My name is Kira and I'm the head Chopperone at the Chopperoni, named so after my weiner boy Chopper. I'm a semi-retired programmer who works in app development and consulting. I work from home about 0-10 hours a week, which allows me to pursue pet-sitting as a full-time hobby! All profits go towards new toys, treats, and supplies. We welcome all pups 40lbs and under, and here's a list of what you can expect from your baby's stay with us: • 3-4 daily walks (more if needed) • Dogs welcome on all furniture and sleep in bed with me • 10-20 photos PER DAY • Playtime tailored to your dog's preferences and energy level • Plenty of cuddles and affection for dogs who enjoy them • Respectful space for independent, shy, or low-contact dogs • Playmates for maximum socialization! There are 3 resident dogs and I host up to 3 boarders at a time. We are either napping, going for a walk, playing, or sleeping together 🤣🤣🤣 • Meet and Greets are required to ensure all dogs get along! As a devoted dog mom, I know how hard it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care. But I'm here to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where both you and your pup can feel at ease. Thanks to being semi-retired, I'm pretty much around all day every day and can give the pups plenty of attention and companionship. They will enjoy 3–4 walks daily (or more if needed), along with dedicated playtime tailored to their individual personalities, energy levels, and preferences. All dogs are welcome on the furniture and are free to sleep in bed with me if they choose. Whether your pup loves to play, cuddle, explore, or simply relax, I'll do my best to make them feel right at home! I've had two rescue dogs of my own since 2021, both of whom I adopted when they were 5–6 years old. My experience with dog care goes back even further, helping care for a family member's senior dog and was heavily involved in their daily routine. I'm especially experienced with senior dogs, administering medications, basic grooming, and caring for pups who may be anxious, independent, mildly grumpy, or simply prefer having their own space respected. At the same time, I'm active and energetic enough to keep up with younger dogs and those young at heart. I'm happy to match their energy level and make sure they get the physical and mental stimulation they need. I am home pretty much all the time! I have so much free time I can literally give the dogs my attention all day haha I only leave for 1-2 hours at a time to run my errands. My two-story apartment has 3 friendly dogs (1 tiny, 1 small, 1 medium) and all dogs are allowed to roam freely. The basement where my bedroom is has a big living space that's perfect for playing. There's a grassy patch of land across the street where we take the dogs for potty breaks, and we usually take the dogs to Norris Square for their walks.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals since I was a little girl. I always wanted a dog but wasn’t allowed. Growing up I had a few animals cats, Guinea pigs, ferrets, Gerbil, Bird and fish. I would always feed the stray cats in my neighborhood and cared for stray kittens. Unfortunately, now I can’t have cats because my son’s allergy. We have a wonderful dog now.. Her name is Kyra. She’s one years old. She is considered a teddy bear dog, her breed is call shih-poo. She brings me so much joy and comfort.. I love her dearly. Having her make me want more dogs. My best option is pet sitting. I’ve cared for many of my family pets. I love spending time with them and caring for them. I look forward to meeting many new buddies. I work at a school. I am currently not working for the summer. Right now, My availability is flexible until I go back to work I live in a house with a backyard not fenced. I have a porch that has a porch potty. I will also take your dog for walks occasionally walks.

About: I’ve had all kinds of animals since I was a small child. We started off with cats, eventually owned dogs. I also have experience with birds, ferrets, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I even held a tarantula once! As an adult, I’ve also had cats, and dogs, and have experience house breaking puppies, and caring for new mama cats and their kittens. I feel animals are usually very drawn to me. I have years of providing comfort, engagement, nourishment, and administering medication for different animals. As a pre-teen, I once had a very sick cat that almost died, and I slowly brought her back to health. This, in turn, created an unbreakable bond between us. At the moment I’m currently going to school part time and taking a few classes, so my schedule is open, and I’m very flexible. Just let me know what your needs are. I don’t have a yard due to living in an apartment, but I have plenty of space in my home. I feel that trust, consistency, and patience and lots of love are top priority when your fur baby is with me.

I care for pets in my home only, where I can keep the environment calm, consistent, and closely supervised. I follow your instructions for feeding, routines, and any medications, and I build each day around regular potty breaks, outdoor time, and real walks (not just quick bathroom trips). I have a small yard for easy access—especially helpful for older or mobility-limited dogs—and I also prioritize enrichment and downtime so dogs feel settled. Very responsive, easy to work with, kept me up to date with pictures/videos of their walks and daily activities! We had a meet/greet with their pups before the visit, made sure he was up-to-date on shots/vet appts, and asked great questions before the visit to get to know Grizzly better.
