PLEASE NOTE: I work a full-time job (based in Juno Beach) and may not be able to check on your pets as frequently as you’d like, especially during the day. I have experience caring all kinds of animals, personally and professionally for more than 10 years. Growing up and through adulthood, my family always owned Golden Retrievers. When I was young, I expressed interest in animal care and owning my own pets, ranging from small mammals, birds, and reptiles. In my teenage years, I started out pet sitting for family friends and have continued to pick up pet/house sitting gigs whenever and wherever I can. I also have experience administering medication to some of the animals I’ve cared for. Professionally, I have worked at a veterinary hospital and boarding facility for two summers. At this facility, I was responsible for the care and socialization of dogs of various sizes and demeanors. I also worked at my local humane society caring for cats and dogs with different lead styles, temperaments and bite thresholds. I was responsible for providing the dogs with three walks a day. Through this job, I also have some experience with clicker training and administering bordatella and rabies vaccines to incoming stray dogs. Looking to make extra money doing what I love! I do work full time, so my most open days for all services are Saturday and Sunday. However, I can accommodate AM drop in visits any day of the week. And I am open to pet sitting in your home any day, as long I can work it around my full time job. I provide regular photos and updates to owners to build and instill trust. I also make sure to follow care instructions as written to ensure proper care as intended. And I make sure to bring a calm and confident energy when entering and inhabiting your pet’s space. About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, and various animals since I was 13 years of age. A lot of the dogs I watched were older, and therefore required a lot more care, time, and attention (which I absolutely love giving!). On top of that, I also have watched a lot of dogs that require more energy, like puppies that are more active or dog breeds that require more walking. I grew up with a black lab who always loved hiking (we usually hiked 10 miles a day for her needs), so if you have an active dog, I can most definitely make sure they get their activity in! In addition to pet sitting dogs, I have also pet sat many cats. Growing up, my family often fostered kitties, so I have experience with a wide age range of cats. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I’m extremely detail-oriented and treat every pet’s routine like it matters. I follow feeding, walk, and medication instructions carefully, and I always keep an eye out for changes in behavior, appetite, or energy. I’m always careful with doors, gates, and leashes to make sure no one slips out, and I never take pets off-leash unless we are in a fully secure area. About: I will walk your dog and give him or her my 100% attention. I don’t walk your dog while talking on my cellphone which I see most dog walkers doing on the Upper East Side. Your precious baby gets my undivided attention as we’re on our walk so they don’t eat anything laying on the street that might make them sick. I also gently wipe your dog’s paws so they don’t track dirt into your apartment. I will treat and love your precious doggie as if he or she were my own. I’m available for short or long walks during the morning, early afternoon and sometimes early evening if needed.I’m also available to board your dog in my apartment overnight for one or more nights.
