“Melody was absolutely amazing! I initially booked a last-minute dog-sitting appointment, and she accommodated me with no issues. She kept me updated throughout the day, letting me know when my pup went potty or had a meal, and even helped with crate training. I noticed positive changes in my pup—he was much calmer upon pick-up, which showed how well he was cared for. Melody was incredibly reliable, watching my pup for a full two weeks, and I never once had to worry about his well-being. She even assisted with food changes, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend Melody to anyone looking for a caring and attentive dog sitter!”

“She had great availability, and my dog loved playing with hers. She was flexible about dietary things (like my dog on a raw meat diet). She took cute pictures and kept me abreast of my dog’s urination and bowel movements. She was kind, kept a clean house, had fenced in space outdoors for the dogs to play and get some exercise, movement and sunlight. She was reliable and felt safe with my dog in her care.”

“Joseph was good & patient with Shadow. He’s a high energy husky & I’m sure he can be a lot to deal with. But my boy was eager to go over Joseph’s place to play. Both days that were needed. I did not have any issues while I was away. Even sent occasional photos giving updates of my boy. Will be using his services again.”

“Yuhan was very good with my dog Teddy, and too him on short notice as I had a last minute event to attend. She was a great communicator and sent me lots of pictures which I loved. She's a lovely person and filled me in everything about my pet when I picked him up.”

About: NEW: The Chopperoni now accepts daycare guests! NEW: The Chopperoni now accepts dog walking requests! Welcome to The Chopperoni, a doggy homestay hotel located near Fishtown in Philly! ✨ Hello, dear humans and pupperonis! My name is Kira and I'm the head Chopperone at the Chopperoni, named so after my weiner boy Chopper. I'm a semi-retired programmer who works in app development and consulting. I work from home about 0-10 hours a week, which allows me to pursue pet-sitting as a full-time hobby! All profits go towards new toys, treats, and supplies. We welcome all pups 40lbs and under, and here's a list of what you can expect from your baby's stay with us: • 3-4 daily walks (more if needed) • Dogs welcome on all furniture and sleep in bed with me • 10-20 photos PER DAY • Playtime tailored to your dog's preferences and energy level • Plenty of cuddles and affection for dogs who enjoy them • Respectful space for independent, shy, or low-contact dogs • Playmates for maximum socialization! There are 3 resident dogs and I host up to 3 boarders at a time. We are either napping, going for a walk, playing, or sleeping together 🤣🤣🤣 • Meet and Greets are required to ensure all dogs get along! As a devoted dog mom, I know how hard it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care. But I'm here to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where both you and your pup can feel at ease. Thanks to being semi-retired, I'm pretty much around all day every day and can give the pups plenty of attention and companionship. They will enjoy 3–4 walks daily (or more if needed), along with dedicated playtime tailored to their individual personalities, energy levels, and preferences. All dogs are welcome on the furniture and are free to sleep in bed with me if they choose. Whether your pup loves to play, cuddle, explore, or simply relax, I'll do my best to make them feel right at home! I've had two rescue dogs of my own since 2021, both of whom I adopted when they were 5–6 years old. My experience with dog care goes back even further, helping care for a family member's senior dog and was heavily involved in their daily routine. I'm especially experienced with senior dogs, administering medications, basic grooming, and caring for pups who may be anxious, independent, mildly grumpy, or simply prefer having their own space respected. At the same time, I'm active and energetic enough to keep up with younger dogs and those young at heart. I'm happy to match their energy level and make sure they get the physical and mental stimulation they need. I am home pretty much all the time! I have so much free time I can literally give the dogs my attention all day haha I only leave for 1-2 hours at a time to run my errands. My two-story apartment has 3 friendly dogs (1 tiny, 1 small, 1 medium) and all dogs are allowed to roam freely. The basement where my bedroom is has a big living space that's perfect for playing. There's a grassy patch of land across the street where we take the dogs for potty breaks, and we usually take the dogs to Norris Square for their walks.
“Christie and Drew took amazing care of Jessie today! I was super nervous leaving my little girl for the first time but they both made the process very easy and comforting! The update photos were so cute and I was so glad to see Jessie having a good time and getting some socialization in. I will 100% book again if I’m ever in the area (:”

“Monee made our puppy and all of us so happy! Our puppy, Elijah, had the time of his life playing with her dog, Lucky, and the other dog she was watching! Monee sent us pictures and a video showing what a wonderful time Elijah was having! Her backyard is a dog's paradise! He felt right at home from the moment he walked in! He and Lucky played for the entire day! We feel so lucky to have found Monee and look forward to her watching Elijah each time we go out of town!”

About: I’ve had a passion for animals since I was a little girl. I always wanted a dog but wasn’t allowed. Growing up I had a few animals cats, Guinea pigs, ferrets, Gerbil, Bird and fish. I would always feed the stray cats in my neighborhood and cared for stray kittens. Unfortunately, now I can’t have cats because my son’s allergy. We have a wonderful dog now.. Her name is Kyra. She’s one years old. She is considered a teddy bear dog, her breed is call shih-poo. She brings me so much joy and comfort.. I love her dearly. Having her make me want more dogs. My best option is pet sitting. I’ve cared for many of my family pets. I love spending time with them and caring for them. I look forward to meeting many new buddies. I work at a school. I am currently not working for the summer. Right now, My availability is flexible until I go back to work I live in a house with a backyard not fenced. I have a porch that has a porch potty. I will also take your dog for walks occasionally walks.

Outside time when it’s nice out or just sit outside enjoying the environment
About: I’ve had all kinds of animals since I was a small child. We started off with cats, eventually owned dogs. I also have experience with birds, ferrets, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I even held a tarantula once! As an adult, I’ve also had cats, and dogs, and have experience house breaking puppies, and caring for new mama cats and their kittens. I feel animals are usually very drawn to me. I have years of providing comfort, engagement, nourishment, and administering medication for different animals. As a pre-teen, I once had a very sick cat that almost died, and I slowly brought her back to health. This, in turn, created an unbreakable bond between us. At the moment I’m currently going to school part time and taking a few classes, so my schedule is open, and I’m very flexible. Just let me know what your needs are. I don’t have a yard due to living in an apartment, but I have plenty of space in my home. I feel that trust, consistency, and patience and lots of love are top priority when your fur baby is with me.
“Cody had a nice time with Rhea and Argo (her dog). He’s pretty un-dog friendly, ignores them mostly, but Rhea took good care of him and Arlo gave him his space😂. Excellent communication. We have already booked with Rhea again!”

About: Hi! I’m Regina — a lifelong dog person (and former lawyer/tech executive) who understands what it’s like to travel and need care you can truly trust. I used to worry about whether my dogs were being fed well, getting enough exercise, and feeling safe and loved — so that’s exactly what I prioritize for every dog I board. I’m based in Chestnut Hill with a small, secure yard that’s especially helpful for older or mobility-limited dogs who need easy outdoor access. For active pups, we get outside for real walks and adventure time — I’m a runner and love long walks, so dogs in my care get more than quick potty breaks. I also build in enrichment and calm downtime (yes, I’ll play music for dogs) so they feel settled while you’re away. I’m safety-first, detail-oriented, and communicative, and I’ll send regular updates so you can relax knowing your dog is flourishing. Crate comfort: I have crates available if your dog is crate-trained, and I’m also happy to board dogs who aren’t — I’ll follow your routine and preferences. Optional add-on: Drop-off and pick-up are available for an additional fee. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m currently on sabbatical and prioritize daycare and overnight boarding. My days already include multiple outdoor breaks and longer walks, plus plenty of calm downtime at home, so dogs get a consistent rhythm of exercise, enrichment, meals, and rest. I use set drop-off and pick-up windows to keep care structured, safe, and predictable for every dog. I care for pets in my home only, where I can keep the environment calm, consistent, and closely supervised. I follow your instructions for feeding, routines, and any medications, and I build each day around regular potty breaks, outdoor time, and real walks (not just quick bathroom trips). I have a small yard for easy access—especially helpful for older or mobility-limited dogs—and I also prioritize enrichment and downtime so dogs feel settled. I have crates available for crate-trained dogs, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs who aren’t crate trained as well. I’ll send updates so you always know how your dog is doing.

“Yulia and Kevin were great with Nalu. They were very professional -- communication was great while setting up Nalu's stay and they provided tons of updates while we were away. We would definitely use them again.”

“Maryori was 12/10! Not only did she take in Cooper last minute she was very sweet and accommodating. She kept me updated on Cooper the entire time. You won’t regret keeping your pup with her. This was the first time but it won’t be the last I book with her!”

“Mary sent many photos and updates during my dog’s daycare stay with her. It looks like he had a great time with nice little adventures! I would book Mary as a sitter again, easy!”

“Electric & Crescent are awesome. Odin had a great time with them and their lovely cats! The communication was great, they're easy going, they sent pictures constantly on how Odin was doing and I couldn't be happier to see him enjoy playing and cuddling with them. Odie is definitely coming back! Thank you!”

“Shannon is fabulous! So kind and gentle with my somewhat anxious little pup. A very inviting environment that works well for my Lucy, plus a fenced in yard! (I’m kind of thinking I shouldn’t leave this review. I don’t want her to be booked the next time Lucy needs to be watched…)”

“Ceara took wonderful care of our little dog. She worked hard to follow my instructions, which I admit can be kind of complicated at times. The house was also nice and clean when I got home. I would definitely work with Ceara again.”
