About: Former vet assistant and kennel worker who ran an animal care business specializing in horses, German Shepherd breeding, and compassionate pet sitting for cats and dogs. I maintain a regular work schedule but offer flexible pet sitting hours to accommodate your needs, providing reliable, attentive, and personalized care for your pets anytime. At my home, pets enjoy a secure fenced yard, horse stabling, and kennels for boarding. When visiting clients’ homes, safety and comfort in familiar surroundings are always prioritized.
“Kaylee is great, my anxious little dog warmed up pretty quick and was always happy to see her, as was kitty. She communicates well also. Thanks for taking care of her Kaylee! I will 100% book with you again.”

About: I’ve taken care of all of my pets since a very young age. I love every animal I see as if they are my own! Animals bring me so much joy and I wish for them to have the same happiness. I try to pay attention to body language to know what they are telling me especially when we do not know each other yet. I’ve worked as a dog nutritionist at a place called Must Love Dogs (which I certainly do!) I always want to learn more, do more, and constantly be better for the animals in the world even if I’m only able to impact a few. I have experience with dogs who need a lot of support physically (wheelchairs, lift up harnesses, bathroom assistance) as my own German Shepherd needed all of these things later in life. I may have lost count of how many times I was peed on or had to clean the floors, but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. I hope to honor him everyday and share my love with other fur babies as much as I can. My love for animals is endless. My goal is to be able to fill my days with all sorts of animals I can love on and bring joy to. I am available any day or time for drop in visits, playtime, feedings, and walks! I currently have a dog and a cat. I take my dog for walks and try to provide plenty of play time, snuggles, and other forms of enrichment for him every day. My kitty is still young and loves playtime, being brushed, and always wants snuggles in the morning which I am always happy to provide! My pets are my babies and every animal I see automatically becomes a baby. I had a special needs German shepherd who was in a wheelchair and needed a ton of special care and attention. I’m not afraid to do the dirty work that pets need to thrive and be happy whether that’s my own pets or my clients. I’d treat them as my own.
About: I’ve worked professionally as a horse trainer, wildlife rehabilitator, zookeeper, animal cruelty investigator and farm animal sanctuary manager. As of 2026 I now offer sitting and boarding for dogs and cats in my home or yours. In my home, your dog or cat would have the space exclusively to themselves as there are no other animals or kids in the house. I can also service horse farms including feeding, cleaning and overnight stays. I know how much trust it takes to leave your animals with someone else, and I don't take that lightly. I guarantee that your animals will feel safe and comfortable with me, and you'll rest easy knowing they're in experienced hands. I look forward to working with you! I work mostly from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, outdoor time in my fenced yard, and companionship without long absences. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable experience based on each pet’s personality and needs. In my home, dogs have a peaceful environment and access to my fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time. Because I work mostly from home and don’t have other animals right now, I’m able to give them consistent attention, companionship, and a relaxed setting. For cats, I have a private bedroom available for those who may feel uneasy at first or need their own space. The room includes a cat tower, cozy cubbies, and a full bed with soft blankets arranged into comfortable nesting spots. This gives them a quiet place to decompress and adjust at their own pace, while still receiving attentive care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal feeding, exercise, and care routine so things feel familiar and low stress. I’m respectful of both the pet and the home, and I’m attentive to details like energy level, mood, and overall wellbeing. I also provide regular updates so you know your pet is comfortable and doing well.

“Lacy is so friendly and very responsive! She reached out when there were questions too. My cats were happy and fed while we were away for a trip. We even got lots of photos during the visits! Would definitely have her watch my pets again.”

“Maria was absolutely fantastic! She took care of our two kitties (one diabetic and needing insulin twice a day and the other chronically terrified of strangers). She was in touch regarding clarification on the medicine - which was very much appreciated - and gave us updates throughout her visits including that our little scared cat actually accepted pets from her on the last day (we were shocked and thrilled!). We look forward to using Maria's services again in the future.”

“Would highly recommend Hadlie for all your pet-sitting needs. She is thorough, kind, and a true animal lover. She will treat your pets as she would her own. We came home after a week to a happy, healthy kitty and we never had to worry while away.”

“Autumn was excellent at communicating and sending photos and updates of our cat while we were gone. She followed directions perfectly and our cat was calm and happy when we got home.”

“Alexis was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend booking with her! She is super attentive to your fur babies & treats them as her own! She took my Leo on a walk & sent me the best check-in pictures! She did an 11/10 job & i truly suggest you book with her in the future! Thank you so much Alexis for being super kind, and helpful🫶”

About: I have cared for pets of all kinds since I was very young. I am passionate about animals, especially rescues and senior pets. I promise to look after your pet as if it were my own. I am currently working as a barista full time from 7am-2pm. My schedule is flexible according to your pets needs. In the past, I have been able to overnight house sit for clients and work full time with no issues. Of course, this varies from pet to pet. I have had many pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and fish. I have worked with senior dogs, young dogs, and dogs with special needs.
About: Hi there, I have been involved with dog care since my childhood; growing up as a volunteer with various rescues and animal shelters, to fostering, to adopting and owning my own dogs. I have dealt with many breeds and types of dogs and personalities throughout the years. Unfortunately since my work schedule changes too frequently, I cannot accept bookings more than two weeks in advance. I am great for someone who needs a last minute, short stay booking (1-4 days) at a low affordable cost. If you have a well behaved dog, low-medium energy, that needs a safe, clean, and loving home for a few days while you’re gone, I’m the Rover for you 🙂 I live in an apartment so ideally my home is best suited for small to medium size dogs that are house trained, well behaved, and low-medium energy. I can unfortunately only accept large dogs if they are low energy, behaved, and house trained I do not have a yard but I do have plenty of safe walking space around the neighborhood. During the day, potty breaks are every 4 hours. If your dog is crate trained, that is a plus for overnight sleeping to avoid any issues of being out roaming the apartment without supervision. I am otherwise home and attentive to your dog. Communication is important. I respond quickly and will send daily updates. I’m only charging $20 a night because I know how hard it is to find safe, dependable, and affordable care, especially last minute. So I want to open my home when my schedule allows to help other dog owners I don’t require a meet and greet ahead of time but have no problem if you would like to have one (in person or FaceTime) and see if my place is the right fit for your dog when you’re gone. For the safety of your dog, I do not feed anything but your provided dog food and provided treats. I do not feed human food or my own treats as I don’t want to risk any stomach issues Thank you for your time and consideration
About: I am an animal care professional with a degree in animal studies and over a decade of pet sitting experience. I have worked extensively with dogs and cats in environments such as boarding facilities, training centers, shelters and more. I am also familiar working with various exotics. Animal care is my passion and as your sitter I can guarantee the best possible care for your pet. I have a very flexible schedule. I can come for quick drop-ins, such as potty breaks and feedings throughout the day. Or I can do longer visits for activities such as walks, playtime and cuddle time. If your pet is not much of a cuddler I can also just come by to be a loving human presence for a few hours while they go about their day. I am available practically anytime on specified days. While caring for your pet in your home I will respect your household and follow all of your specified pet care instructions. I will make sure to clean up after your pet whenever necessary and use the specified leashes, collars, toys, food, and spaces as instructed. I am here to carry out their normal routine as best I can while caring for them as if they were my own.
About: Growing up we always had pets in my home. We’ve always had 1-3 cats and had a dog once (the heartbreak of her loss kept us from getting another). I’ve had the responsibility of walking my dog 3 times a day, feeding the dog and the cats twice a day, and spending extended periods of time with them. I recently moved to A2 from Chicago and am working full-time as an occupational therapist in a hospital, looking for a part-time gig. I would love to look after others’ pets during my free time from my studies. I am a very calm and detail-oriented individual. I live with my partner of 4 years and my senior cat I’ve had for 19 years. I love being with both cats and dogs and am looking forward to tending to their needs and providing a very fun, welcoming, and loving experience! I work full-time during the week but am available for early morning visits before work, evening visits after work, and most weekends. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see if we can find a time that works! I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I’m experienced caring for cats and dogs of different ages and personalities, including senior pets. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule, administer medications if needed, and provide regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I believe in individualized love, attention, and activity for each and every animal! I have two sweet cats at home who are my entire world. I also have 9 years of experience with my own dog (training included) and 3 years of experience as a dog walker. Comfortable with special needs, medication administration, etc. Available most weekday mornings and evenings. I work remotely several days of the week and may be available for mid-day visits depending on my schedule. Usually open availability on weekends. I will follow whatever safety protocol you have set for your animals, whether that be crating, baby gates, setting the alarms, etc. My priority is that you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Macon. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
