“Katherine was very responsive, listened to the instructions perfectly and made me feel that my sweet baby was well cared for with her visit !! She also sent pictures, which was such a treat to see my baby happy when I’m at work!”

“Kathryn really got me out of a bind as she was able to walk Maggie twice on short notice. She made sure that I was comfortable with her by taking time to come over and meet the day before. She kept me updated with pictures and I can’t recommend her enough.”

“I put in a last-minute request for a walk, and Charles responded right away. He was prompt and polite, and it was immediately obvious that Charles is experienced with dogs. He has a gentle manner and way of speaking - my dogs took to him immediately. He sent me updates throughout the walk and even spent extra time with them. They liked him so much they tried to get in his car! As a Rover sitter myself and as someone that has used other Rover sitters, I know how hard finding a trusted sitter can be, but Charles put my worries to rest. I highly recommend Charles, and I will definitely be using him again.”

About: I have had pets of my own for the past 38 years, since I was 12 years old. I also have a degree in biology and chemistry and have worked in animal hospitals and zoos. My husband, Scott, has had pets all his life. We treat our pets with the love and care that family members deserve, and we take our responsibility to them very seriously. Currently, we have a 2 year old black lab who absolutely loves all other animals, and a 14 year old cat who mostly sleeps in quiet, dark places. Our dog, Rosie, is always looking for new friends and is very submissive with them. She just wants to play and snuggle! Our children are grown and help with the care of them. Our house is full of pet lovers! We are very active and love to go for hikes, and we always keep dogs on their leash on the trails. We're happy to take your doggy to the dog park, as well, if you request it. You can have total peace of mind while your pup stays with us! I currently work part time and Scott, my husband, is a teacher and has summers off. I'm home a lot during the entire year, and we're both home on weekends. We have a fenced in backyard for running around and playing fetch. We have a large house and a fenced in yard where our dog, Rosie, loves to run around or playing fetch with us. We regularly go for walks in the neighborhood and hikes in the woods or on the beach. We love to take Rosie to the dog park, but will skip it if you're not comfortable with it. Scott is a teacher and has weekends and all summer free. Stephanie works part time, mostly from home and is at home most of the time during the week and is also available weekends. We have a large fenced yard and a wonderful Labrador retriever to keep your fur baby happy! We love giving dogs love and attention! We also love to take walks if that is something your dog enjoys.
“Olivia has been great with my working line German Shepherd. He’s very high energy and can be a handful sometimes, but she handles him with patience and confidence. He loves his walks with her! Highly recommend :)”
“Tabitha is been walking my 85 year old mother's labradoodle for about a month. Tabitha has been very kind to my mother and has taken great care of Cocoa. I always get updates about their walks and what business Cocoa has done. Tabitha has also been very dependable through the sub-zero weather we have had this winter. She always shows up with a smile and is happy to be there.”
About: I am experienced walking and taking care of many different breeds, including a Weimaraner, Husky, German Shorthaired Pointer, Corgi, and a Chihuahua. I have also house sat for dogs, cats, and rabbits. One of the dogs I've watched had a history of seizures, so I learned how to administer their daily medication. I'm very punctual and I love animals. I've walked dogs in a lot of different weather conditions, and have no problem walking your dog regardless of what weather Michigan decides to throw at everyone. I look forward to getting some valuable time outdoors, and getting to take care of some adorable animals. I have a fairly open schedule and will do my best to accommodate clients. I am available to work early, late, and overnight as needed. I will take care of pets in their home so that they can be the most comfortable. I will follow the schedule for walks and food that their owner provides.
About: Welcome to my profile. I am Lauren, a 22-year-old animal care professional with six years of experience in veterinary medicine. I hold a Fear Free Certification. Recently, I welcomed a three-month-old infant into my family, which has been a rewarding experience. I also provide pet sitting services, including dog walking, drop-in visits, and extended stays at clients' residences. I care for a wide variety of animals, ranging from reptiles and small mammals to horses, although I prefer to avoid handling spiders and snakes due to personal discomfort. Should you have any inquiries or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. My schedule is flexible, as I work PRN, and I am dedicated to supporting pet owners in the care of their animals. Thank you for considering my services and trusting me with your pets. I only work PRN(as needed) at Munson Foster Family, watching animals has always been a hobby for me. I will always make time for your fur baby. I prefer to care for the Client’s animals in their own home because it helps them feel more comfortable and secure. Moving to a new environment can be stressful for pets, especially those with anxiety, so staying in their familiar space makes a big difference. I’ve seen how this approach can really soothe anxious pets and help them feel at ease.
“Grace has been great with my almost 6 month old puppy Scout! She makes sure he gets the playtime he needs in the middle of the day. Grace is very trustworthy and would recommend her for watching your furry animals!”

About: I have been watching dogs since I was in high school for neighbors but recently took up watching dogs seriously in the last year or so. I worked at a private country club in California for the last year and was very involved in watching members dogs. This included taking them for walks, stopping in for daily visits while owners are away or spending multiple nights, sometimes up to a week staying with dogs. This has included many different breeds ranging from schitzus to giant poodles. I am comfortable with multiple animals. I follow clients directions very carefully and can play with, walk or entertain your dog as long as you request. I love caring for animals.

Macy was a great fit for Murphy! I think he had fun today. Macy was great about communication with me and I love the pictures she took! We moved here in November and so everything is new to Murphy and I worry he will be too much to handle. Apparently not too much for Macy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
