About: I have had a special needs dog for 14 years. He had many different health problems, but we conquered them together! I also had a dog that needed an amputation and I was able to take care of him as well. I have a fully remote position that allows me to take care of your babies anytime! Whatever bathroom and feeding schedule they are on, I can handle it. I do not have any pets at home anymore. I treat all animals as if they are my own. About: We are an active retired couple who have had many dogs, and are available to care for your pet in our home. Our typical schedule with our 9 year old, part Golden Retriever, Rosie, includes an early morning walk in the Wissahickon Park which is a few hundred feet from our home. Midday we head back to the park or take a ride to Bluebell Hill or an enclosed dog park in Gladwyn, depending on weather, crowds, etc. Shorter walks are planned as needed. Swimming, play and fetching are always an adventure option. Fran has done volunteer work at a shelter, dealing with walking and caring for all sorts of dogs, large and small. Curtis grew up on a small farm with many animals. We will work with you and your preferences about your dog’s behavior and needs. Just let us know if your pup has thunder or separation anxiety, or other behavior issues. A certificate of health and vet info are a must to assure a happy and healthy stay Chez Read. We are most familiar with Golden Retrievers and crazy Old English Sheepdogs but love dogs in general. Our dog Rosie must be comfortable with your pup and of course you and your pet should feel the same about us! We will go through a questionnaire with you to better understand your dog’s history and routine. Photo updates will be gladly provided while your dog is on vacation. Our goal is to enjoy, understand and provide a happy vacation for your dog. Older pets are welcomed, but we do have stairs and cannot do heavy lifting. If your dog is high energy and pulls hard on the lead, the dog park is a must as we do not have an enclosed back yard. Our last Golden Retriever was a challenging rescue, very active until he passed at 11 and we miss him very much. He was our 4th Golden Retriever. Currently we have the time, energy and compassion for more dogs. One of us is usually at home to be with the dogs. We are retired and flexible so your pet’s care is our priority. We plan so that one of us is home during your pet’s stay, unless unusual circumstances arise. Ideally, your pet will have more fun than you! Sometimes it takes a day for dogs to settle in and relax. We give lots of walks and attention, while being mindful of the health and safety of your dog. We worry and think about “what if” to avoid problems.

About: Hello! My soul dog of 13 years recently passed over the rainbow bridge and now I have extra love and time to spoil your dog! I know how hard it was to find a reliable, trustworthy, detailed sitter with availability to stay with my dog, so I would love to offer my services in the local area of Roxborough, Manayunk, Andorra, and around Plymouth Meeting. I work from home and so am available all day and would love to do doggy daycare or sleepovers with me so I can truly be with them all the time. I can also sit at your home in a 5 mile radius, but would need to work around meetings during the day, but would still visit multiple times a day and could be with them at night. I only take one dog at a time, unless they are in the same household, so I can give them all my attention. I am comfortable with young dogs through seniors, and up to 45 lbs. I can give meds (except shots). I do have 16 stairs up to my apartment so they would have to be able to get up the stairs or be carried (and I also have a doggy elevator!) I live on a property in peace and quiet with a fenced grass pee area, and also a pee area on my deck outside the front door. We have a beautiful neighborhood to walk in and a small park 5 blocks up the street. I am not so comfortable with bully breeds (I'm so sorry), but would consider on a case by case basis. I hope to meet you soon! I work from home so can be with dogs 24 hours a day if they stay with me or I can visit around my work schedule during the day and stay in your home at night. I'd like to stay within 5 miles of Roxborough to keep it manageable. I have a fenced in pee area/small yard, and a park 5 blocks up the street. We have a lovely neighborhood 1 block away to walk dogs, and I walked mine there for 12 years so I know all the doggies. I'll take your lead on crates, I never had my dog crate trained so they can roam my apartment, lie around, be on the couch or bed, whatever they are comfortable with. I have a fenced in deck they can also enjoy with fake grass and umbrellas.

About: I am experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments from both owning them and volunteering at shelters. I have worked for other companies dog sitting both for overnight stays and for daily visits. I will provide compassionate care for your pet as well as fast paced walks to make sure the pups are tired and comfortable until you come home or my next visit. I am patient and allow dogs to come to me when they are comfortable doing so. I am otherwise self employed and work from home / make my own schedule, so I only leave the house for appointments some days and for limited time. I have a friendly and emotionally mature 5 yr old cattle dog mix who loves to spend time in our fenced yard or on walks, especially with other dogs! If you prefer drop ins or walks at your house I can leave him home, or do a mini pack walk and bring him only if preferred.
