“Received excellent care for our dog while we were at our wedding in Leavenworth. Kirby was very friendly, quick with communication, and sent us photos of our pup, which we really appreciated! They even took our dog on a lovely hike with her own pups. We would definitely go with Kirby again the next time we are in town!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 5. I grew up with four dogs and five cats. I spent many years training our pets, walking them, and learning the responsibilities of pet care. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and runs. I currently help a few of my friends walk their dogs while they are at work or on vacation I am currently only employed by taking care of pets while I apply for jobs as a firefighter. I am extremely active and can walk and run dogs most hours of the day. I currently own a 10- year- old cat. I feed him at the same time every morning and night. I believe it's important to stick to the pets' normal schedule or routine, so they do not get confused or depressed. I will respect the animals needs and give them lots of attention.
“Our family is very grateful to have found Kim, Allen, and Ryker! Bogie loves his weekly play date with them. He comes home happy and worn out; which is exactly what we want! Kim and Allen are very proactive and flexible with booking. We appreciate the well-planned out and structured days so the dogs stay active and obedient.”

“Grace is amazing and very attentive with Ginger. Played catch, gave a walk, and sent videos. Ginger looked so happy and Grace is so sweet as well! Thank you Grace. I will definitely reach out again if Ginger needs a doggy sitter.”

“Absolutely will book my little companion's stay with Tina, again! Tina is a very easy to work with animal caretaker who truly loves what she does. A genuine pack leader! And when it comes to working with my scheduling needs, Tina has always been so understanding and accommodating. For me and my little companion, Tina will always be our first choice! She's been such a pleasure to work with, plus my little beagle just loves her! 😏”

“Michaela was a fantastic host for our dog’s first Rover experience and made all of us feel comfortable with the dropoff and communication. Our dog had a great stay at her house during our vacation!”

About: I absolutely love all kinds of animals and was lucky enough to grow up alongside big and small dogs, a hedgehog, hermit crabs and fish! While in high school I lived on a ranch working alongside working dogs and helping to work with rescue baby cows. I am comfortable giving medication as it was my primary job on the ranch. As an adult I rescued my sweet cat Ali who I didn’t get enough time with so I was versed in giving medication with cats as well. I no longer have any pets and am new to the area. I can’t wait to meet you and your babies! I recently moved to Wenatchee from Colorado to help my grandparents out and am free most days when I’m not driving them to appointments. I feel comfortable with all ages and kinds of animals and would love to meet yours! I am currently caring for my grandparents home since moving then to assisted living, it’s two floors and I have a fenced in grass back yard as well as access to a car which I’m comfortable using to transport your loved ones!
“Excellent communication and was able to accommodate a short notice stay. Our dog had such a great time and was well taken care of and loved. The pictures and updates were very much appreciated. Definitely book again when we’re in the area.”

“Ken was very good with my dogs. Capable and courteous. My dogs in general have separation anxiety and they did really well with him right away. Kens dog Ziggy is very sweet and super well trained. He took them on walks and they came home happy. Would definitely recommend Ken for care. for my furry friends.”
“I am sure Paige was busy. We left her with two 11 month old American hunting labs. This means they are two very busy and active boys. We left them with Paige for 6 hours while we attended a function, and when we picked them up, they were happy and tired. I believe there was a lot of fetch for Paige. Thanks for taking on this handful. Great job.”

“So wonderful, all the way around! I knew my dog would be in the best hands. Sandy took her on walks and made her feel at home and at ease. Very easy, very fast communication- and we even received a detailed update during the day. Thank you, Sandy! 🐾”
“Tonya is a doggone great dog grandma (not in age, but in heart). She has the process down to an art - she introduced my pup to the crew in a way that let him ease into it. And she's super sweet to communicate with, so many heart emojis ?. The best review, though, was that my dog was stoked to go back the next day. Thank you Tonya!!!”

“Another great doggie daycare experience with Gabby! Gabby and her husband and 4 cute kids all made my little dog Tigger's day a special treat, he loved all the attention. I am a total needy dog parent and Gabby is so patient and kind and answers all messages right away. I defintely will take Tigger back to Gabby again.”

“Joanna is a puppy's dream come true! Joanna took care of my four-month-old puppy for a week and he had the time of his life! She's knowledgeable, flexible, and active. Highly recommend for folks in the U District area.”

About: I've had all kinds of pets growing up. As an adult I've had birds (parakeets and a lovebird), cats and dogs. I love doing basic training, supervised play time, and dog walks. I work remotely and often can take my work with me. This has provided more opportunities for me to get my pup out and provide a more consistent walking schedule for him. I make sure to follow all guidelines that owners have set forth, including feeding guidelines, and provide the care required for any pet I work with.
“Kiera was so fabulous with our 2 year anxious dog! We could tell juice had a good time because when we went to pick her up she was giving Kiera lots of love. Kiera went above and beyond giving juice attention for the entire 8 hours we were gone with 3 walks included! If we ever come back to Leavenworth to go skiing we are going to see if she is available to watch juice again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Leavenworth
Deanna...and her two daughters....and her two cats....did a fantastic job for us! Our pup can be a bit neurotic and we weren't sure how he'd do with kids and two cats, but then we get pictures of him napping.....with the cats....and the kids! He came home both days as happy as can be! Always tough to leave the dog/child with someone we don't know. He made it clear that we made a good choice. Highly recommend!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
