“Carolina took such good care of our two dogs. They had so much fun playing with her dog as well. She sent daily updates about how they were doing which was perfect since we were so far away from home for over a week. We really appreciated her taking care of them. We highly recommend her loving care.”

“Gabriela did an amazing job taking care of our Diesel for 4 days while we were on vacation. She was caring, responsible, and made sure Diesel was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. She kept us updated, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Diesel and treated him like her own. We came back to a happy and well-cared-for dog! I highly recommend Gabriela to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and dependable dog sitter. We would definitely have her take care of Diesel again! ❤️🐾”

“Elizabeth & Oleg took wonderful care of May over Memorial Day weekend! They were fantastic with her and kept us updated throughout the weekend with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear May was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We came home to a very happy pup! We would absolutely trust Elizabeth & Oleg to watch May again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, reliable dog sitters.”
“Mike was absolutely wonderful\! He picked up Judge right on time and delivered him safely and on schedule\. He was incredibly caring and attentive, taking Judge for walks and making sure he was comfortable and well cared for throughout the entire trip\. Judge is a big boy—about five times the size of most dogs—and he slobbers quite a bit\! Despite that, Mike made him feel completely comfortable, safe, and loved\. I truly appreciate the exceptional care Mike gave Judge\. I highly recommend him to any dog owner looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable\. Thank you, Mike\!”
“Lieb and his family were friendly and a dog loving family. They kept me updated all day long with videos and pics. It felt as if I was not even away from my Daisy. Will definitely book with Lieb again.”
“Heather and her family were so sweet with my Buzz! I’ve had the same dog sitter for years, so I was nervous when I suddenly needed to find someone new. From the start, they were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive with him, which gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to truly enjoy my trip. They also have an amazing backyard where Buzz could run around, play, and make himself at home. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend Heather and will absolutely be using her again!”
“Cathy: I want to thank you so much for taking care of Brodie and Shay ! Their few days with you from 5/5/2025-5/8/2025 were amazing. They came home happy and content and loved while I was gone. Your an amazing BABY sitter and so kind. I appreciate all your warmth and care when I was away. They will be back to you the next time I am out of Town. YOU are the best! Thank you so much, again,”
“We had a wonderful first experience with Turin! Tilly needs to be the only dog, so finding someone who could give her individual attention and make her feel comfortable was very important to us. Turin took the time to sit with us while Tilly explored her surroundings and adjusted at her own pace. She had such a calm, kind way with Tilly, and we felt very comfortable leaving her in her care. It was obvious that Tilly enjoyed spending time with Turin, and she came home happy after having a great time. It means so much to find someone you can trust with your dog, especially when they have individual needs. We are so happy we found Turin. We would absolutely recommend her!”
“I feel bad for myself when my dogs have a good time without me. - but THEY LOVE GOING TO DEB’S! An overnight and no problems, no starving themselves, no crying all night. Just a regular day only without me. How lucky am I to have access to this help for my furr babies (and for my soul)!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Macopin can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Macopin home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Macopin.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
