About: I have experience working at a vet office, and worked dogsitting overnights and drop ins throughout my college career. I've had animals my whole life, including dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and even horses, but I have a special place in my heart for dogs, and have one of my own who is one of the loves of my life! I'm happy to drop in multiple times per day around my work schedule (I work from home 9am-5pm) and I have an hour lunch which I use to visit dogs (or really any other animals) on my lunchtime rounds. If your dog needs help learning to socialize, my dog may be the perfect match, he is very easygoing and always eager to make a new friend. We go to the dog park frequently and he is used to playing with small dogs as well as some bigger breeds. I have experience with animals large and small, and I have a horse so giant breeds are still a breeze. I'd love to meet you and your pets! I have an open schedule for drop in visits and walks, and am available most weekends. Whether you are looking for a daily dog walker or a vacation sitter, I can help. I believe each pet requires an individual approach so that they are comfortable and happy during our visits. I strive to figure out what the pet needs to feel comfortable early on during our meet and greets so that I can keep them healthy and happy while you’re gone.

“Halley did a fine job taking care of our animals. I have not spent any time away from my dog in the 12-ish years I've had her so I was pretty stressed about that. We also have a cat of advanced age, we were worried about her and finally 2 cats who are sneaky and will dart out if you're not paying attention. Happily all 4 animals are happy and unstressed. They were happy to see us of course but overall, they didn't have too much stress. Finally, our home was still neat and clean when we got home. Halley was very conscientious, she left our home as neat as she found it. There was a snafu but Halley managed to deal with it and get on with things. I would be happy to recommend her to others and if we ever need to go out of town again, Halley is who I would ask to care for my home and my animals.”

We have sensitive little dogs that mean the world to us, so I was really NERVOUS about leaving them with a stranger. Sarah doesn't stay a stranger for long. When we met Sarah, my dogs immediately adored her - which made a lot of my anxiety disappear. She LISTENED to our way of doing things and EXPLAINED her planned approach to make sure our concerns were met. She frequently stopped in to provide ample potty breaks throughout the day and stayed with our pups throughout the night. She even sent photos of each visit to let us stay updated about our dogs well-being and progress. I felt like I was leaving them with a trusted family member - who ENJOYED being with our dogs. About: I have years of experience working with pets and have been caring for pets of all kinds from a young age. People were always outnumbered by pets in my household. I have had the pleasure of expanding my experience with animals as I have worked for the past two years as a nanny/farmhand. In that position I have worked with dogs, cats, goats, chickens and even a sassy young miniature donkey. I am lucky enough to have my best friend living locally who worked as a veterinary technician for several years and is always available for medical advice! My work days extend Mondays through Friday for 6-8 hour stretches depending on the day. My schedule allows for plenty of time to walk and play with your pets before 9am and after 4pm with additional opportunity for brief check-ins/ potty breaks on M/W/F as my work is flexible those days allowing me to be mobile and pop by if needed. For the comfort of your pets, I am more than willing to stay with them at their own home for the duration of the job. I do have a sweet 9 year old Belgian shepherd mix who she gets along wonderfully with other animals and would love to join me to provide an additional social aspect to the visit if you wish or I can come solo. Totally depending on your preference!

“Zalie proved to be excellent with my over anxious dog. My pup has years of trauma and ptsd which makes her weary of new people and new situations. Zalie has showed so much patience and care to help my dog be as comfortable as possible in her surroundings with a "stranger". Zalie gave frequent updates and was quick to reply to any messages I sent. She sent photo updates of trust milestones her and my pup made and followed the tips I gave on how to handle my nervous girl when it came to going on walks and even needing to hand feed my dog because of her quirky anxiety issues. Zalie left my house neat and clean and made sure my dog was walked and fed and snuggled in to her safe spot before leaving moments before I got home. As the first time using Zalie and Rover for dog and house sitting, I am happy with the service. I'm so pleased that my shy dog now has a new human friend and I am confident that Zalie will continue to be my first choice when needing pet care.”

I have a small studio apartment that would be most appropriate for boarding a small dog or cat.
