“Our cat, Mittens, walked into our lives two months ago. She was a stray and her personality has proven to be difficult for all who know her. She has two modes, friendly and cuddly or violent. After scratching our nine year old neighbor who was trying to watch her while we were out of town as well as an adult neighbor who was also trying to help, I contacted Andrew to see if he could take over. Andrew was able to understand our complicated kitty and did a great job caring for her while we were gone. Mittens adored her time with Andrew, and minimized her attacks under his care. He spent time getting to know her and playing with her. He brought toys and cuddles. He offered helpful tips and resources for taming our spicy feline. I hope that Andrew is available when we next go out of town. I also hope that our spicy stray calms down. Thank you Andrew for making our time away one thousand times less stressful.”

“Natalie is such an amazing sitter! We had to find a new sitter and she is wonderful. She cleaned up some messes one of our older cats made, ensured that their waters were clean, and loved on my cats. Keeping her info for the future!!”

About: I have over twenty years experience caring for not only dogs: but also speciality animals such as horses and reptiles. I have a vet assisting degree, and security experience. I am familiar with licensing and bonding, animal behavior and various medications - including but not limited to insulin injections, and I am licensed with the state of IL to practice security. Not only am I reliable, but I am an experieneced and safe option while you’re away. I live on a five acre farm with horses, cats, dogs, and other various animals. I believe animals are family. I have a section of the house for cats, and one for dogs. The cats have access to the dog room, but can easily be cut off from entrance. My home, and habits, are very safe and organized. I work and network with my husband and family. There is always someone available! All animals are considered family to us! Please take special note that when booking for you animal companions to stay at our home, we are not a boarding center, we are a personal home setting. In order to ensure the best success with this arrangement, a visit to your home where your dog is comfortable and not stressed is required before visiting our place of residence. This gives us important insight on your animals natural behaviors to ensure the best action/sitting experience not only for us - but especially for your animals. I have plenty of time for your pups and their specific needs/routines. We cater to every animal as if they were our own, and understand each one is special and different. We have a double fenced yard, with lots of open space indoors and out. Extra crates and or farm house furniture for your pets needs.

“Pam was great at conducting drop-ins for my cat. She was super communicative and sent a lot of pictures and updates! She really made me feel at ease while away from home. Thanks Pam!”

“Stephanie was great to work with. She made us feel comfortable leaving our cat Bacon, knowing she’d be looked after daily. Stephanie did a great job providing updates and photos after each visit. We will definitely be looking to work with her again in the future.”

“She did an excellent job watching our cat ar hour home. She took her time to get to know the cat and gained her trust. Lots of good play/cuddles and will definitely rebook for next vacation or short trips.”

“Maria is my hero. She really saved the day for me. She took excellent care of George and kept him safe while I was at work. She is professional and put me at ease the minute she walked in the door. I felt I could trust her with my baby almost immediately. She definitely has George’s stamp approval too! He looked happy and cozy when I arrived home. Thank you Maria ! Our pets are like kids and it feels good having someone I can trust to take care of him.”

“Are you someone who is on Rover looking for a new pet sitter, but you don't know who to trust and who will do a great job? Well look no further - hire April immediately; you won't be disappointed! We contacted April looking for a pet sitter over Thanksgiving and chose her because of her great reviews and number repeat clients. Everything folks have said is true. She was so attentive to our cats, and also communicated quickly and thoroughly with us each day we were gone. She went above and beyond our instructions (which wasn't a small list) and we returned home to some of the happiest cats we've ever seen after being away. The only problem is that we're losing her as our sitter because she's moving, but our loss is your gain!”

About: Hello! I’m Mahala, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for horses, bunnies, cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I currently have two wonderful dogs—a Boxer and a Chihuahua—and have a deep understanding of the different care needs each dog may have. In addition to my personal experience, I volunteer at a local dog training company, so I’m well-equipped to handle dogs with a range of temperaments. I am available Monday through Saturday, with flexible scheduling to suit your needs. Whether your dog requires special attention, medication, or responds to specific commands, I’m more than happy to tailor my services to provide the best care for your pet. I provide dog walking and drop-in visits at your home. Whether your dog needs a quick walk to stretch their legs or a longer visit to give them attention while you’re away, I’m happy to accommodate. After our walk, I’ll ensure your dog is safely returned home, comfortable, and settled. I can also offer drop-in services to check on your dog, refresh their water, feed them, or provide some playtime in your absence.

“Thank you so much for dropping in to check on our two kitties. We really really appreciate that you were able to visit around Mollee's bedtime and to see her in the photos all relaxed in her usual places. Della jumped down from the cat tree in the office when we got home, she was napping up top. Hopefully, as she gets to know you, she will come out and play with you!”

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs and neighbors dogs ever since I was little! I love to stay active with them and just hang out with them! I’m currently working part time from Monday to Thursday so my weekends are very open! During the weekdays after 5pm is when I become available! I have a fenced yard though it is kind of small, but accompanying it is my 12 year old hound dog and two young cats!

“Kayla was an amazing sitter. I felt she got it covered very easily while we were gone. Great communication as for us it was the first time using rover and you learn to trust that everything is going to be okay which it was. We came back and our cats were on great spirit.I highly recommend Kayla and will book her again for future trips. Thx ?”

About: I grew up with all kinds of pets and animals. I have trained two dogs (big and small), and pet sit other people’s dogs regularly. I am a graduate student so you know you can rely on me to show up and take care of your fury friend. I am very flexible for June and July! Just let me know what your furry friend needs. I’m only available in the mornings on Mondays and Thursdays but the rest of the week is very open. I will stick to whatever schedule you currently have for your pet. I know consistency is important when they are missing you. If you have any house needs (plants, mail, etc) I am happy to help out there too.

About: I am exclusively a cat sitter, I do not offer dog services and am only doing this because Rover is making me do it. Haha. I currently at a stay at home mom that travels about 90 miles a day for my daughter's gymnastics, 6 days a week. I have lots of down time to love on your kitties while you are out of town! I am reliably (sometimes too much so) on time. I will go above and beyond to ensure that not only your cat's basic needs are met, but that they are loved and feel safe with my being there and love on them if they want. Having two cats who require someone to come over and cuddle when I leave town, I understand that the typical "cat" personality does not actually exist and that they are their own unique creatures.

“Graysen does an amazing job taking care of my cat Mighty. Graysen is conscientious and makes sure Mighty gets attention and care when he is at the house visiting and feeding Mighty. I loved the daily photos of Mighty and the updates on him. I have already schedule Graysen to come back for a week! I have a feeling Mighty is looking forward to his visits! Thank you so much, Graysen!”

Phoebe B.
“Phoebe has looked after my dog Jasper, a 6 year-old, 100 lb labradoodle, on multiple occasions, for weeks at a time. She is our favorite dogsitter, and I can't recommend her enough. She is excellent at communication, punctual and trustworthy, and even more important, genuinely loves dogs and the outdoors. Jasper loves her so much. She stayed at our house for 2 weeks to take care of Jasper while we went on vacation last year. She sent us photo updates so we could see our pup while we were gone. All of my local neighborhood dog friends saw Phoebe out with Jasper every morning and every afternoon, letting him play with his doggie friends, and taking him for long walks around the trails in our neighborhood. When we came home, our house was immaculate and the dog was freshly clean.”
