“Annie is a super friendly human and my dog came back relaxed, tired, and happy. Very different experience from picking her up from Wag Hotel where she seemed wound up, shaky, and upset. Really glad I switched to Rover and found Annie”

“Ghost was so well taken care of and loved on his stay with Zariyah. We got to enjoy our trip out of town without worrying about him having fun. She sent us daily updates, some days multiple times, and was always prompt in getting back to us. She took care of ghost’s sensitive skin and even went above and beyond what we asked. We will use her going forward!”

“Ceudi and her wonderful family were great sitters for our senior Boxer (11yr). She was attentive to his medical needs (medicine and care) and stubborn habits. She sent daily updates and always responded quickly to our messages. She lives in a nice neighborhood with a large park nearby. We will definitely be reaching out to her for our future sitting needs.”

“Anais was very aware and considerate of my dog’s needs and our preferences. She was communicative and shared pictures throughout the stay. I will definitely reach out to Anais again in the future.”

“Rocky is a special-needs dog - anxiety, sundowners, allergies, IBD, .... It takes a special person to board and care for Rocky, and that person is Florene. She has a heart for dogs, but she also has knowledge and experience - and knows how to command respect from them. I never want to take Rocky anywhere else. Even though it is an hour's drive for us one way, the peace of mind is worth it. And besides, we really like Florene and her husband Pat.”

“This was my first time leaving our dogs with a sitter and Qiana was amazing. She gave us daily updates of the pups and made sure to have playtime with them as well. Would absolutely book her again in the future.”

“Excellent experience! Buffy loved Deana and came home happy and relaxed. I really appreciated the updates and the photos throughout the boarding and it's clear that Deana genuinely loved and cares for the dogs. High recommend and will definitely book again!”
“Amazing person and dog lover! Would highly recommend working with Alexandra, she took care of our dogs and made us/them feel comfortable. It’s very tough to leave your dogs with someone new, but she made the whole process easy!”

“Bari is amazing! Our dog Frank has been going to Bari since he was a puppy and he always has so much fun. Her communication is great and she takes amazing care of him every time. Thanks so much Bari!!”

“Wendy was great. She took a last minute booking that allowed us to enjoy our trip with peace of mind. Our dog Miley got along great with Wendy’s two dogs. They couldn’t stop playing all day. Wendy kept us updated with pics and messages. Miley got plenty of long walks while in Wendy’s care. Miley had such a great time that when we got back to pick her up she almost didn’t want to leave. If you’re a husky owner who has a dog with separation anxiety I recommend giving Wendy a try.”

“Marya had our two young Frenchies overnight for their first time away from home. She sent us pictures and a video of them settling in and getting acquainted with her larger dog. She was very thoughtful in handling our little ones and communicated really well with us. We are planning to use her for a longer trip in just a few weeks.”

“Anthony is top-notch! He took great care of our King Charles Cavalier for four days. Anthony sent lots of pictures and videos of our dog playing with his dog, Kai. He took our dog on many walks to the local park and played fetch with the dogs his backyard. Anthony was very flexible with pickup/drop off times and had everything ready to go when it was time to take our dog home. I highly recommend Anthony for dog boarding and we will be rebooking with him in a few weeks.”

“Khyli is great! She sends pictures of the dogs throughout their stay with her and you can tell how much she really loves the dogs! She’s such a great dog sitter!”

“Cecilia loves her dogs and always takes the best care of my picky, somewhat high maintanence, senior dog who takes medications twice a day. Cecilia is always responsive, sends pics, and is very accomodating. She’s the best!!”

“Raven was amazing with Golden! He was so happy and comfortable with her, and I could tell she genuinely took great care of him. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands while I was away. I would definitely trust Raven with Golden again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”
About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I have been a go-to sitter for family and friends for many years and look forward to having your furry friend join my dog Trixie and me for the day. I am a notary who works from home. My notary work takes only a few hours a week, so I have lots of time to be present and care for your pet. Trixie and I would enjoy taking your dog on walks in the neighborhood; we have a park around the corner. I have a fenced backyard with room for your pet to run around or stretch out in the sun and relax. My 13-pound dog Trixie is calm and friendly and loves having other dogs come to stay.
“Lizzy is great with our dog Maggie. It was a last minute trip and I forgot to pack Maggie toys and treats. Lizzy took care of everything. I’m so glad we found Lizzy. It is such a relief knowing we are leaving our dog in wonderful, caring hands.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lund home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lund.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lund sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
