About: I have spent my whole life around animals—dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, snakes, and more! I even bottle-fed a rabbit from birth. I’m comfortable caring for animals of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs and love making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work part-time at a restaurant in the mornings only once or twice a week, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to work around your pet’s needs and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and time. I’m also happy to communicate ahead of time to make sure my availability works well with your schedule! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will always follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’m respectful of your home and will make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and never left without the care they need. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and pictures so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for!

Cameron was great from his first response through his visit. Two minutes into his meet and greet I knew he was the one Alfie and Mitzie would love. Arrived right on time for both the meet and greet and his appointment, sent pictures, and left a note when he left. Now I can look for other places to go knowing my pups will be well cared for!

About: For the past 4 years, I’ve provided loving, dependable care for cats, dogs, and birds through overnight stays, drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and walks. Cats are my specialty! I’m very experienced with feline behavior, shy cats and multi-cat households. I love making pets feel calm and comfortable while their owners are away. I also have experience caring for dogs with different energy levels and routines, including daily walks, companionship, and overnight care. In addition, I have hands on experience with tropical birds and understand the importance of patience, consistency and attention to detail when caring for exotic pets. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give every animal! I take my time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I am reliable, communicative, and committed to making pet parents feel confident while they’re away through regular updates and attentive care. I am currently a part-time worker at a local pharmacy and a Full-Time college student looking to make extra money while doing what I love. I am free at least 3-4 days a week, the more notice the better I can work around your preferred schedule. My preference is afternoons, however if mornings or nights are needed I can accommodate! I am more free during week days but can make time on weekends around my work schedule as I typically only work 5-6 hour shifts. I currently can not offer my personal living quarters for care, however I am able to travel up to 40 miles to stay with or check on pets. If you are in need of someone urgently and live outside a 40 mile radius please message me directly and I may be able to still work with you! I will walk, feed, stay with, play with and care for various cats and dog breeds! I also have experience with tropical birds and fish if need be. I will clean up after all animals and leave your home tidy and neat, as well as provide updates at your desired time span i.e (Daily, Hourly, Etc.).

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals from horses to hamsters. I love working breed and high energy dog, and have helped train several agility dogs. I’ve trained show and obedience dogs as well, and am more than happy to learn any training specifics you’re looking for. I’m comfortable working with rescues and “difficult” personalities. I’m fairly open right now as I wait for nursing school and finish the necessary prerequisites for it. I’m new to the area having just moved for school and happy to get out. I believe all animals deserve the best care we can offer them. When I get an animal of my own I recognize them as a life long friend and companion, not just a commodity. They deserve to be cherished, respected, and given opportunities to grow and explore.

About: Hello! My name is Pamela but I prefer Katie! I am located in Concord/Charlotre, NC area and am willing to travel up to about 45-50 minutes away from my home base. I have been working with animals as a pet sitter, dog walker, kennel assistant, and as an ICU tech since 2020. I have loved animals my entire life and cared for every pet I have met as if they were my own. I have lots of experience with all types of pets with all types of needs, ranging from young pups and kittens to older ones with extensive care. I have gained hands-on experience administering medications that are oral and subcutaneous. I work with animals who are hospitalized or with special needs daily at my current job, so I am more than happy to accept pets that need attentive care while you are away! I am more than a dog and cat lover, I enjoy meeting other critters like (and not limited to) rabbits, reptiles, and rodents like hamsters and guinea pigs! I love to learn and gain new experience every day. I find peace and enjoyment traveling and helping people feel less stressed about leaving their pets at home while they do the same! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or requests! My full time job is an ICU Tech in an animal hospital. I work the morning shifts 6am-4:30pm every other week. I am given my schedule weekly and know which weeks I am working. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions and more details about my schedule. Please note that my calendar as of January 23rd, 2026 is up to date and correct! My routine for house stays, dog walking, or drop ins are based on your needs for your pets! I will do my absolute best to accommodate your daily structure for them by following a simple schedule by starting all morning duties between 7-9am, afternoon exercise and stimulation between 12-2pm, early evening for dinner or other activities between 4-6pm and then nighttime duties between 8-10pm. Throughout each day, I love to provide updates and some pictures to keep you feeling relaxed knowing things are going well. Otherwise, whatever you need is what they will get!

Claire was a life saver for our cat Crabcake! He had a medical scare the night before we went on a 10 day trip and she offered to take him to her house to care for him instead of simply checking in on him! She took amazing care of him and got him to eat again using pumpkin (which I would never have thought to try). We will definitely be using Claire again anytime we travel!!

As of September 2026, there are 2,190 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Locust. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Locust. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
