“Grace is a literal god send. I think she had one review when I reached out to her which is always nerve wracking and of course I am worried my glowing review will mean she may never be free for me in future lol but she deserves it. I honestly can’t say enough great things. Communication was stellar, punctual, professional, responsible, respectful, kind, funny, patient and very considerate. A gem of a human. I feel like I won the doggy sitter lottery. If I could leave 10 stars I would. Grace is a class A++++ person. I know she won’t be doing doggy sitting forever and whatever career she goes into.. wow they will be so lucky to have her.”

“We are very pleased with how well Darian took care of our Goldendoodle Maggie. She did a wonderful job spending time with her and taking her for walks. We would highly recommend her to anyone who wants their furry friend well care for!”

We are so grateful for Daniel’s help while we were away. We know who to ask next time we need a pet sitter!”

About: 🐾 Experienced, Loving Care for Dogs of Every Kind 🧡 For the past 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities—from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra patience and special care. 🐶 I’m comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and am also experienced with beginning training and reinforcing good habits. Most importantly, I take a welcoming, trustworthy, and patient approach so every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your pup needs exercise, playtime, companionship, basic training, or a little extra TLC, I’m here to treat them like family while you’re away. 🧡🐕 🏡 Flexible, Dedicated Care for Your Fur Babies 🐾🧡 I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me the freedom to travel and work from anywhere. That flexibility means I can give your pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve not just a quick visit, but genuine care throughout the day. 🐶🐱 I’m also available for house sitting and extended pet-sitting stays, making me a great fit for longer trips, vacations, or times when your pets simply do best with someone around. My goal is to make your time away easier and give you peace of mind knowing your fur babies and your home are in caring, trustworthy hands. 🧡🐾 🐾 Active Adventures or Cozy Companionship—Whatever Your Pet Needs 🧡 I’m an active pet sitter who loves getting outside for walks, exploring, and little adventures that keep your pets happy, excited, and engaged. Whether your pup loves a long walk, a game of fetch, or simply discovering new smells along the way, I’m always happy to keep them moving and having fun! 🐶🌿 At the same time, I understand that not every pet is looking for an adventure. Some animals thrive in a calm, quiet environment where they can relax and feel secure. I’m happy to slow things down and give them all the patience, comfort, and one-on-one attention they need. 🐱🏡 Every pet is different, and I love meeting them where they are—whether that means adventure, playtime, cuddles, or simply being a calm and caring presence. 🧡
“Allen was great! I needed a last minute sitter and Allen was the perfect choice. Great communication and put up with my silly dogs with no complaints. Left my house in great condition. I look forward to having him stay with my beasties again. Thank you so much! 💜”
“We just moved to St James and I was a little nervous about finding a new cat sitter. Olivia put me at ease right away, and did a terrific job with our kitty. She even brought him a new toy. I receive photos and updates twice a day. On top of that, she was wonderful with watering plants, taking out garbage, bringing in the mail and keeping an eye on our home. I will definitely be rebooking her”

About: I’m an active, outdoorsy animal lover with years of firsthand experience caring for dogs, including six years with two large dogs of my own. I’ve also lived with and helped care for my parents’ dogs and, more recently, two large dogs in a previous household. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including large and giant breeds, as well as puppies. I’m also insured and bonded. To me, pet care is about much more than feeding and walking. I want your pet to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Having had dogs of my own, I understand how much trust it takes to leave an animal you love in someone else’s hands. I enjoy following each pet’s normal routine closely and giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I’ll care for your pet with the same thoughtfulness and love I would want for my own. I work full-time Monday through Friday, so weekday pet care fits around my work schedule. I usually need to be at work by 8:00 AM and am off by 5-5:15 PM. My ability to get away during lunch varies and is not guaranteed. My overnight shows as unavailable Tuesdays — however, Tuesday may be possible depending on my work schedule. Please message me if you’re interested and I’ll be happy to see if I can make it work. For drop-in visits and dog walks, my profile lists availability for up to two visits per day. On weekends, I can often accommodate more than two visits or walks per day. On weekdays, visits and walks are available after work, with evening appointments beginning by 6:00 PM. My schedule can vary, so if the timing you need doesn’t appear to match my listed availability, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to check my schedule and see what’s possible. My weekends are especially flexible, giving me more availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays without the weekday workday constraints. I’m also happy to consider last-minute bookings when my schedule allows. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions closely so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I enjoy spending time with pets and making sure their needs are fully met, whether that means walks, meals, playtime, crate time, or letting your dog out in the yard as needed. I’ll spend time outside with them rather than simply opening the door and leaving them alone. If your pet is allowed on furniture or sleeps in a certain spot, I’m happy to follow the same household rules you use. My goal is to keep things familiar, safe, and low-stress while giving your pet plenty of attention and companionship. In addition to following your pet’s routine and safety instructions closely, I carry independent pet-care liability insurance and bonding for added peace of mind.
About: I have had my fur baby now for 8 months. He’s still a puppy and lots of fun! I have fostered a few pups this year and enjoy spending time with dogs. I work from home during the week and I have time to give your furbaby non stop attention. My building has its own gated dog park and a park for lots of exercise during the day. I enjoy grooming at home, playing with toys and training with delicious treats. I would treat your fur baby just like my own lil guy (Tino)
About: I treat every pet as if they’re my own—with love, patience, and genuine care. What truly sets me apart is my reliability and responsibility. You can count on me to show up on time, follow your instructions carefully, and keep your pets safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m incredibly loving and attentive, always making sure your pets feel secure while you’re away. I also believe communication is key—I’ll keep you updated with detailed messages, photos, and check-ins so you never have to wonder how things are going. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between, I meet them with calm, compassionate care tailored to their needs. My husband and I are both retired and just moved back to Leland, NC. We both have completely open availability to accommodate any needs or schedule. I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. My schnauzer especially loves to play and is always excited to make a new friend! My husband is also at home—he’s a true animal lover (and a bit of a dog whisperer). Our pups are our kids, and we treat all animals like family. They’re welcome on the furniture, in the bed, and anywhere else that makes them feel safe, loved, and comfortable.
About: Dogs only want to give and receive love. They are, perhaps, Gods greatest creation. I've worked at a Veterinarian office/Doggy Day Care nearly 5 years, caring for all ages and sizes. I volunteer at the Sheriffs Animal Control Shelter in Supply. I believe dogs enrich the lives of the people around them. I've always been able to bond with dogs. A mutual trust has always come easy. They're all beautiful, and people could learn a lot from them. They make me laugh every day. Dogs will always be safe and happy with me watching over them. I wiil provide great companionship and a soft, warm touch while you're away. I guarantee that you will feel completely secure and confident with my abilities to maintain a safe, fun experience for your dog. Having someone you trust to care for your dog is invaluable. I will be that person. We love to be at home. Being on a walk or hanging outside is what we enjoy. I work at a doggy daycare and can fit pet care at home easily. Daily care of our dog is walking, feeding, brushing hair and teeth, love and cuddles, and of course playing games. We love to take our pebbles with us everywhere. We will give the same care to every dog we meet.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lennon Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lennon Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lennon Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
