Growing up, my mom trained dogs professionally, which gave me early experience to dog behavior and proper pet care. Throughout high school, I regularly helped care for up to 10 dogs at a time, assisting with daily routines, exercise, feeding, and general care. I also grew up with a cat, and have always loved spending time with cats just as much as dogs. I work full time Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM at the Community Mental Health in downtown Traverse City, but have some flexibility. I am available for dog walks and drop in visits for an hour any time between 12PM-2PM during the week. I am available from 5:30PM-11 PM Monday-Friday, and have open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with a beloved family member is a big decision, and I take it seriously. When caring for pets in their own home, I strive to keep their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines, or just spending quality time together, I know that consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their parents are away. I am a merchant mariner and work on a boat every other month, so when I’m home I’m able to fully dedicate my time to watch dogs and cater my schedule and needs to my clients.
