“This was our first time using a sitter to watch over our cats and Wendy was amazing! She was very attentive, provided detailed information, and had excellent communication. My wife and I were nervous to leave our cats with a stranger, but Wendy cared for them like her own. We recommend her and will be using her in the future!”
“Emily was awesome! I was super nervous because I had never had someone watch my dog before but she took great care of my high energy dog while I was gone. Will definitely schedule again sometime!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and understand how important it is to maintain their routine and comfort. I focus on providing safe, reliable care with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy and secure while giving you peace of mind. I’m currently between jobs and so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to caring for your dog. I’d like to do morning walks before it gets too warm out for your dog and myself. I can check in on your dog throughout the day. I’m available to come take care of your dog in their environment. Whether that’s popping in at home to check in and offer bathroom break or going for a walk in your neighborhood. Offering a sense of familiarity and comfort.
“Imani is the best! I came home to happy, healthy cats ♡ She sent lots of pics and went above and beyond with each drop-in visit. I am so impressed by Imani. She really works hard to give the best care to the animal, while giving the human client peace of mind while they're away. I will definitely be booking services with Imani again. Thank you!! 🐾”

About: I absolutely love animals — more than people, and will be gentle and caring with yours as if they were my own. I haven't exactly been a “pet-sitter” before but I will be flexible to any animal needs. I prefer caring for cats or other critters, but I am willing to work with dogs too. I am available almost all the time, but I am disabled, so flexibility and understanding is deeply appreciated. A talk/meet before booking with me would be great. I’m currently unemployed and disabled, so it’s hard for me to find a “real” job that doesn’t include physical labor. I believe pet sitting would be perfect for me. I am flexible and willing to obey any rules you set and fulfill your pets every need. I care for animals as professionally as I can, with patience and providing the healthiest lifestyle possible for them.

Your pet’s safety, happiness, and health would be my top priority. I would love to meet your dog or cat(or horse,or chickens,or livestock, or reptiles!) and love them like my own(who aren’t spoiled at all ;) ) I currently work part time, so I would have plenty of time to make sure your pet is properly cared for daily. I do not work on the weekends and would be happy to walk or play with your dog/cat all weekend. I am quick to respond to any potential issues that may arise in the moment. I am keen on reading pets behaviors and body language and can act appropriately. I am very responsible and respectful not only of your pets, but of your space as well.

From daily walks and playtime to administering medication and providing special care for senior pets, I treat every animal like they’re my own. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I’m here to give your pet the love, attention, and comfort they deserve while you're away. As a part-time nursing student and mom of two, I’ve learned how to balance a busy schedule with care and attention to detail. qualities that I also bring to pet care. I work relief shifts as a behavioral health support specialist, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows time during the day and weekends to dedicate to animals. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because caring is what I do, whether it’s my own kids or someone’s beloved pet, I’m fully committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lebanon
Wendy is seriously amazing and went above and beyond! She helped us out super last minute and even took the time to come over beforehand to meet all of our fur babies and make sure everyone was comfortable with her. We’ve had other sitters before, but the level of care Wendy gave them was just different. She was so thorough and compassionate and really paid attention to each of their individual needs. She refreshed their water at every visit, spent plenty of time playing with them and giving them attention, and genuinely treated them like they were her own. Her communication was also amazing. She sent detailed updates and pictures every visit, so we always knew exactly how everyone was doing. Our dogs got so comfortable with her that they didn’t even bark when she came in anymore! I almost want to go out of town more knowing we have Wendy to take care of them lol! But really, it’s such a good feeling knowing we can leave and genuinely not have to worry about our animals. We’re so thankful we found her and will absolutely be reaching out to her again! Please book with her, you won’t be disappointed!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
