6. Lindsey J.
“She did great with our puppy! Ahsoka had a wonderful time on their walk, playing in the yard, kiddie pool, and with her pups. She was exhausted when we picked her up, exactly what you hope for. We were there only for the weekend, so it was hard leaving our pup with a stranger but she gave us confidence from the beginning to the end! And the picture and video updates were awesome! Highly recommend!”

About: From the rowdiest dogs to the most skittish cats, I strive to gain the trust of your fur babies and go beyond just looking after them. I started this business because animals have always had a soft spot in my heart, and I'm the first person to look for pets at any house party! I have always been an animal lover, and pursuing Rover all began when I wanted to do something more than walking shelter pups from my local rescue or fostering kittens and now I aim to provide pet care in your time of need! I document my favorite moments with animals on my Instagram @k9oasis. I'm looking forward to meeting your furry friends! With love, Victoria 💕 As a local college student, I am available to look after your lovely fur buddy when not in class. Over breaks, I am home full-time and provide boarding and in-house pet care. Based on each pet, I will personalize and create a plan in advance that works best for their needs! 🐾 EXAMPLE 1: A high-energy puppy would have a schedule for multiple potty breaks, walks, and options for trails/hiking routes throughout the day and a feeding/training plan. EXAMPLE 2: A senior dog might prefer a more calm environment, with enrichment from a puzzle toy rather than a long walk. EXAMPLE 3: A reactive dog could use some familiarization and a step-by-step process of earning trust before routine visits/taking care of them.

16. Ursula O.

About: I'll be honest, I adopted my first dog as an adult just 5 years ago. I did have a dog growing up though. I adopted a senior pittie mix. She was 10yrs old with mild degenerative joint disease at the time, and the sweetest dog. This dog was a fighter. A year after adopting her, lung cancer was found. She didn't have any symptoms. Then they found a mass on her spleen. I was not going to just do nothing. I raised the funds to have the surgeries needed. She lived another 3 years but then, two years ago, she started to struggle with her walking. I did my best to care for her. I took her to physical therapy, tried different supplements, and I always cooked her food. Since she coudn't walk very much, I decided to get her a little wagon so she could still see the neighborhood, and then let her walk around a little bit in different spots. Sadly, she passed away a month ago due to unexpected heart problems. I tell you this because that's the kind of pet mom I am. I love my animals and will do anything for them. I know what it's like not to have the help to care for your pet if you need to travel. I know what it's like to just get by financially because all your funds go to your pets. I will give your pet the same love and attention I would give my own. If something comes up last minute and you need help caring for your pet, I am here for you. I have done pet-sitting over the years, walking dogs or boarding dogs at my home. I don't mind different dog breeds. It's the aggressive behavior that I won't work with. I am also not comfortable crating dogs for long periods of time. I don't have puppy experience but am happy to learn and try and help in any way I can. Let's start with a meet and greet and go from there. I am not working right now so I have the freedom to care for your pet all day. I am hoping to do pet-sitting full time. I have a first floor patio that provide a little space for your dog to sit outside. I don't have a gate but I have a pallet I use to block the entry when needed for pet-sitting. I have a nice patio window that allows your dog to lay in the sun, watch the neighbors go by, or just watch the birds. My home is very quiet and the neighborhood is also quiet. I do have a senior cat so if your dog has a difficult problem with cats, like aggression and chasing, then staying in my home may not be the best option. This is something that we can discuss. I currently pet-sit an 11 month old Goldendoodle puppy, and although he was excited to see the cat, he learned to provide the cat space. Now they can be very close to each other without any issues. I am more than happy to check in with your pet a few times a day in your home. However, since I have a senior cat, I cannot stay overnight.
18. Wren S.
“Wren is excellent with pets. She has lived and cared for animals since she was a child. She is responsible, responsive and punctual. She is easy to communicate with and has a good manner with dogs. She is experienced in walking dogs in the city.”
19. Roman C.
“Raymond was contacted to pet sit for my 3 precious babies, Jack, Guam, and Marshmallow. He was fantastic to say the least, and the puppies took really well to him, which doesn't happen often. If he were still in New York, we would definitely hire him again for our family vacations!”

About: You can see in my profile photos the vast experience with a range of happy dogs. The love and care I take with each and every one of them is kindly written by their happy owners. I took a break from Rover after my living situation changed while in Williamsburg and now that we relocated our primary residence to upstate I feel it's the right time and place to continue caring for these lovable canines. Especially after my Bentley went to doggie heaven last year. He is mentioned several times in the reviews and his cute face in most of the pictures. He was the best sidekick a girl could ever ask for, I miss him so much, everyday. I know how hard it is to leave your furry kid behind when you travel. That is the main reason I signed up to host doggies. I want to provide the service I would look for, someone I can trust, who is dependable, patient, and just loves to hang out with dogs. I will report daily what your furry kid is up to with lots of pictures, videos and funny updates to you while you are away. I have so much love to give, I am definitely a dog mom fo life. I would have a little posse of them around at all times if I could. Maybe in the future- but for now I hope to meet lots of furry friends through Rover! I travel down to Brooklyn once a month so my calendar availability may sometimes change. If you have a specific date request that is not open on my calendar feel free to contact me and we’ll see if we can work it out. Located in the Catskills, we are a tucked away on a quiet lot with a big yard and loads of hiking trails. The nearest 'big city' to us is Margaretville, and a local vet 6 miles away. I work from home so your pup will have company all day.
