“Absolutely fantastic experience! Rebecca is reliable, caring, and treated our dog like their own. Communication was excellent, and I loved receiving updates and pictures. I felt completely comfortable knowing my pet was in such good hands. I highly recommend them and will definitely book again!”

“Robert was fantastic with my pups. I had concerns about my 14 year old boy with weak hips but he did so well with Robert taking care of him. Robert sent me pictures every day and gave me daily reports that gave me peace of mind while I was away. I recommend Robert for an excellent boarding experience.”

“She took very good of my dog. She took my dog on long walks daily for exercise, gave her lots of attention, and gave her daily medications. Would not hesitate to leave my dog with her again.”

“Nilanie is an absolute gem! She's sweet, patient, and so good with our cats. From our very first meeting, she made us feel completely comfortable leaving our babies in her care. Highly recommend her to any pet parent looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

“Richard is very knowledgeable and caring, he did a great job while my dog stayed for a week. He came home happy, healthy and energetic. You can trust him to take great care of your dog!”

“Alicia is the best pet sitter! This was the first time we left our dog, Luna, with someone else and Alicia eased all my worries. She’s very experienced and laid back, which helped me feel confident that Luna would be well cared for. She sent photos daily and kept me updated on how Luna was adjusting. Alicia also spoiled her with long walks and snuggles (her two favorite things)! Alicia’s dog, Maggie, was very sweet and friendly as well and the two dogs were playing and snuggling together after just one day. I would highly recommend Alicia and will definitely use her again.”

“I booked last minute with Ayuana and she accepted my booking. It was my first time using Rover and also allowing anyone to watch my pup and I would say it went great. I also had an emergency which I needed to push back my time and Ayuana was so understanding with my situation. She sent me plenty of pictures and updates while we were away of my boy. I can’t thank her enough. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Zai and her family provided great care for my 2 labs. She was responsive, flexible and I could tell my girls were well cared for. We will definitely use her in the future when we travel.”

“Grachel was amazing. She kept me up to date on my fur babies everyday. She even made a trip to the store to get them extra food since my trip extended. They took care of them as if they were their own.”
“Justin was a phenomenal sitter for our dog Dexter, he was great with communication before and during the booking, he was reassuring and knowledgeable about pets and pet behaviors! He also sent lots of great photos and updates throughout the stay, we felt relaxed knowing our pup was in such good hands! We will for sure be booking him for pet sitting again!”

“So glad to have found Kate! She took great care of my Yorkie while I was away. I can always tell when my baby girl had a good experience. She was playful and happy when she got home. Will definitely use her services again!”

About: I've grown up with a bunch of dogs and also have walked my neighbors dogs in the past. I've had all the dogs you could imagine; big dogs, small dogs, puppies, senior dogs, energetic, lazy! You name it, I've taken care of it! I'm currently working part time in the summer so I would have loads of time to take care of your pups! I'm free basically every day before 10:30 am and past 2 pm! I am very flexible with my time so I could be at your home as little or as much as your puppies need. I will provide much love, care, or exercise for your doggies.
About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats and even horses since the age of 9. From drop ins, dog walking, overnights and even puppy classes I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have potty trained, crate trained, and taught basic commands to both puppy and adult dogs. I have cared for senior dogs and have experience giving meds and care for post surgery/medical procedure. From the time I was a child I have loved being trusted to care for neighbors and friends animals while they were away. No animal is off limits as I love them all! I look forward to meeting and working with you and yours! I am currently staying at home while my husband works so my schedule is very open. Every day of the week is a possibility for drop ins or overnight care. I live in a home with plenty of space to crate your baby if they stay the night, ensuring their safety and ours. I currently own a 75lb goldendoodle who loves playing with other dogs. My neighborhood is incredibly dog friendly and is lined on a paved circle perfect for walking dogs. I usually do an AM and PM walk to allow dogs to potty, along with intermittently taking them out throughout the day. Most play time happens inside where there is a much lower risk of escape or overheating.

“Kaitlyn was very thoughtful and kept us updated the entire time. My dog even messed some things up and she still got him a doggy bag and offered to watch him again. I would send any animal to Kaitlyn to watch.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lloyd home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lloyd.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lloyd sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
