About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.

About: Experienced Vet Tech • Animal Caregiver I’ve been working with animals since 2017, beginning as a manager at a boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in Livermore, where I also cared for Alameda County Sheriff’s animals. Every temperament I met taught me something new and ultimately led me into veterinary medicine in 2019. Since then, I’ve worked in veterinary hospitals throughout Danville/Blackhawk, Fremont, and Pleasanton. After years in vet med, I’ve realized what I love most is simply caring for the animals themselves. If they want to play fetch until nap time, consider it done. If we want to go for a run through the neighborhood or a walk on a nearby trail, I’m ready to go.

About: My experience with animals goes far beyond pet sitting. I began volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center at age 10 and continued through age 16, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. I’ve also worked in multiple veterinary clinics as a surgical assistant and spent a year working in animal control. These experiences have given me hands-on experience handling animals, recognizing changes in behavior, following care instructions, and staying calm in unexpected situations. I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and routines. Whether your dog needs an active day, extra patience, medication or special care, or simply a safe and comfortable place to relax, I’m committed to providing attentive, knowledgeable care and treating your pet like one of my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and is something I genuinely enjoy. I have the flexibility to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care rather than treating it as something I squeeze into a busy schedule. I’m intentional about keeping each pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, including their feeding, exercise, and rest schedules. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I don’t think there was a year in my life where I did not have a dog to help take care of! I have taken care of small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs! We also had a lot of other animals while I was growing up. I’ve taken care of birds, fish, reptiles, and even rabbits. So I am happy to take care of other pets as well if you have them and we can talk prices! Depending on the needs of your pets, I will form my schedule around taking care of them! As of right now this is my main job but as soon as I find another job this will become something I do on the side for a passion hobby. I will always start by asking the owner of the pets to explain their needs and wants before implying anything that I would do on my own. (Customer needs and wants come first) I have fun playing with the animals dogs and cats alike. So if they have favorite toys if I am house sitting then I will let them have fun with that! If I am walking dogs I tend to keep a steady pace so that the dogs get good healthy exercise.

About: I love caring for dogs of all ages and sizes! My family calls me the “dog whisperer” and I’m highly reliable and can almost always meet your time requirements for check-ins and walks! I pay attention to detail in case your dog has to take medication or has other restrictions (diet, joints, etc.). I currently work full-time as a Law Enforcement Professional. I am typically working Tues-Fri 7a-530p. I am available to drop in and care for your fur babies any time around that schedule with proper notice. I will only walk your fur baby on the requested route should there be one, and for the requested time. During check-ins, I will make sure to clean up any messes made by your fur baby upon arrival and before I leave. If there are any special instructions regarding the care of your fur baby, I will be sure to adhere to those as well.

About: I have years of animal shelter experience, so I have been trained to interact with animals of all sorts of temperaments. I've been an animal love my whole life and am usually the first person my friends think to call when they go out of town to care for their furry children (: I've had at least 1 dog in my life from the time I was 8- so my daily routine has always consisted of including a little pal to care for and spend quality time with. I treat any animal under my care the way they should be treated- like a family member who requires belly rubs, treats, and high pitched conversation as if their life depends on it (; In all seriousness I treat all animals with all the TLC they deserve.

I have raised and trained a labradoodle puppy who is now 1.5 years old. I am currently studying biology at UC Davis. I am available after 5 pm on weekdays and on the weekends. About: I've been housesitting since 2010, mainly cats and dogs. Multi-pet houses don't bother me and I'm good at keeping with your fur kids' schedules. I have and RVT license that is current and have been an RVT for over 10 years. I took a break from housesitting to work at animal hospitals, including a 24-hour critical care hospital in the ICU. Medications and medical treatments are no problem for me. I have an open schedule and am comfortable with either staying at your home for your pet's comfort, or I can visit everyday to make sure they are cared for. I adjust to their wants and needs and stick to their schedule. I'm low stress and understand that sometimes pets just need to warm up to you. As for my personal pets, there's four cats with totally different personalities that run the house (I just live there).

About: I am currently an animal care assistant at a pet hotel where my main task is walking and taking care of animals straying with us! I also have been a vet assistant for a little under a year now but have handled numerous animals in my time!
