“Joe was so kind and easy to work with! He made me feel very secure leaving my cats for a trip out of town and checked in daily. My cats loved him!”

“David was there, and I came home to a happy cat ??⬛”

“I struggled with how to care for my two cats, a senior & a junior, while I went on vacation. Violet, my eldest cat, had just been diagnosed with kidney/bladder issues and required a stringent schedule of medication. I was completely put at ease after my meet & greet Kaitlynn. Her attitude & attention to detail were both professional & comforting. The daily updates were insightful & showed her familiarity with my "kids" and their needs. Our first experience with Rover has been a pleasure. Just knowing that there are dedicated sitters like Kaitlynn available at a time of need is a true relief.”

“Katie was extremely thorough and timely in her check-ins on our cat, Grits. Every update was thoughtful and reassuring and we came home to a happy cat. Really appreciated that he got some playtime and attention while we were away and made it so much easier for us to have a relaxing first family vacation! Thanks again, Katie!”

“Camila has been great these last couple of weeks. She has been prompt with her service and communicated any issues right away so we can work through them while she was there. Will be using her for any future pet sitting needs.”

“Excellent service. This was my first time using Rover and I'm very pleased with Emma's communication and perseverance getting Rocco outside”

About: I am very loyal and patient with clients fur babies. I enjoy meeting new clients and getting to know about their pets. I always believe that phrase, "treat any pet as if it was your own". I am currently unemployed and am pretty flexiable to work with the clients schedule. If and when I find a full time position, I will make sure to give advance notice to my clients and we can schedule accordingly. I am very intuitive on how animals respond to both their owners and the world. I will make sure to take as many cute pictures and videos when watching your fur baby.

“Alexa was so communicative and great with my cat! He takes oral medication and she handled it so well. Thank you, Alexa!! I felt very comfortable leaving my cat home alone for a week knowing you were checking on him.”

“Liz was terrific and really made my wife and I feel comfortable leaving our two kitties in her care while we went away for a long weekend. She paid close attention to our instructions and made a lot of effort to get our shy cats to respond to her visits. They were tended to on time and she was great with communicating with us on their status. She even helped us feed our koi fish friends too! I’d highly recommend Liz for your pet sitting needs and we will plan to use her service again.”

About: I've always been an animal lover through & through. Much to my father's dismay (and my delight), my mother brought home 2 dogs for me and my sister between the years of kindergarten & 2nd grade. As I grew up, I took on more & more responsibilities related to caring for our new canine family members. My husband & I don't currently have a dog mostly due to my work schedule (for that reason we have 2 lovely, social cats, who we adore), so I get my fill by frequently dog-sitting for my parents and sister. Through caring for my parent's dog, I learned about more advanced medication administration and other special needs. I'm innately a genuinely caring & affectionate person who will go beyond the staples of basic care and will make sure your pup feels loved & cherished, like a family member. I work as per diem occupational therapist in home health. I treat residents all over Bergen County, and I make my own schedule, so I'm flexible as long as I know who I'm seeing & where I need to be at least a few days in advance. I am a huge proponent of the Meet & Greet (M&G) session. This is a step that I feel should not be missed, as it helps to minimize the risk of any hiccups, so you can fully enjoy your time spent out of town! At the M&G, you'll show me how I can safely enter your home, where the food and other essential supplies are kept, and you will be encouraged to share info re: your doggy's daily routine, i.e. feeding & play preferences, specific behaviors I should know about, medications if needed, rules re: treats, or if other equipment like crates and/or ramps are necessary, as well as what to do in case of an emergency. Most importantly, it also gives your pup the opportunity to meet me prior to the first dog-sitting session, which I feel is an important exercise in trust-building.

“Big thank you to Angelica for taking care of my cats over the Christmas holiday! She was affectionate and gave the boys attention that I really wanted them to have over Christmas. Additionally, she was extremely diligent and fastidious with the bowls and the cat food and litter box.”

“Emily did an amazing job caring for my kitties, grateful to have found a sitter who is able to stay at my home with my pets while I’m out of town!”

“Christine has been such a blessing for us. We recently brought into our home a wonderful shelter dog who needed a lot of love and attention, and was initially suffering from severe separation anxiety whenever someone would leave the room. It has also been more than 15 years since we've had a dog and needless to say we were rusty. From day 1 of the meet and greet with Christine, our dog Dot immediately felt comfortable around her, our kids listened intently to her suggestions, explanations and stories of her own going through similar experiences. She's provided consistent advice and support (outside the formal drop-in/walking sessions we pay for). She has her own dogs and fosters dogs as well... and it's clear she does not do this for the money, but purely for her love of dogs. She posts updates during every visit, sends pics, cleans up if there's been an accident, and provides ideas/suggestions when she can. I highly recommend her!”

About: Hi there, I'm Gillian! I'm relatively new to Rover, but not to pet-sitting and walking. I am the go-to pet sitter for family, friends, and neighbors since they understand that I am reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and, most of all, loving when looking after their pets. Growing up, I learned the responsibilities surrounding pet care thanks to my childhood best friend - my German Shepherd, Sami. Now, I care for my goofy senior Black Lab mix, Ringo, who loves to sunbathe, as well as my sister's dog, Allen, and cat, Milkshake. I'm extending my services (drop-in visits, house-sits, and walking) to the local Rover community as I genuinely love looking after animals. Hiring me to look after your pet ensures that they will receive the best care experience. I am communicative and will send photos and updates during my visit. I'm also intuitive and understand well their body language and how to help them feel comfortable around someone new if that's something they struggle with. I love to provide snacks, belly rubs, playtime, and cuddles. As mentioned, my dog Ringo is a senior (13.5 years) with multiple health needs. He's a bit stubborn when it comes to oral medication, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning. I also have experience caring for dogs with severe anxiety and helping them feel safe. You know your pet best, so if there are any health or behavior patterns I should be aware of, please let me know the best practices and I'll be sure to follow the protocol. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I promise they will be in good hands. **please note I am actually based in Stony Point but set my radius on Rover to stay on this side of the river. I have a flexible schedule over the coming weeks, so I can be available to take care of your furry friends at generally any time on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. My senior citizen dog (13.5 y/o) has several health needs to accommodate for, and I'd be happy to do the same for your pet(s) to ensure they are healthy and safe. I can also maintain feeding schedules, any necessary oral medications with food or drinks, and grooming habits. I generally appreciate a list of all the note-worthy checkpoints to take care of. Depending on the service you book, I am flexible and adaptable to meet your pets needs. I have looked after dogs who suffer severe anxiety and earned the trust & respect of angry, territorial cats. I will work gently and progressively to ensure that your pet trusts and feels comfortable around me.

About: Hi! My name is Emilie and I have over 20 years of experience caring for pets. I currently have two cats of my own, but in the past I’ve had dogs as well! I’m open to taking care of both cats and dogs. I truly love both and would make the effort to make sure that your pet has everything he/she needs to be comfortable during their stay. To me, being a pet parent means being open, loving, and flexible. I would say that my pet management style is fun and laid back, but also firm when need be. I am available to meet for a consultation prior to care-taking. My schedule is flexible, and my home has a fenced in yard! I look forward to meeting you and your pet! Emilie :) I work full time from home, so will have plenty of time to walk and care for your pet. I enjoy taking pets for walks as needed and am very active. I have a fenced in yard and live in a pet friendly private home. Pets can enjoy the comfort of a quiet, safe home. My children are at school during the day, and I work in a quiet, remote job.
