âThis was his second visit, he did well. Nicole sent me pics and updates on how he was doing. ( Heâs clingy and a mamaâs boy lol ). I'm so grateful that we found Nicole. I truly believe he will come out of his shell. I believe he will blossom with her as time goes on.â

About: Hello! Iâm a professional writer who works from home and often watches my neighborsâ dogs just because I think itâs fun. I joined Rover to help others who might need last-minute dog sitting. My own golden retriever Emmett chills with me all day and we go for walks around the block at lunchtime and weâd love for your friend to join us! I host one dog at a time (in addition to Emmett). Iâve been around dogs and pets of all kinds my whole life and am happy to just spend some quality time feeding, patting, walking or running with a good pooch. Iâm super comfortable with all breeds, just maybe not strong enough to handle anyone over 100 pounds unless theyâre super well trained. Iâve seen Emmett and my previous dogs, Henry and Teddy, through all kinds of ear infections, hot spots, and geriatric arthritis treatments and am really good at finding ticks! My brother has Emmettâs brother, Gary, so youâll see the two of them in a few pics together. Iâm a remote freelance writer so my schedule is very flexible. I walk Emmett every day at least three times a day so itâs really easy to add an additional dog to the mix. Iâm home all day so we all hang. Our yard is unfortunately not fenced but because I spend a lot of time at my computer I balance that with a lot of midday dog walks. When your pet stays here itâs very chill; as long as your dog gets along with Emmett theyâll have full range of the house and can snooze wherever and then weâll go walk about around the block a few times, which nets out to be about a mile.
âAmy and Chris were welcoming when I dropped Banksy off. Their location is perfect for easy drop off and pick up. Communication with photos during the day let me know he was well cared for.â

About: I didnât get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: Iâm happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: I am recently retired and a new dog owner as of 2024. I enjoy spending time with dogs and my own dog, Tilly, is very socialable with other dogs and humans. The fenced in backyard is a combination of grass and woods, providing plenty of areas to explore, relax and play. Currently retired and a relatively new dog owner (1+ year). I can host your pet any day of the week providing I am home. I enjoy walking, playing and napping with my dog Tilly and would provide the same level of care for your dog. My backyard is fenced in and provides plenty of space to roam around. There are paths through the wooded area, a large section of grass and plenty of shade. On a pleasant day, your pup will spend a good deal of time playing with our dog Tilly outside and then napping on the couch or an outside bed.

âJacqueline was very friendly and communicative, and Bunsen took an instant liking. We received photos of her well-being during her stay and of her mile walk. Jacquelineâs home is conveniently located in a popular historic town, making drop-off/pickup easy on the way to/from Hunter Ski Resort from our hotel. Bunsen was well cared for and happy. She was also so tired, that she managed to rest during the long car ride back home! We would book Jacqueline again.â

âMarielle took great care of my little Zuzu! My puppy started the day sad about me leaving her there and by the end she was totally bonded with Marielle! She was also totally tuckered out so she clearly got plenty of exercise.â

âThis is our 3rd time using Eleanor for Sparkyâs care. And we already have her scheduled again for a week in March. She continues to exceed our expectations. She has a genuine interest in Sparky and they both adore each other. We consider ourselves lucky to have made this connection with Eleanor.â

âRosalie was SO GOOD and patient with our nervous chihuahua. She sent great updates and he had a lovely time in her home and fenced yard. We highly recommend her for dogs of all sizes! :)â

âJack is so kind and patient, and really understands how to connect with, care for, and teach dogs! He is easy to communicate with, thoughtful, and responsible. Ellie loves her time with Jack! We are SO grateful for his excellent care!â

About: I grew up in a cat household and became a dog mom as soon as I left home. I absolutely love all of the cats and dogs Iâve been fortunate enough to meet in this life. I raised my pup, Grumble, from 3 weeks old until she left this world at 11 years old. I am very familiar with the range of needs a dog will have throughout life, from teething to play to mobility assistance. I'm fully available in the winter as my regular job (gardening) is seasonal and won't be picking up again until later in the spring time. I can be flexible to your pets needs and more than happy to follow any directions you provide me with for their optimal care and contentment.

Sophia worked out great. We needed a place to drop our golden Lucy while we went on a last minute New Years Day ski trip. She sent pictures of Lucy while we were on the mountain so it was very comforting to know she was happy and taken care of. Highly recommend!
