“Tania was so nice, trustworthy and on time. She communicates great. She sent updates and pictures while we were gone. She’s a very nice person and I definitely will be using her again.”

About: I am a woman in my late 50's, (a mom and a grandma) who has been taking care of "critters" of all types for over 20 years, between Texas, and my home state of Minnesota. I am basically available all the time since I am retired from my career field, in Nutrition, and do this full-time now. I have done pet sitting, on the side, even while working in my career field, as animals have always been my passion. My place is in the country and very pet friendly. I have a small Chihuahua mix, a standard Dachshund, and a shepherd mix, who are all quite friendly. Your pet can be immersed with mine, or kept in a separate, fenced area; whichever works best for your pet. All can be confined as to provide your fur baby plenty of tlc and attention.
“Logan is wonderful! She took such great care of my 3 dogs! While away Logan sent me pictures and communicated with us the entire time. I will definitely be booking Logan to stay with my girls again?. Thank you Logan!!”

“Jessica was absolutely amazing!! She sent us updates multiple times a day and has amazing communication. It helped us relax on vacay knowing she was taking such good care of our babies. Im recommending her to everyone I know that will be going out of town. Thank you so much Jessica ur the best!!!”

“Enya was a consummate professional and dutiful caregiver for my cat while I was away. She was kind, communicative, and patient earning my cat's trust and showing her love and affection while house sitting. I'd recommend her services to anyone in need of a trusted pet service professional.”

“Ashley did a great job watching our dog, Angel, while we were on vacation. She kept the house spic-n-span, did the dishes, stripped the bed, took out the trash, etc. She followed all the directions we left her and was responsive when contacted. We would definitely hire her again if needed.”
“We just finished our second house/pet sitting long weekend with Dominique and I'm so thankful to have found her here! She takes such great care of our golden retriever, keeps me updated with photos and all throughout her time at our house, and is a pleasure to work with. We are already booking another long weekend with her when we will be out of town. Thank you so much Dominique!”

About: I got my first dog 5 years ago and have cared for and enjoyed him ever since. My family has also raised doodle puppies out of our home for a few years now. I've been woken up in the middle of the night, cleaned up messes, searched for dogs that ran away and been on countless dog walks. I love dogs but we've also had cats, bunnies and turtles. I promise you, your pets will love hanging out with me while you are on a trip or at work! I am currently living in Texas with my family until August when I return to school. My schedule is very open, I'm not working currently and I'll do my best to help you out! I can walk your dog as often as you need or run them until all their puppy energy is used up! I'll do what it takes to make sure your buddy is safe and happy!
“Kylee is awesome!! She is super caring and communicative! My animals loved her! Unfortunately she got sick during the stay so we had to finish the stay with someone else. I’ll definitely be booking with Kylee again in the future! She provided excellent care!”

About: Loving and caring for pets is something I have done from a very young age, I enjoy the company of all types of fury friends! I have a flexible work schedule so I’m available for pet sitting most weekends, if I have a few days notice I could even pet sit during the week as well! I’m unable to pet sit in my home because I do not have a yard, however, I will always keep your pets safe in your home and treat them with love!
“Anna is a great pet sitter. She's very responsive and attentive, does timely walks and meals, and is great at following instructions for specific pet care. I will definitely hire her again!”

“Amy was AMAZING!! We booked her to stay at our place with our two dogs. She took great care of them and our home. We truly value her and will definitely book with her again and again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I’ve taken of many dogs since I was younger I even had my very own l. You can rely on me to care for your pet as if he or she is my own My schedule is very flexible so I would be able to care for your furry animal any time and would love to be your dog sitter if needed I would love to keep your furry animal comfortable so if you would like to bring you animals or snacks for your baby you can 😊
“Kelley was fantastic with my pups and took into account all their quirks! She even got my really picky eater to eat all his meals. The house was even cleaner than I left it when we got back!”

About: I havent done much dog sitting recently, but i have experience with dogs and i understand how dogs think psycologically and physiologically enough to keep your dogs safe with me. Im currently working part time from home on mondays, wednesdays, fridays and saturdays from 9am to 6pm subject to change or get off early due to slow business, but I am willing to work around your schedules. I love being around dogs, whether its just walking them, playing tug of war with them, or just chillin with them. I keep every dog i take care of fed and make sure they get the attention they require.

About: Since I was a young child I have had cats and dogs galore to watch since I was homeschooled. I also was paid to watch my grandparents 10 dogs and numerous catsl I myself have 2 beautiful cats named Binks and Yoda. I have always loved animals and will always keep your pet active! I am currently going to school at Tulsa welding school but I’ll only need 2 days out of the week to go to school at night which gives me plenty of time to keep your pets occupied! I always keep doors closed to places that might be harmful to your pet. And I will always follow your instructions to the letter because I understand that you have rules set in place for your pets. I also am really good at knowing when a pet is going to do something they’re not supposed to do and stop them accordingly.
“What a TREASURE DEE is for our family! We were a little nervous starting out because our dogs can be "iffy". But she came over, met Bella, Tiny and Duke ... and they understood her right away. She showed up every day just as she said and was generous with them and gave them plenty of time to run and play. Our trip to Chicago was relaxing because we could see our pets in the pictures she sent and they were happy as can be. One more trait that Dee has ... I really appreciate. She has experience with a wide range of dogs and our dogs range from mini-dachshund to Pyranese mix ... with a quirky border collie in the mix. She was skilled, caring, on time and a great communicator! What more could we ask for?”
About: I have been pet sitting for family friends since I was 10 years old. I love getting to spend time with dogs and I will make sure that they get the same care and attention as if they were my own. I’m currently a student and looking for an extra way to earn cash for the summer so my schedule is open! I will be out of town June 9-30. I am currently not accepting pets in my apartment because there is a no pet policy. I’m looking into changing this, but for the meantime I can’t have pets in my apartment.

FAQs for House Sitting - Leo
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 631 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Leo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Leo. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
