“Sarah was fantastic! She was so sweet with our three girls at the meet & greet, and they were in great spirits when we came home. Our American Bulldog, Boxer mix, and elderly kitty cat all loved her! She kept us updated while we were away and left our house clean and secure. So thankful for her comprehensive care over the holiday.”
“Michelle is fantastic. First and foremost, she is a genuinely good person who has an affinity for animals. Coordinating with Michelle was easy and she was extremely flexible. It was my first time leaving one of my boys who is extremely attached to me. That was not without its hiccups, but Michelle kept me posted and took great care of my boys.”

“Got it! Here’s a more natural version with your note about being repeat customers: ⸻ We’ve used Kimmie previously, and there’s a reason we keep coming back—she’s amazing. She takes such good care of our dogs, always making sure they get their medicine, playing with them, and giving them tons of love and attention. It’s clear she really cares about them, and they’re always happy and relaxed when we get home. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

“I appreciate Katelyn so much! She did everything exactly how we agreed to, so I was able to rest easy and not worry about my dogs while traveling. She is trustworthy and very attuned to dogs, showing great care and interest in them. I recommend her services and will be asking for her help again.”

“Dorian was terrific. From the moment we met him we felt confident that our kitty and our home would be well taken care of. He did not disappoint. We would gladly have him stay anytime we are away.”

“Brittany was able to come last minute to watch my dog while I was out of town for the day. She was very patient and understanding of my old boy and did everything that I asked.”

“Sam took great care of Ellie and sent many updates on how their time together was going. She followed Ellie’s routine perfectly, was very communicative and on time, would book her again for sure!”

About: I’ve been a vet tech since 2021 and am currently continuing my education through the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. I currently work 2 days per week at an emergency/specialty hospital in Austin. I’m very comfortable caring for pets of all ages and needs, including seniors, anxious pets, and those requiring medications or a little extra support. I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals throughout my life, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and fish. I’m Fear Free certified and trained in low-stress handling, and I always prioritize making pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable in my care. I’m also RECOVER CPR certified, which means I’m trained in pet CPR and emergency life support. Whether your pet needs medications, extra patience, or just a calm and caring presence, they’ll be in capable hands with me! I have mostly open availability for drop-in visits, house sitting, and night boarding at my own home (reserved only for feline friends). My schedule includes mornings, evenings, and weekends. Pet care is already a huge part of my daily life, so fitting in visits and maintaining consistent routines for your pets comes naturally to me. I do my best to be flexible and will always communicate clearly about availability to make sure your pet receives reliable and consistent care! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In your home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while providing attentive, low-stress care. I’m trained to monitor for any signs of illness or discomfort and can confidently administer medications, including oral, topical, and injectable treatments if needed. If boarding in my home, I live in a spacious two-story house with a large, fenced backyard. I also have a secure catio for supervised outdoor time for kitties who enjoy it. I always introduce pets slowly and thoughtfully to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in a new environment.
About: I have been working with dogs for 4+ year’s professionally! I have been babysitting friends and families cats as well and have experience medicating them and am known for my patience! CAN HOST 2 DOGS ! Can host 2 cats! Currently unemployed as I am pregnant (out of sick part of pregnancy) so I am available and accessible 24/7! I have two pets! A dog and a cat and they both get along well with all animals they have met. I know some dogs don’t enjoy the company of other dogs and I am willing to take care of these pups to! I have worked with manyyy cats in my life and have definitely learned how to keep them comfy/get them to relax around me. My cat is such a baby and lets me clip his nails with no issues, brush his teeth and give him baths if needed.
“Jeremy was excellent with our three dogs over the holiday weekend. Despite the bad weather, they got plenty of exercise, and the house and yard were very clean when we returned. We would definitely have Jeremy back to watch our dogs.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a former veterinary technician with six years of experience in equine medicine, I have cared for a wide variety of animals in both professional and personal settings. I have lifelong experience owning and handling hunting dogs, giant breeds, cats, horses, and other farm animals. My background includes administering medications, monitoring animals with special needs, caring for senior pets, and safely and confidently handling horses. I also have experience managing multi-pet households and navigating behavioral challenges, including in-home dog-to-dog aggression, with a focus on safety, prevention, and stress reduction for all animals involved. My schedule is very flexible, and I typically offer drop-in visits in the morning and evening, with each visit lasting about 45 minutes to an hour. If your pet needs additional time, extra potty breaks, medication visits, or a more customized care schedule, I'm happy to work with you to find a routine that fits their needs. A quick note on pricing: my standard overnight house-sitting rate starts at $80 per night for dogs and $50 per night for cats. That said, I understand that many families have multiple pets, and costs can add up quickly. Unless you have a very large number of animals or pets requiring intensive medical care or specialized attention, I typically cap my overnight rates at around $100–$150 per night. If you have multiple pets, horses, farm animals, or a unique care situation, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to discuss your specific needs and create a customized rate that is fair for everyone.

“Gabriella was wondering with my dogs and taking incredible care of my home during her stay. She sent plenty of photos and updates, and I could tell that the dogs were at peace with her love and comfort. She is the best!”
About: I’ve pet sat for family and friends for many years. From small dogs to Pit bulls and Huskies . Puppies who are still learning how to walk on leashes to senior dogs who are just wanting to cuddle..all dogs deserve kindness and love even if they aren’t my own. I work full time Monday- Thursday, and have my 2 year old doggo with me when I’m working. I wanted to help those who needs someone to walk their dog on Fridays while they’re at work or away for the weekend for business or a quick trip. At home my dog is like my baby. I did a lot of dog training with her when we first got her, so I do know the basics. With others dogs, I want to be able to gain their trust and for them to realize that even though their humans aren’t home they can be trusted with a kind hearted and safe person. Also who doesn’t love to get pets, cuddles and treats ?!
“Robert was amazing!! What a wonderful blessing he was for our Matilda, who is 14 and needs meds and lots of love, as well as taking care of our home while we were gone for over 2 weeks. Such a load off of our shoulders to have him here!! We will definitely be calling him in the future!”

About: I grew up with dogs. I’ve loved and doted on them ever since I can remember. I believe I have a kindred spirit with dogs—all breeds. I’ve proved myself on being able to relate with them, understand them, their needs and train them appropriately. While maintaining the Alpha of the pack, it’s always been about mutual respect between us. Bottom line: I love dogs, and they—me. I currently work during the week for the most part (though sometimes from home) and usually have my evenings as well as my weekends and most holidays free. I’ve had my own dog since he was weeks old and he’s six now—my best friend for sure! I have a fenced house, with a huge yard for playing fetch, running and such with these dogs (especially for high energy dogs) and more than enough spacious expanse for these furbuddies!

FAQs for House Sitting - Lund
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 4,116 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lund. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lund walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lund maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lund choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lund. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
