About: Hi! I’m Kayla! Highly rated pet sitter, Vet Tech, Zoology Graduate & Owner of Furever Together Pet Care 🐾 Thanks for stopping by! I’m proud to be one of the top-rated sitters in the region with 98+ five-star reviews on Rover. Quality, communication, and pet safety are always at the center of what I do. I’m a veterinary assistant with 3 years of veterinary experience, and the owner of Furever Together Pet Care, my licensed and insured professional pet care business serving Brunswick & New Hanover Counties. I’m proud to be one of the top-rated sitters in the region with 98+ five-star reviews on Rover. Quality, communication, and pet safety are always at the center of what I do. I graduated with a degree in Zoology and have worked hands-on with a wide range of animals, including exotics, at both the Greensboro Science Center and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. This background helps me confidently care for pets with unique needs, medical considerations, or specific routines. While I am readily available, in cases where I am not, I also have two amazing assistants, both trained veterinary assistants based in Wilmington and Leland, who help cover sittings when I’m booked or when scheduling gets busy. No matter who visits your pets, you’ll always have someone experienced, dependable, and animal-obsessed taking care of them. While my primary focus here is everyday pet sitting and drop-ins, I also offer wedding-day pet care through my business (happy to share more if you ever need it!). When I’m not caring for pets, you’ll find me at the beach with my dog, volunteering at a cat sanctuary (The Ruffian Foundation!), or curled up with a good book. Animals are truly the center of my world, and I’m grateful to have built a life and career surrounded by them. I’d love to meet your pets and care for them like my own! 💛🐶🐱 While I am readily available, in cases where I am not, I also have two amazing assistants, both trained veterinary assistants based in Wilmington and Leland, who help cover sittings when I’m booked or when scheduling gets busy. No matter who visits your pets, you’ll always have someone experienced, dependable, and animal-obsessed taking care of them. Flexibility of time windows (morning, mid-day, evening and night) are important for scheduling with other clients and driving times. Exceptions to this are medication administration that must be done at certain times. Your pets will receive detailed care with me! Your animals will receive food, water, any special medications/treatment, love and attention, walks, and playtime! I can accommodate any special needs you have. I have the ability to safely secure your animals in your home and secure your house as well.

About: I have always had dogs through my whole life and find that I naturally bond with them. All of my dogs through my life have been adopted. I have taken care of senior dogs with food allergies (gluten, and grain), hip dysplasia, and blindness. I have trained and have helped trained many puppies. I currently have two dogs as I always do, my youngest is 2 lily my ball of energy adopted at 1 year, and my Enzo he has Addison's and is on a daily medication, and monthly injection to stabilize his Addison's Disease. Enzo is 9 but a puppy at heart, he doesn't let his illness slow him down he was a beach dog I fell in love with while on vacation in the Barbados, he was estimated to be 4 at the time, I had a vet on the island quarantine and vet him (shots/neutering) and one month later I was back to get my love. We have been diagnosed and dealing with the Addison's for two years now and he couldn't be happier or healthier. I have boarded dogs in the past for about 10 years now, I also foster dogs in need of homes on occasion. I have no problem with puppy training, or senior care, I have dealt with food restrictions, medication administration, and physical limitations. No dog is to big, to small, to young, or to old for me. I am a stay at home mom, of one son whose 3 my dogs and I walk the trails behind my home daily, and a few times a week take an evening stroll on the beach. Aside from the grocery store or occasional errand I am home and with them all day. I have a very large back yard with three separate runners put out, for the dogs to hang out together, and go potty. We take daily walks for exercise, and no dog is ever left unattended outside. I have a big comfy sectional for there relaxation. I have no problem with separating to feed if your baby is more comfortable that way, I personally don't crate my dogs but have no problem if your dog is more comfortable crated at night, or while running an errand. I don't mind bathing, brushing or clipping nails at your request.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
