doggy day care. I have a chocolate lab named Cleo and a domestic short hair kitty named Mia. I will treat your animals with the love and care they deserve. I work remotely part time so I have a flexible schedule to feed and care for your fur babies! I enjoy being outdoors and exercising in which I’m excited to walk your pups! I have a fenced in yard with lots of room for your fur babies to run around and play. My chocolate lab Cleo will also be around to keep things interesting. As far as your home, I will treat it with great care and respect. Securing all gates and doors, sending you update pictures leaving your mind at ease.
About: Hiya :) I’m a proud English Bulldog mom, so patience comes naturally… any bulldog owner knows they're full of personality (and a little stubbornness!). I've also worked with reactive dogs and believe every pup deserves calm, compassionate care that's tailored to them. You'll get plenty of photo updates, and if your dog loves to be active, don't be surprised if I send a Strava map of our walk or run too! I’m currently part-time! I can be there for you on weekend trips, evenings, and am willing to be a little flexible if your little guy (or gal) needs a spot during the week if I have some notice. I have a bulldog of my own that is super friendly! I’m fine administering medications, or if your dog has particularly special needs. I live local to several parks and can take your pup on long walks, just let me know what your little one needs!

So glad we found Cathy and Mike! Our cat was thrilled to have them drop by each day for some playtime, brushing and petting. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
