About: I have had dogs for my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs. Both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Trinity is our senior girl 13 yrs old, and Shira who is 2. I have had the most experience with big dogs (mainly German Shepherds and now Rhodesian Ridgebacks). I have done Schutzhund with my shepherds and have done dog shows and obedience shows locally with my Ridgebacks. Our dogs and the ones I take care of are always my priority. I treat all dogs like they are mine so they get all the love, snuggles, and attention they want. I have a safe and secure home and yard. We have a 3/4 acre completely fenced back yard fenced to 6 feet high. We are in the country and have lots of bunnies for them to chase. We also have a creek on our property that in good weather would be fun for the dogs to play in. I have some agility equipment that I will break out when the weather is nice and let dogs go through those or show them how. For rainy days we have toys and dog puzzles to keep their minds active. We also have a shop that I can put up agility equipment when the weather is lousy and cold so they can chase each other around in there if they are getting antsy. I also do daily obedience with my own dog and any other dog that is with me and wants to join in. While most of my experience has been with big dogs, I will work with any style and breed of dog after I meet them and we get to know each other. I also have experience working with packs of dogs, as at one time, I had a large pack of both German Shepherds, and then Ridgebacks. I also have a lot of experience working with puppies and can help with basic training. I seem to have a knack to help dogs who normally don’t eat or are very nervous when being left with someone else. I have had many boarders who’s moms and dads said were picky eaters or wouldn’t eat for a couple of days and somehow with me they eat well, don’t miss meals, and many times expand their diets. If you have a dog that takes medication I can, and have, administered meds that their parents bring. But I will only administer prescription meds written by a licensed veterinarian to the specific dog with explicit instructions. Bottom line, I don’t just “board” dogs. They are part of the family and treated as such until you get back. They Are talked to, interacted with by my dogs and myself and my husband all day long. They aren’t just put in a room or left outside to fend for themselves. They are truly being loved and cared for from the minute they are dropped off until the minute you pick them up. My husband and I are retired so I am full time at home now. So I can board 7 days a week. And overnight care at my house will be my specialty as you never have to worry about your dog being left for hours during the day or night. I have a very “dog friendly” home. That being said my house is clean and fairly tidy. I clean daily to make sure the dogs are in the best environment. My goal is to have your dog go home with you better than when they came. If they are full of mud from playing outside in the rain they will be washed and dried before they go home. If their nails are too long I will cut them (if the dog allows). If they need to be brushed, I will brush them and often give them a massage…this is especially good for the nervous dogs. If they are scared and feel nervous they will be returned happy and calm from being pampered while you were away. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture including our bed and can play inside or outside with my dogs who are very friendly to other dogs and people. I don’t crate any of my dogs and don’t require dogs that stay with me to be crated during the day or night. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night I will follow your instructions if you bring the crate that they are used to. Many of the dogs that I board sleep in our bed but they also have very plush beds throughout our home that they can sleep on overnight or during the day for naps. Wherever they feel more comfortable sleeping is fine with me even if they don’t want to be in our room with us and our dogs.

About: I've loved all sorts of animals since I can remember. I was the girl who brought stray dogs and cats home to be loved and cared for. I currently have a senior chihuahua and a orange cat called Keiko. I've always had dogs and cats while raising my kids, big and small. At this time, I am not working outside of the home. I would like to make petsitting, dog walking, animal care, my fulltime job. I volunteer once a week for two hours for furry friends. I also dog walk for one senior who has two dachschunds. I have a fenced yard. I make sure they always have water and excercise. I try to be as attentive to their needs as possible.

About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life and have a passion for making sure they feel loved! I always had pets growing up with my family having up to 3 dogs and 5 cats at one point! My fiance and I now have our own 2 year old Golden Retriever who is full of energy and loves making new friends! I'm currently a full-time online student at Clark College so I'm always home taking care of my Golden Retriever. Between my fiance and I there will always be someone home! We live on a acre of land and backyard is fully fenced in so there's plenty of space for your baby(s) to play and run!

About: I’ve been loving on four-leggeds for as long as I can remember—and I’ve meant every second of it. Over the past 15 years, I’ve raised two mastiffs (a Fila and a Cane Corso), both topping 180 lbs—so I’m very comfortable with big personalities and even bigger pups. My heart dog, Gauge, lived to 15, and losing him last March felt like losing a piece of myself. Caring for animals has always felt like a privilege to me. Earning their trust? That’s everything. I know every home has its own rules—whether your dog is crate-trained or couch-spoiled—and I’ll always follow your preferences to a T. That said… dogs here are treated like family. Think cozy, calm, and lots of attention. I’m a little (okay, very) obsessed with making sure they feel safe, happy, and completely at home. I’m fully prepared with all the accoutrements (think toys, high-quality treats, etc) to make your babies stay feel like their home away from home. And I simply can’t wait! If I’ve been hired to take care of someone’s fur baby, then that is my number 1 priority. I build my day around the dog’s needs. I make time for what’s necessary, and being a long time dog owner myself, having dogs in the house just comes naturally. Walks happen daily with or without pups around, so having a dog to join me would just be an added *major bonus. Potty breaks and special care requests are something I just tend to as needed. I care for pets in either my home or my clients home to my clients specifications. I do have a fully fenced back yard with a large grassy area. There’s an off-leash dog park right down the street from me that’s never very busy. I’d love to be able to take pups to the park. I also walk everyday and will be taking the dog on walks with me. I have a 5 year old son who loves animals and loves to help out with ‘the chores’ that come along with animal care.

About: I had such a great experience with rover when I was on vacation I decided to sign up! I have always had a pet in my home and I know how important it is to have a responsible pet sitter to care for them. I can house sit, watch pets in my home, do drop in visits you name it. About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my whole life. From energetic Huskies to tiny Yorkies, plus a few adopted stray cats along the way. I have experience helping to train puppies and keeping up with the daily responsibilities of both cats and dogs. I am currently studying to become a Veterinary Assistant, and I’m excited to share my love with your pets too! I have experience with my own independent pet sitting business. I did this for a couple years around my neighborhood in middle school. I currently work part-time and take online classes at my own pace, which leaves me with plenty of hours to dedicate to your furry companions. Right now, I usually work mornings, and occasionally in the evening. So I have lots of availability in most evenings. I’ve cared for dogs in a variety of settings, including fenced yards, cable runs, and supervised free roam. I’m experienced with crate training and handling dogs with different leash manners, from strong pullers to well behaved walkers. About: I have taken care of a dog, a cat, and farm animals since I was 12 years old. I love walking long distances with my dog. I am also very good at reading animal body language and I know how to do all of the basic animal care necessities. I am currently working from home so I would have lots of time for walks and hikes and play. I will make sure your dog comes home happy and tired. I do have a golden retriever and our schedule that your dog would also follow unless they’re special needs is we wake up at seven am, we go outside to go potty, then feed them they play and rest then we go for a walk. We love our Whipple Creek 🌲❤️ Trail then we drive home and rest. Then later I give them their second feeding, take them out to go to the bathroom and take a small walk in our neighborhood before it’s time to rest and chill and head to bed. I live in a cozy gated apartment with my husband, Greg and my golden retriever. My husband works as a in-home caregiver and when he gets home he helps me out. He is also an animal lover, and if I am housesitting, he travels with me as well as my very friendly golden retriever. I promise as a married couple we will respect your house and environment we will also bring our own sleeping equipment and we don’t mind doing house chores.

About: I was born into a family of German Shepherd lovers, and grew up primarily taking care of our German Shepherds until about 10 years old when we also adopted cats and labradors. Once I graduated college, I adopted an 8 week old Alaskan malamute, who I cared for his entire 11 years of life until he passed just recently this past January. I am not ready to adopt again, but am missing the presence of dogs in my life and looking to fill that space by helping friends, family, neighbors and members of the community with their dog care needs. I am experienced with puppies, high maintenance animals, and especially with large breeds (my boy was 150lbs at a healthy weight and required at least 5 miles of exercise a day). I am kind, caring, uniquely experienced, energetic and reliable. I currently am only working/unavailable late Saturday and Sunday nights, and am extremely active during the week. I have plenty of free time in general. I am respectful to how you’d like your dog to be taken care of in your home and out and about, and also have my own set of everything (leashes, crate, toys, beds, etc) if need be.

About: Hi all! My name is Peyton, I'm 20, and from Vancouver, Washington. I recently worked at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington for nearly 2 years, where I was an Animal Care Technician, working with all types of animals, including small animals like rabbits/hamsters, as well as reptiles, with a focus in feline care and behavior management. Here I performed basic animal husbandry like feeding, cleaning, and daily monitoring for changes in health, to small and large animal handling, handling and administering medications/medication schedules, special diets, managing animals with diabetes, administering vaccinations, wound/infection/fungus/stitch care, and working with and managing animals with behavioral struggles from all different backgrounds, genetic or epigenetic causes. Also a large part of my job being picking up poo of course! Unfortunately I had to leave my position at HSSW due to going to college for Animal Rehabilitation, which is why I'm now here on Rover, to stay connected with the animals, as well as to help support my journey! Alls to say, I’m certified in animal safety and Fear Free, with a professional background in animal handling, behavior, and medical needs. I have 3 smaller fur babies, all of which are rescues. Lulu, 12 y/o English Bulldog (still kickin' it, I know!), Piggy 4 y/o Micro-Bully, and Heather an 8 y/o Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who was rescued from a popular dog fighting facility in Houston, TX. This had caused some nervous and defensive behaviors within her, but she has taught me more than any animal has ever taught me, especially on how to manage these types of behavioral situations that feel hopeless. However, through patience and perseverance, today she's living a normal and silly dog life, you would never be able to tell what she has gone through now, she is now my dog that teaches other dogs how to dog properly! Back to why I call them my small fur babies, my family also has a dairy farm of about 30+ cows! Here I also provide basic animal husbandry, and have gained experience in large animal handling and behavior management, so don't worry about your Great Dane or Mastiff! With this I participated in 4-H for about 8 years, helping others on large animal/livestock handling, health, procedures, and agricultural education. Predominantly though, I have grown up with and cared for all different types of dogs. And to not forget the little guys if there's any fellow fish tank enthusiasts out there, I have lots of experience in owning and caring for different types of freshwater fish, including bettas, pea puffers, goldfish, etc. Last but not least, I've also had hamsters personally alongside caring for them professionally. Overall, I have heavy personal and professional experience with all types of animals, whether that's flat-faced or scaly, sleepy or the energy of 10 huskies, and from the smallest to the biggest pets, whether that's literally, mentally, or in their heart. Before providing a service I will ask and make sure of any parameters and instructions you might have, and will uphold them. As for my home, I have a 6-foot fenced, average sized yard lined with river rock, as well as a side yard bedded with bark dust if your pup prefers to do business there. I currently have 3 female mature dogs, so boarding is very dependent on what you think of your pets compatibility. Due to this boarding is stricter with dogs and puppies rather than small animals but inquiries are always welcome!
