About: I have an Associates degree in veterinary science technology. I have a few years of experience working as a vet tech before deciding to pursue an accounting/business degree in hopes of starting a rescue kennel business someday. I also have 2 years of experience dog sitting for neighbors who are away on vacation. Services I have provided include grooming such as bathing, trimming nails, and ear cleaning. I can also give medication if needed. I am available almost every weekend to spend time with fur babies :) I am available on the weekdays Tuesday-Friday early in the morning, and after 5pm to spend evening times with them as well. I keep my home “dog proof” meaning I spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure no hazards are on the floor that dogs may be curious to eat. I keep the living room spacious and hallway open for play time and potential zoomies. Bedroom and bathroom will be closed off for additional safety. I will always ask about any allergies as a precaution, and will confirm what they are allowed to eat before feeding them. Water will always be provided. There is a beautiful walking trail very close by I spend time on walking dogs and making sure they’re well exercised. I have one small beagle at home who is very friendly and quiet.

“Lucky is usually a pretty anxious dog and when I would pick him up from a boarding center he would be VERY relieved and excited to see me. When I picked him up from Mayra's, he was happy to see me but not anxious. Because of this, I know he got plenty of love and attention during his stay.”

“Ah man, where do I even begin!? Sophia was incredible!! We arranged a meet & greet where our pup Oz got to meet her and the lovely Darla. It was a perfect fit. Our other sitter who was familiar with the parents of Oz (DOOM & Space) unfortunately had to cancel the day before and as crazy as it seemed to watch 3 Cane Corso’s at once, she did that! We are eternally grateful for Sophia for being so accommodating so last minute and really make our babies feel comfortable and loved. I also include daily updates—photos, videos, whatever makes you feel closest to your pet while you’re away. I love pets sometimes more than my own time so I will be ready mostly at anytime to give my time to take care of furry babies. I have no pets in my home so there will be no interaction with others pets while I give my services. I have a doggie park a couple feet away from my house for easy and fun physical activities.
