“Nicole took excellent care of our 3 cats while we were gone for 7 days. She kept the place cleaner than she needed to, and made sure all cats got some attention during the visits. She also communicates very well, and is very accommodating with any changes. I will definitely rebook her in the future!”

“Avianna was wonderful with our Lab, Kobe! She met with me beforehand to make sure she was a good fit for our dog, which I really appreciated. She was polite, approachable, and clearly comfortable dog-sitting. On the day of the visit, she arrived on time, followed all my instructions, and I felt completely at ease having her do a drop-in at my home. I highly recommend her services and would definitely hire her again!”

About: Hi, I’m Gizelle! 🐾 If you’re anything like me, your pets aren’t “just pets”—they’re family. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to leave them in someone else’s care and trust that they’ll be loved, understood, and kept safe while you’re away. That’s exactly the kind of care I strive to provide. I have over 4 years of experience working in veterinary medicine and hold an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. Throughout my career, I’ve cared for pets of all ages and personalities—from playful puppies and energetic adolescents to senior pets who need a little extra patience, comfort, and medical support. I also have experience administering medications and caring for pets with special needs, so you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in capable hands. Beyond my professional experience, fostering rescue dogs has truly shaped who I am as a caregiver. I’ve welcomed dogs from all walks of life into my home—dogs who were scared, grieving, learning to trust again, or simply waiting for their forever families. Those experiences taught me that every animal is unique and deserves to be met with compassion, patience, and unconditional love. As a dog mom myself, I understand the little things that matter most: sticking to routines, respecting boundaries, celebrating quirky personalities, and making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in your absence. Whether your pup loves long walks and playtime, prefers quiet cuddles on the couch, or needs extra reassurance while you’re away, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I know how much trust it takes to hand over the leash to someone else. My promise to you is that your pet will be treated with the same love, attention, and respect that I would want for my own dogs. I’ll keep you updated with photos, messages, and all the little moments that help you feel connected while you’re apart. Thank you for considering me to care for one of the most important members of your family. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend and give them the love and care they deserve Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule—it’s part of who I am. My days naturally revolve around the pets in my care, making sure they have their meals on time, daily exercise, enrichment, affection, and any special care they may need. I know how important routines are for pets, so I do my best to keep things as normal and stress-free as possible while giving them plenty of love and attention along the way. I believe every pet deserves care that’s tailored to their individual needs and routine. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I take the time to learn their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any special instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable. I provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, potty breaks, walks, and enrichment, while also respecting their boundaries and personalities. With my background in veterinary medicine, I’m comfortable administering medications and caring for senior pets or those with special needs. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their furry family members are happy and well cared for while they’re away. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved, secure, and as close to their normal routine as possible—because I know they’re not just pets, they’re family. 🐾❤️

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life and have hands-on experience raising two litters of kittens from a young age. I care for my two senior dogs every day, making sure they are fed, exercised, comfortable, and getting the attention they need. Because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, I make time each day to provide reliable and loving care for pets. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. In my client’s home, I follow all instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special care requirements. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping their environment clean and safe. My goal is to help pets feel secure and cared for while their owners are away.
“Liba is the best! She was amazing in taking care of my dog! She took him on an extra long walk, and gave him extra love and attention. My dog has anxiety when I leave the home and often will not eat. Liba stayed until my dog felt comfortable and ate his food.”
“We absolutely adored Izzabellah K! Our fur-baby was fond of her the moment he met her, as were we. She communicated well, efficiently, and effortlessly. Followed our instructions well. Is super friendly and kind! We will definitely be using her again.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
