Wendy was amazing! She was so good with my bully mix who can be wary of others! She took such great care of Luna, and took things at her speed which is exactly what I needed when finding a sitter for my girl! Will definitely recommend and be using Wendy again! Thank you!

About: I have been caring for cats and dog since I was a freshman in high school and have pet sat for several families! I have taken care of all different breeds from small to big and young to old! Whether it’s just a quick feed, playtime, administering medicine, or overnight care, I will make sure your pet feels loved, safe, comfortable, and cared for! I currently work at a produce stand working about 5 days a week! My schedule however is extremely flexible as I get to choose the days I want off. I also work with other girls my age that pet sit and we are able to leave when needed to provide care! In my home, we have a nice sized backyard where I am able to play catch and I also live in a large neighborhood where I walk everyday and can exercise with your pet! I also have a clean house if your pet is indoors!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years I’ve owned and cared for many different breeds and personalities, including Saint Bernards, Great Danes, and Coonhounds, which gave me plenty of experience handling large and giant-breed dogs. I’ve also shared my home with multiple cats over the years—many of them seniors—so I understand the patience, routine, and gentle care older pets often need. I’ve spent years fostering animals as well, frequently working with senior pets and dogs that may be anxious or slow to trust new people. I pride myself on being patient and letting animals warm up to me at their own pace so they can feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. My home currently includes an Alaskan Klee Kai and a Border Collie mix, so daily life already revolves around exercise, enrichment, and making sure dogs stay happy and engaged. When I travel, my trips are often pet-focused—I’ve driven cross-country multiple times with my dogs to explore new trails, parks, and adventures together. For walks, drop-ins, and house sitting, I always aim to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel secure in their own home. As a larger and experienced handler, I’m comfortable managing multiple dogs on leash and adapting to different energy levels—whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers relaxed companionship and a calm presence. I’m also experienced in administering most medications and providing attentive care for senior pets who may need a little extra support. I have a very flexible work schedule, and can accommodate most dogs needs! As far as overnight sitting, I will be there from 8 pm until 8 am and will also be coming by a few times a day. Puppies and youngsters (or whoever needs it!) can be accommodated with more drop ins just let me know! If you require 24/7 care this can be arranged as well just let me know prior to booking! Your dog’s comfort and routine are my top priorities. I provide focused attention, interactive play, and companionship tailored to your pup’s personality — from calm evenings at home to energetic walks or adventures at parks and trails. I’m experienced with all sizes and breeds, so whether your dog is a tiny pup or a gentle giant, they’ll receive care that’s attentive and consistent. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, happy, and fully engaged throughout their stay

Shannon, Thank you so much for the amazing care you provided for Bentley and Keeper. We truly appreciated the photo updates you sent while we were away; they really helped us feel at ease knowing they were in good hands. We were especially impressed by how respectful you were of our home and how you went above and beyond with cleaning up. It was wonderful to see how affectionate you were with the dogs, allowing them to warm up to you at their own pace. You clearly have a deep understanding of animals, which was so important since they can get quite sad when we leave. You are a truly amazing person and sitter. Thank you again for everything. Best regards, Therese Lewis

Oh, I’m not quite sure where to begin. Owen is such an incredibly sweet, caring and kind young man! We’ve used Rover several times as well as neighbors and friends and family over the years to watch our dogs (we have a 1.5 year old golden doodle, a 7-year-old mini cockapoo, and a 12 yr old miniature boxer) we decided to take a last minute vacation to go see our daughter in North Carolina, which means we were gonna be a good 6 to 7 hours away as well from our dogs, which was nerve-racking and none of our usual people were available. In fact, I couldn’t find anyone available because of the short notice in the five star review arena. I was hesitant to book Owen because the Rover rating had him only like a 2 1/2 star review. But I read the comments and he had two other five star raving reviews and then just one pretty negative rating, but my gut just kept bringing me back to him telling me to give him a chance, so I did. Well you know the saying, “Always trust your gut?” Definitely didn’t fail us with Owen! Our dogs can be pretty intimidating when someone comes up to our dorm. They barrow and sound really ferocious and then they jump all over you be a handful. Owen took right to them and they took right to him! Oh, I forgot to mention the other thing I was nervous about with booking Owen is that he is male. My boxer is not usually a fan of guys whatsoever and he’s super protective if I’m the only one around and not only did he not growl or act standoffishat all towards Owen he seemed like he had known him forever! I honestly wish I could share the photos on here of that same dog Ling with Owen and one of the several photos he sent me. He did every single thing I asked 100% correctly! Which honestly that’s shocking because I leave a full one page document single spaced typed out for people staying at our house watching the dogs and I expect people to forget or missstuff it because it is a lot! Heck my husband and teenage son that live with the dogs full-time don’t remember everything that I want done. Lol Owen didn’t miss a single thing! On top of that, I also have Ringcameras all around the exterior of my home and he played with them and loved on them and they loved on him. In fact I think they even slept with him at night! Lol we got daily check ins from Owen and anything that he noticed was concerning or had questions on he messaged us. And was always super apologetic about disturbing us on vacation. He’s probably nice to a fault Ha! He also washed his bedding in the bedhe stayed in, put our dishes away and some other things which 110,000% is not expected at all! The other thing was shocking is whenever we leave even if family is watching the dogs the dogs will rarely eat and they were so comfortable with him they ate normally! Fortunately with us, we’ve never had any bad experiences with anyone we’ve used on Rover and I would have any of them back again! That being said, there’s just such a loving kind energy that comes off of him that the dogs pick up on so he will be my first call for our next vacation. My husband and I were so impressed with him. We’ve actually thought about reaching out to Rover and seeing if that one negative review could be removed because I get everyone has different experiences, but I just don’t know how there could’ve been such an enormouschange from that review to now is, it’s just not even his character or personality which you will understand if you book him which I highly recommend you do! He should be there with the other five star people, hands-down! So Owen, thank you so very much for loving our babies while we were gone and making us feel so so very comfortable that I don’t have to stress about leaving again! You are a kind soul and I know you had asked me for any tips or suggestions or feedback I can give you for the next time that you can improve on and young man I cannot think of a single thing and that is saying a lot coming from someone like me who is a perfectionist and OCD! We can’t wait to have you over again and I know Jax,Nahla and Montana can’t wait for you to come and stay again also!

About: I have worked alongside my mom who has been with Rover for 8 years! I took care of my own dog in my college dorm for a year as well! I’m currently a student at AACC and I’m working on weekend at a restaurant! Most days, I work on schoolwork and hangout with my own dogs at home! I try to take my dog out every hour to two hours because she loves being outside! I try to give her fresh water every few hours and she is feed twice a day! We also go on walks when it’s nice out!

Alexxis was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Poppy and Beale, while we were away for the week! She took such great care of them and spent lots of time keeping them company. She even noticed when Poppy had bloody urine, acted quickly, and took her to the vet — we’re so grateful for her attentiveness and care. Alexxis administered antibiotics and kept us updated the whole time, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear our dogs adored her! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely book with her again.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Growing up, my mom had five dogs—some of which had puppies—and I helped raise and care for them. I’ve also cared for cats in multi-pet households, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and creating calm, safe environments for shy or senior cats. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I now have a black Yorkie of my own, and I treat every animal I care for like part of the family—whether they bark or purr! I currently work part time- and have lots of free time! I will send out a daily schedule of what I’ll be doing with the pets! I will take your dog out on walks on our neighborhood trail outside! I also have a few ring cameras, and will send a lot of pictures/videos throughout the day.

About: As a dedicated dog walker and in-home pet sitter with over two years of experience, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I care for every dog (and cat!) as if they were my own — with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs and routines. What You Can Expect: ✅ Safe, fun, and tailored walks ✅ Home visits that follow your pet’s schedule ✅ Clean water, food, meds (if needed), and lots of affection ✅ Daily photo updates and messages so you never have to wonder how things are going ✅ Respect for your home and your pet’s space I’m trained in basic pet first aid and always check collars, leashes, and gates before heading out. Whether it’s a quiet walk or an energy-burning play session, your pet's safety and happiness are always my top priority. Let’s schedule a meet-and-greet! I’d love to learn more about your pet and how I can help make your time away stress-free for both of you. 🐶🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because of how flexible and rewarding it is. Since I set my own schedule, I can book pet care clients around my part-time job shifts and study blocks, which helps me stay balanced and productive. Walking dogs gives me a much-needed mental reset from screen time and studying, and it keeps me active throughout the day. It’s also a great way to supplement my income without taking on another traditional job. Most of all, spending time with animals brings me a lot of joy and motivation — it breaks up long study days and reminds me why I love what I do Whether you’re at work or away for a few days, I provide reliable, in-home care that keeps your pets safe, happy, and stress-free in their familiar environment. From daily walks to feeding, playtime, and medication routines, I tailor every visit to your pet’s unique needs. 🔐 Safety & Professionalism Equipped for pet first aid always carrying a kit Detailed home-entry and security protocols Leash and harness checks before every walk Weather-conscious and always alert to potential hazards Respectful of your home, your pets, and your time 📸 Peace of Mind After each visit, you’ll receive a photo and short update so you know how your furry friend is doing — because trust is built on communication

Bo is so great! Rowdy and a new bff, for sure. She is extremely communicative, caring, and respectful. Our dog was walked to his heart’s content, loved on and well cared for while we were away. She even changed the sheets so a following house sitter wouldn’t need to do it when he arrived. We will book Bo again for sure, and Rowdy is thrilled.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with 3 dogs, and regularly pet sit for friends and family before deciding to make it official. Friends often call me an animal whisperer because even shy or nervous pets tend to warm up to me quickly. I work remotely, and am very active, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention (and activity)! I work remotely and have very flexible hours, so your pet will have plenty of time, walking, snuggling, and being active. I also attend run clubs where pets are allowed, so if your fur baby is social, I’ll happily take them! I have a backyard, and live in a community with plenty areas to walk and sniff. Pets are welcome to be on furniture and in bed! I’m an excellent communicator, and will work collaboratively with you to determine the best care plan for your pet.

FAQs for House Sitting - Love Point

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Love Point on Rover is $31.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,586 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Love Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Love Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Love Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Love Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Love Point. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
