If you’re wondering why there's not a lot of reviews in my profile it is because a lot of my clients which, I have many, & repeat clients have come from work or word of mouth & aren’t on this app. But if you wanted some more references I can definitely give you them. I have a large fenced in yard that your dogs will love playing in. There is also a-lot of places in my neighborhood that I can take them for walks. I have been working with animals for years now as mentioned, whether it be as a vet tech or pet sitting, and I absolutely love it!! I do pet sitting/ dog walking outside of Rover as previously mentioned again if you wanted more references (than the 2 reviews I have on my page here I would be happy to provide you with them). I will take great care of your animals as if they are your children, which let's face it they basically are. I can take care of any special needs or elderly dogs or cats( I just can’t board cats but can house sit or do drop in visits for them due to someone who lives upstairs from me is highly allergic), give injections,&’ and any type of medication. It's one of the pluses of being a vet tech and pet sitting, not only because I get to work more with the animals I love so much, but because I am trained to know what to do in certain situations if need be, and what behaviors to look for if god forbid something was off or going on with your pet. This hasn't happened yet and I hope that it doesn't but I am always prepared just in case. And if they need anything at all more than I can do myself , I can go to the animal hospital with them (whether that be the one you bring them too or call the doctor/owner of the practice I work for if need be ; whichever you’d prefer) to make sure they are getting the best care and love while in my care. I am open to all different breeds and ages of dogs & cats, including puppies/kittens and senior animals as well. I am always able and willing to watch other little pets such as Guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, and other little fur babies like those. I can house sit if it’s just for a few days on a weekend -Friday night thru Monday night sometimes Tuesdays depending on the weekend because I work every other Tuesday 3pm- about 7:30ish. Otherwise days I work I can stop by before work, depending on location during my lunch break, and after work if it’s for just drop in visits or dog walking/ cat care.. like I mentioned earlier, I do work every other Tuesday and if I’m working that Tuesday then I am off that Thursday. (I know it’s a bit confusing) but my days off I’m available to stop in or dog walk more times per day even when I have work. But aside from the Tuesdays I work, I only ever really work till 4:30-5pm. The every other Tuesday I work 3pm-7-7:30pm(ish) so I could drop in, in the morning, before work, and after work. I can explain it to you better if you reach out to me for a pet sitting/boarding job if you are confused by my schedule because as I said it is quite confusing. Any other questions you may have regarding anything please reach out to me and I try to respond asap if not right away! 😊 The only time it may take me a little bit longer to respond is if I’m at work but even then I try to respond very quickly definitely within 8hrs of getting the message which as I said would only be if I was at work. I have a nice big fenced in back yard where they are able to run around and play. I am unfortunately unable to board cats just dogs and puppies. I do not have any animals of my own right now ( unfortunately due to not being able to have them where I live but I am able to board here one pet or if it’s say two dogs same family) so it would just be your pet with me to receive all my attention and love if they were staying with me at my home. If they need help (meds for older pets or any pet with medical issues/ if they need help going upstairs to go outside not a problem either esp since there’s only 3 or 4 steps up/down into the backyard. Or if you use a crate for them for sleeping at night that’s not a problem either. Any rules you have set for your pet I will follow them. For example if you do not want them on the couch or bed then then I’d follow your guidelines or if you like them to be walked there’s plenty of places I can take them for walks on too. It’s of course whatever you prefer when it comes to anything regarding the care of your fur baby!! If I am house sitting of course same thing however you normally do things with you’re pets I will follow (ex: not allowed on couches or beds; anything at all that you prefer or do with them I will do the same)!!
About: My love for animals began at a very young age. At the young age of 3, I began riding horses and competing, under the training of my mom. Horses were my entire life and I learned all that I could at a young age. I was handling these 1200+ pound animals by myself and doing all I could with them! In 2016, we moved to a farm where we were able to keep our horses and it also had a dog kennel which was always filled with dogs. From then I started watching how things were run and I got to help handle many different breeds and sizes. As I got older I started to do more for the kennel and got to watch/help administer medication to the older pups. Every morning, before school and before bed, I would go down to the kennel and check on the dogs, refill waters, and give treats! We also had goats, sheep, alpacas, cows, peacocks, chickens, ducks, pigs, and so much more on the farm. I was able to help raise babies and care for all of the animals. It was so amazing to work with all these different animals for years and learn all I could about them! I would go out every morning before school and after school to move the animals from the barn to their paddocks outside. It was my favorite way to start the day. In September 2019, My mom brought home two 8 week old puppies Cinnamon & Pumpkin. They are Toy Australian Shepherds, who are extremely energetic and very strong considering they are small. I started walking them 3 times a day and loved it. Not only was it great exercise for both of us, but I noticed such a difference in their demeanor. From then on, I wanted to do all I could with dogs. In 2020, I started helping a close friend of mine, Alexis, who owns a pet care business (Alexis’s Home Pet Care). I would go on walks with her daily and help as much as possible. She taught me so much about the dog walking side of the business because as we know, it’s not always as easy as it seems. I helped work with the easier dogs and then the reactive dogs as well. Dogs are all different and they all can be triggered by different things, whether it be other dogs passing by, humans, etc. For almost two years, I did all I could to learn everything possible with a great mentor behind me. In March 2022, I felt ready to venture off on my own and I began Devon’s Pet Care. I started with just very few walks a week, and then started to really learn more and started caring for pets overnight. It’s such an amazing feeling to be able to grow with these fur babies. Eventually, my business took off and I felt so happy and accomplished because this was my dream job. I have had the opportunity to work with some very amazing pets and I even have had the chance to have some human-aggressive dogs trust me. Although I have my business, I still work with Alexis, and as she got more into boarding, I am able to help her when she needs it. She is always there to give me advice when needed, as well I am even able to give her advice now. In May of 2023, I looked more into pet boarding and I ended up being able to set up a great kennel-free environment for dogs. It seemed people wanted to stop using “kennel facilities” as the dogs don’t get out as much as they are typically used to. I am so lucky to get the chance to care for amazing dogs and work with some amazing families to make sure their fur babies get the correct care. I now have 30 horses and compete nationally with them as well as being able to raise foals. I helped my mom raise over 10 foals this past season and some were bottle-fed to help get a little start prior to them figuring out how to nurse. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my new puppy, Gemma as well as riding my my horses and spending time with them. I also recently joined my local fire department as a volunteer firefighter. I love being able to help the community! This journey has been amazing, and I am so excited for the future in this field! I do this full time, so your pups will always have the attention they deserve when you are unable to be there for them. I take pride in the care I offer to all pets! Dogs who don’t have a fenced yard will go for at least 3 walks per day with overnight stays, dogs who have a fenced yard will go for at least 1 walk a day during an overnight stay, or drop in visits. Our boarding dogs participate in our doggy day care program, and all dogs will be grouped according to size, for safety!

About: I offer compassion, patience and understanding. My experience with dogs began as it does for many when I was a child. My grandfather was a dog trainer. He often brought home stray and injured animals. From him, I gained a wealth of knowledge and respect for animals. Throughout my life I have always had various breeds of dog for companionship and have been fascinated with their behavior and psychology. I have been fortunate to experience first hand the stubbornness of English Bulldogs, the hyper activity of Labrador retrievers, and the gentle weight of mastiff's. Beyond the breed specific traits, I found that each and every dog stands as an individual. Just like people, they all have a unique character and needs. I sincerely hope that you may consider me to care for your companion. I am available after 9:00am weekdays and weekends. However special accommodations can be made. My work is remote and allows for a very flexible work schedule. Your dog sees the world through its nose and as such, we will take our time on walks to let them sniff to their heart’s content. Heavy leash pullers are welcome too. During in home care, I adhere to your dog’s daily routines and schedule of feedings, walks, outdoor breaks and medicines when required. Ample playtime and belly rubs are included at no extra charge. Extended park walks and nature hikes can be scheduled to expose your dog to stimulating new environments and experiences.
About: I have life long experience taking care of dogs, between my own personal dogs, to my siblings dogs as well as close friends and family. I have this connection with animals that I can't describe which makes me the favorite uncle amongst my furry nieces and nephews. I have experience training my own dogs and my siblings dogs as well in the past. I also have experience with elderly dogs. I have a full and open schedule during the week and I am flexible with time. The weekends can be discussed further upon request of service.
